Since the Lakers are crazy about Yao, how about Tim Thomas, next year's 2nd 1st round pick for Lamar Odom and filler? That way, you'll save more room for Yao's free agent year.

You said that the Sox beating on Redding and May doesn't effect the Yankees' chances at the beginning.
