    NFL Week 13

I'm going to go with a Colts/Eagles Super Bowl, just to be somewhat different. The pick would really have to be New England/Philly, but I have a feeling that Peyton will finally get that win against New England, in New England itself. With the new rule (the 5 yard contact rule) being called on the corners more often, and the way the Pats play, the Colts will get some calls the 2nd time around, if they were to play each other. The achillies heel is obviously the defense, and that's what will probably keep them from advancing. I'll just go with Colts/Eagles with the Colts winning.

    Anyone up for Fantasy Football?

Nevermind, I got it. How will keepers work? 6 players?

    NFL Week 13

The Jets are better than both the Rams and the Seahawks. Even if they do get swept by Pitt and New England, I still believe they can beat both of the teams mentioned above to go 11-5. I never said the Jets were elite, but I do believe they are better than San Diego. And if you call coming back against Quincy Carter and the most conservative offense in the history of the world (that's what happens when Chad gets injured) a big thing, then there is something wrong with you. If the Jets happen to play the Bills, it would be in NY. I HATE playing in Buffalo. They are a good team there. But in NY it's a different story. I wouldn't put my money against the Jets in a Buffalo/NY in NY, even though the Jets did win by like one play. If you remember correctly, Buffalo won with a pass to the outside in Buffalo against the Jets that barely won their game, after Pennington got knocked out. I didn't get worked up over you saying the Jets weren't "elite" (doesn't really matter, recently superbowl champs sans-patriots haven't necessarily been the ultra "elite" teams). I got worked up with you saying that they don't belong there. The record, no matter who they face, and how they win says otherwise.

They don't deserve to be there? How so? Because they've won all the games they were suppose to win? With the defense they have, and the type of offense they run, I doubt they'll get smacked. Are they on the same level as the Pats, Colts or Steelers? No. The Chargers you could make an argument for, but they are hot lately and the Jets are not. They haven't looked impressive in their wins, and they've looked bad in losses, so I figure they'll be out of the playoffs in the first round, most likely in a blowout of some kind if they happen to draw the Colts, but a close affair if they get the Chargers. Either way, done in the first round. Well, considering they've won 3 out of 4, I wouldn't say they are cold either. It's really funny that you mention that they've looked bad in loses, when all 3 of their loses have come at a touchdown or less. Pretty bad, eh? Plus, Pennington hadn't played for 3 games. He comes back, and they win by 22. Also, the Patriots are probably the worst best looking team in the NFL when it comes to blowing out teams left and right (recently they have been doing that, but for the most part of their streak, they've won close games). So I don't get this logic that you seem to have with the Jets winning games ugly. A win is a win. You are bound to have those types of wins when you run the ball like hell, and run the west coast offense. I don't think they'll be out in the first round. Maybe against the Colts, but I feel we can score on them pretty easily. After all they might as well have cardboard cutouts out there. Our defense is getting better each and every game. 6 shutouts in the 2nd half is pretty good if you ask me. Against the Chargers I like our chances. We beat them earlier this year, I don't see why not now. Their win streak is going to end sometime; who knows if they start to look bad against the Jets. Anyway, what team do you root for? Is it the Bills or something?

So.... Who gets the famed Rock program at WM?

I agree with this. Since fans these days seem to be a bit more smarkish, or just for the hell of it, would want to cheer the bad guy, this would be the best way to get John Cena over. I like the Rock putting younger talent over, but it's going to get to the point where he just loses every big match from now and on and it won't even matter. If he's facing Cena, it should be the last young talent he puts over before winning couple of matches here and there.

    This week in the NBA

He's our new John Starks. When Houston comes back, he'll be more selective. Of course if he starts to screw up, Houston will just be subbed in. Atleast Tim Thomas hit a couple of big shots.

What does your team need to do in the offseason?

I could live with the offensive line. The Jets really don't need another big time Wide Reciever. Justin McCareins is doing fine with Santana Moss, and I expect Jerricho Cotchery to get some playing time this year. I can't stress enough how much we need a good tight end. Since the offense is running, and dumping it off for short passes, a good tight end would greatly help. A tight end who can actually catch, get yac, and a tight end who can block very well, would only help Curtis Martin and the short passes. They could also use an offensive coordinator that's a little less conservative, although Hackett has improved somwhat this year. Curtis Martin keeps getting better, I mean, if we can sign LaMont Jordan that would be great but I doubt it. I like our defense, must re-sign John Abraham. I think they are putting the Franchise tag on him though. They already re-signed Shaun Ellis. Since the front 4 is what helps the rest of the defense, a big time cornerback or another safety would help a lot. The team is well rounded, except of course, they have no tight end, which is a big part of their offense, and would be bigger if they had one.

What does your team need to do in the offseason?

For the Jets, i'll be quick. A real Tight End and improve the secondary. A good Tight End would REALLY help the Jets even more.

Well, my favorites: MLB: Both Home/Road Yankee Jerseys, Oakland A's green top, Cleveland's home, Cardinals home. NBA: Both Home/Away Knick Jerseys, Dallas home/road (not including the p-diddy disaster), Miami away black, Denver away. NFL: All the Jet Unis (dark green top with white tights, dark green top with dark green tights, light green top with light green tights, white top with dark green tights, and white top with light green tights), Falcons black, Chargers light blue alternatives, Seahawks home (dark), Panthers home (dark), and Lions blue top.

  16. Don't push it. Calling people fags every rap is hardly a good catchphrase, and Deez Nuts takes away about 600 points from him for being plain stupid sounding. Cena shouldn't have to be carried in matches. He should try to improve on his part instead of riding everyones coat tails. I'm not saying Orton isn't the same, but at least Orton has improved in the last 8 months. Randy Orton gets a god push. John Cena gets to face CARLITO COOL! I wonder who's going to try. So you're saying because he's feuding with Carlito in a midcard feud means HE DOESN'T HAVE TO TRY? Jesus Christ, what kind of fucked up logic is that? "Oh no, someone on RAW is being pushed and I'm only US Champion. I don't feel like trying (sucks a dick)." Uhh no. I think it was very simple to see that one is trying because he's being pushed, and the other isn't because he's still in the same spot he was many months ago.

    NFL Week 13

It looks like Chad Pennington will play on Sunday, with the way he's been talking. Herm has said it's 50/50, but Pennington said he wants to get back on the field as soon as possible. Our game is nothing but running without him, with the occasional deep ball. The defense has kept us in the games, past 2 weeks without Pennington (don't know what happened against Baltimore where they made Boller look like Montana). Whether Pennington comes back or not, it's a must win, a win they should have.
  18. That's okay though, Cena has faced greats like Booker T, Carlito Cool, Big Show, The Bashams, Luther Reigns, and Rene Dupree. It's an unbelievable list of immortals.

I'm glad the Knicks keep it real and stay away from that nonsense.
  21. John Cena. He's arguably the most over star in the company, has a better look, and can have a good match if he had the opponents Randy Orton is getting. Better on the mic, better interaction with the crowd, better catchphrases (sans-Deez Nutz). He's just overall better than Randy Orton.

I'd rather they keep Angle on Smackdown and send Michaels over to Smackdown. That would mean Smackdown! would have a bit more star power. It won't happen.

Should kids be tried as adults?

Yes, they should. You don't magically know what's right and wrong 2 years after the age of 16. You know by than.
