Yes we do. They aren't going to pitch again.

You beat on Tim Redding and Darrell May..I don't think this affects us taking the division.

I just hope Francona brings out Schilling to close this out.

    Why is Cena.....

West Newberry is actually a pretty nice area, something everyone I watch RAW with jokes about when Cena comes out. There are some shitty Boston suburbs though (I'm supposedly from the worst Boston suburb around, and even I wouldn't consider myself a "thug"). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wouldn't consider the suburbs dangerous. Even then, just because you live in the worst suburb, doesn't mean you're automatically a thug.

    Why is Cena.....

    1) Matt Hardy only got that pop now for the obvious 2) Even though those pops aren't even close to Cenas, he's too old.

    World Baseball Classic officially announced

His parents are Domincan though. I don't have a problem with it. He's been there anyway.

    NBA Offseason Stuff

The amnesty clause only provides the Knicks relief from the luxury tax, which the Knicks are over with or without Houston. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The cap still stays the same though. They don't have to pay luxury tax for Houston, but he's still counts on the cap for that year. Just that it should be 85 million with his contract (Salary Cap), that year.

    NBA Offseason Stuff

Both are as good as gone, unless Thomas re-ups for cheap. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I could see Isiah trading them for someone like Odom & Grant if the Lakers are serious about Yao, or someone like Magloire and a bad contract. Depends which player, he'd try the get some player of a rebuilding team method. Although I wouldn't have a problem with just letting them walk away.

    NBA Offseason Stuff

I think Jerome Williams has a team option, so you can say he's gone as well by 2008. It's not as bad as it seems, just depends what Isiah does with Penny and TT's contracts. You're missing Allan Houston in year 2006-2007, but the point is moot. By 2008, he's gone, and the salary will rise to like around 50-52 million. So we'd have around 12 million in cap room if we make low signings, including draft picks. That's with Marbury on the team.

Def Jam: FFNY CD and PS2 Problems

Just got Def Jam Fight For NY, great wrestling game. However, when you play it, the CD makes some weird ass sound inside the PS2, like it's being tortured or something. Anyway, the game ends up slowing down badly, so I decide to play GTA: SA. GTA: SA for the first time ever has some problem where the PS2 can't read the disc. Happened like twice while I was playing, and its getting me a bit worried. I've had the PS2 for like 2-3 years, and maybe like once every 9-10 months has a game ever froze or had a disc error (that's actually never happened). Anyone ever deal with something like this?

Well, there's your problem. The guy is funny, but an Isiah and Knick hater, so any move Isiah will make, will be bashed. I really don't get how trading a 33 PF in Kurt Thomas for two guys who haven't even hit their prime, one of them busting ass in the Summer League, really is a bad trade. But it was a trade the Knicks made, so it's bad! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They have a payroll of $100 million and won what, all of 33 games last year? He just spent $30 million on a guy who averages 4 points and 3 rebounds a game! People bash Isiah because he makes stupid moves all the time. He's been there like two years now and hasn't made one deal that has improved the team or their cap situation. So now he deals his only reliable big man for an undersized point and another who duplicates what you already have and we are supposed to praise him? Give me a break. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kurt Thomas wasn't going to be here when we do make a run at the title, so why not get rid of him for youth? What Isiah has done is built a young foundation for the future. Something we didn't have here with Layden. Frye is 22, Lee is 22, Robinson is 21, Q-Rich is 25, Crawford is 24, Sweetney is 23 (was here before Isiah, only one), Marbury 28, Ariza at 20, and Jackie Butler at 20. That's 9 players. 9. And that's the core. So yes, we now have something to look forward to. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's nice that you look at those guys as the core, but I don't think that it's a stretch to say those 9 you mentioned aren't exactly a playoff group. There is some youth there, but none of them have shown the ability to carry a team to next level. The problem is you are still on the hook for Allan Houston (who will be released), Tim Thomas, Penny Hardaway, Malik Rose and Jerome Williams for the next couple years and will have no room to make moves that can get you to the next level. This isn't exactly a situation like in Boston where you have the core, the experience and future cap room to work with. I'm not trying to pick a fight here. I am just trying to illustrate that Thomas hasn't really done anything except traded good role players for unproven youth and bad contracts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never said we'd get under the cap, he's trying to rebuild while being over. Although Tim Thomas, and Penny's contracts come off after this year. Jerome and Houston are gone after next year, and Malik is the only one with a year after. Right now, the core doesn't have to be a playoff core, they're young. Once they develop, they'll eventually work themselves into a playoff group, possibly as soon as this year.

I've also heard a trade for El Duque. We're probably getting El Duque and/or Al Leiter.

Props on the post Dangerous A. The Jerome James signing is a gamble. All it is. We're so far over the cap, that this signing doesn't matter. He's atleast a good shot blocker, something we were dead last at last year. If he plays something like inbetween his regular season and playoff perfomances (he'll probably get more minutes here), something like 8 and 8, and maybe 2 blocks a game, that'd be fine.

I'd like to get another chance to listen to Al's reaction to McCarver saying that a walk is just as bad as a home run right now.

You guys have like 8 starters though. Wakefield, Wells, Miller, somebody.

AJ Burnett is different. He's had more than one good year, and each year he's improved his control. He's also a strikeout pitcher, so he won't have to depend on the Yankee defense.

This Randy Johnson/Mike Mussina rotation should be interesting. We need AJ Burnett now more than ever.

    Why is Cena.....

I didn't know you needed to live the gimmick to use it. Also, you'd have an argument here, except he's over. He's more over than anyone else right now. So all your points are moot, till the rest of the millions of people don't give a damn about him anymore. Till then, suck it up.

    Why is Cena.....

That match against Taker was decent. He had a decent year vs. Eddie, Taker, Angle, and Benoit, but it's been straight downhill since. I don't know why. He's gotten worse instead of better. However he's the most over wrestler on the roster, so take that as reason 1, as to why he's holding the belt.

    Larry Hughes to Cavs

Wait, who did the Knicks get?! Ah, did you mean Kwame? I think he'd play center here, with Frye, and do like a Wallace/Wallace thing where they both change positions during the game.

    Larry Hughes to Cavs

The Wizards want Q-Rich for Kwame. We're trying to offer Sweetney and filler. Why not just sign him to an MLE Offer Sheet, and let them match. I don't think they'd be able to trade him for like a year or something.
