Shaun Alexander does that to you.
-
Like half of his homeruns have been hit in that situation. Matsui also hit one out to add to his very underrated season.

Big win by the Jets to finally get one in September. The secondary was a bit shaking with Chad Johnson burning them all day, but they stepped it up at the end with a pick by Erik Coleman, who looks good. The line did alright, but they got lazy on tackling when they took a 31-17 lead, but did hold on. Pennington looked great as usual, Moss dropped a few passes but looked fine, and McCareins and Pennington have nice chemistry going. Martin had a huge game, nearly 200 yards, and looked like he was 25. The offensive line helped in part of that, and they had a good game too. Overall good effort, next week off to San Diego.

NY Jets just tied it. Jesus Christ though, Paul Hackett has to fucking lighten up already and let Pennington do his thing.
-
According to this, the Yankee lineup is the MVP.

I like Little Giants. It's a good movie with a good message. Rebel against those who say that you aren't good enough, and make up your own damn team. I also liked Space Jam. Speaking of Space Jam, anyone remember the part where Barkley goes to play some basketball at some park and some person was like "Begone wannabe, begone". Was that a he or a she?

It wasn't that I was happy, I mean, when they lost I teared, wouldn't say cried, but you know, a tear here and there. But like Staravenger said, they came out against all odds and achieved something that hadn't been done.

It just depends the type of team you root for. If you root for the Yankees, you expect championships, simple. In the NBA in 1999 the Knicks proved the "experts" wrong and made it to the NBA Finals. Yeah they lost in the finals, but the miracle run was one of the most enjoyable sports experiences i've ever had. To me, we didn't fail, we exceeded the expectations. It just depends who you root for and what you expect, simple as that.

You've never seen a close shot of him? Yeah but, not enough for me to think he's Japanese. Plus the name doesn't give it away. It's not like Hideki Matsui.
-
Woa, I didn't know Dave Roberts was Japanese. Anyway, Seattle up on Boston, so maybe, just maybe we'll get a break tonight with Schilling on the mound.
-
I don't blame them. They are both like 57, we need some type of support for the future. He shouldn't pitch this bad forever.
-
I really didn't think Vazquez would do this bad. I've seen him pitch in Montreal numerous times, and with the Yankee offense he was bound to be a stud. So I agree with Al, I think there is something wrong with him.
-
Kobe should just use the rap they used for him on a Sprite commercial, and I still remember it: Kobe Bryant/slam dunk giant/Outplay the Kob?/Son don't try it! I still remember the Tim Duncan one too. Tim Duncan/He ain't frontin'/Drives the rock/And he'll show you somethin' Oh, and Shaq stinks.
-
Ah crap. So the Yankees are the HHH of MLB? Who are the other teams?
-
Actually, looking at the dates, it seems like we should give you NoCalMike's team. Can you PM me and I'll change the password/team name/etc for you. On second thought, since rosters are locked, i'll PM you my stuff.
-
Don't sleep on Frank Williams either. He's a good solid pass first point guard, just that Marbury was here in NY.
-
I'll just got with the best draft from my team: New York Jets: 2000 1 12 12 Shaun Ellis Tennessee DE 1 13 13 John Abraham South Carolina LB 1 18 18 Chad Pennington Marshall QB 1 27 27 Anthony Becht West Virginia TE 3 16 78 Laveranues Coles Florida State WR That, is beauty. Other notables from other years include Santana Moss, Dewayne Robertson (hopefully turns out great), Keyshawn Johnson, Marvin Jones, James Farrior, Ken O'Brien, Marvin Jones and Aaron Glenn as a few good men.
-
Rebuttal: He was doing fine, and I agree with you on that part of his career. But when he went from Sean Morley back to the Porn Star Gimmick, that was the end of the road.
-
I'll take the Travis Henry Memorial Fantasy Team if he's really not going to be in the league anymore.
-
Ya know, the Yankees do need a lefty.. But seriously, Perez has been their best pitcher all year. But I doubt he was on the block, which is why they didn't hype him.
-
Which two teams are inactive?
-
That's interesting. It's fun building a team out of free agents though, but we'll see.
-
Oh yeah, I was bored and decided to join if that's cool.
-
3 of them are Jim Kaat, Ken Singleton and Michael Kay.
-
Yet people seem to forget that.
