But the 49ers did win, so it's a great comeback. Although I probably misunderstood what you meant.
-
I'd say that was a great comeback, until the end of course where they couldn't snap the ball properly. That was a choke. Then again, their long snappers weren't good that whole year. So, yes, I say it's a comeback.

The A's are starting to suck ass. Out with Moneyball, in with some winning ball. Eh, then again, the Red Sox haven't lost in like 2 months.
-
Rebuttal: Yes, because there would be a new face as champ, and it was the old faces that ruined the ratings in the first place (HHH, Taker, Hogan). A new face was needed, and they didn't come through.
-
What a dumbass. A's still have a chance, atleast, although Pedro ain't too shabby either. They have to get to him early.
-
They got Zito, Hudson, who's next? WHO'S NEXT!?
-
I know it all too well. Joe Beningo reminds me everynight. Not that he's bad though.
-
Yeah, it must suck to see Zeile getting the playing time he should be getting.
-
Our compensation pick for Drew's greed was Eric Valent. We're even now. Eric Valent isn't that bad, you know, if he gets time.
-
They choked in Game 7. But got screwed in Game 6, and got jipped in Game 4 with the Walker 3 that shouldn't have counted at the half which led to Horry's 3.
-
Taylor is better than Henry and Bennett, but the not the rest (maybe Dillon too). He just get injured too much.

I loved the NY/Miami series from the late 90's, and 2000, where most games were 80-78. It doesn't matter if it's high scoring or not, but the reason there aren't much high scoring games now is because of the zone defense. + Teams ran more often back then. The pace has slowed down.
-
The Preparation H shirt isn't that bad. I'd wear it. The Taker shirt...now thats the suck.
-
No, no. That's an example of a screwjob.
-
Maybe now we'll get a triple header.
-
Personally, I'd like to see Yanks/Cardinals. A bunch of 10-11 games.
-
NP, but thanks for taking Contrera's contract. Luckily, Loaiza won't be here next year.

Guy has some points...
-
Either way, he'll turn face after the fans see his SSP. And Kurt just doesn't lose anymore, does he?
-
If Eddie loses again...

Broken arms = hurt. Of course when I dislocated my arm, I was like 4, jumping off some sofa, and i'm pretty sure it hurt. Not funny when you don't know the person personally. Funny when you do after you know he or she will be fine. My friend slid down one of those park poles upside down and broke his arm. It was funny as hell afterwords when he got his cast and everything, but at that moment, it wasn't funny at all, sort of a shock. I did however, pull a hamstring while running with my friends. Although it hurt like a bitch, I was laughing on the floor, while my friends were too. I guess it just depends on the injury.

I started a new franchise with the Jets (couldn't start with another team, too weird) and faced the Vikings in week 2, in my second yar. I was down 14-0 at the half when I scored a TD on a long ass pass to Tyrone Calico from Chad Pennington. Later on I tied it with a field goal, and from there no one could score. After a few punting possesions, I lost the ball on Turnovers, with about 1:46 left. I stopped their run for three straight downs and got it down to 1:02. It was time for Pennington..to shine. At my own 27 yard line I ran a few slant plays to Calico and Moss, and a couple of empty backfield plays that lead to an open lane up the middle for Pennington to scoop up from 10-20 yards. At about the 30 yard line, remember, I have no timeouts, I stepped back in the pocket ran foward and threw it on the run. I got it to Moss at about the 15 or so, but I got a penalty for throwing pass the line of scrimmage. I thought it was the right call at first, but luckily the booth challenged and the replay clearly showed that I threw the ball with one foot behind the line of scrimmage and the other still in the air. So the time stopped, and I ran up a few more yards with a hurry up offense. I was going to run up again to the endzone (currently at about the 5) but the defensive line caught up to me and I had to scurry back. In a desperate throw I caught Moss at the end of the endzone for the TD, and the win with about 1 second left. It was beautiful.

I agree. He's underrated, nearly had 2,000 yards last year, and barely gets recognition because of Favre. But he's not better than Holmes. 1. Tomlinson 2. Holmes 3. Ahman Green 4. Lewis 5. Deuce 6. Portis 7. Alexander

I'm better than Loaiza.

New York Jets: Scale 1-5 (1 Worst, 5 Best) Quarterback: Everyone knows that the Jets' chances at the playoffs this year will depend on Chad Pennington. Pennington, arguably a top 5 QB in the NFL, when healthy, is set to have his first full year with the team. This will be his first opening day start. While he may not have the strongest arm, he has great accuracy, superb awareness, and has the best playaction in the league. Backing him up will be Quincy Carter, who's been to the playoffs and has decent enough experience to win some games incase something horrible happens. Rating: 5 Wide Reciever: Santana Moss will enter his second year as a full-time wide reciever. Last year he tore it up, and had a break out year with 74 receptions and 1,105 yards. His speed and quickness will be paired up with McCareins speed and strength. McCareins came over from the Titans for a second round pick (good trade IMO), he still has tons of upside, like Moss and should fit along nicely with him. Along with them will be the always reliable and should be healthy Wayne Chrebet, the speedy Jonathan Carter who can also have a breakout year (had a great game against the Colts last year), and rookie Jerricho Cotchery out of NC State. Rating: 4 Running Back: Curtis Martin will be here another year, and looks in great shape. He looks to tie Barry Sander's 10 year in a row with 1,000 rushing yards in his 7th year with the Jets. Behind him will be LaMont Jordan who will be playing for a contract, so hopefully we get something out him. He's decent, when he's healthy. Jonathan Reese from Columbia opened some eyes, although he should be a third stringer at best, unless he shows something during the season. Rating: 3 Tight End: Anthony Becht's job looks in doubt with Baker coming on in the preseason. Which is a good thing, because I can't take enough of his dropped passes. Hopefully Baker will be able to hold down that spot with a solid numer of receptions. One thing Becht does offer is blocking, but that's pretty much it. Rating: 2.5 Offensive Line: The Line was bolstered up with the addtion of Pete Kendall. Kendall should fit nicely alongside Pro Bowler Kevin Mawae, 4th year man Kareem McKenzie (who should get an extension), Jason Fabini and Brent Smith. Goodwin and Moore rotate on a now a bit above average line that should open up holes for Curtis Martin. Rating: 3 Defensive Line: Abraham, Ellis, Robertson, Thomas, Evans and Ferguson. If Abraham stays healthy he will be a pro-bowler. Ellis should follow up his pro-bowl season with another solide one. With a year under his belt Roberstson should show us why we traded 3 picks for him, as he should show. Thomas has got to show his potential this year. He shouldn't be a first round pick for no reason, and Evans and Ferguson are solid rotating and backing up. The pass rush from this line is great, but those tackles on the running backs, and tackles period, might hurt us, although I doubt it should be a problem this year with Abraham. This line should anchor the rest of the D. Rating: 4 Linebackers: Barton, Hobson, and Glenn on the outside. Barton, coming from Oakland should provide a boost on the tackling sorely needed. Hobson will become a bigger contributor this year after a very solid first year. Glenn is a decent back up, although not as good as his bro. Vilma should fit extremely will in the middle and wreak havoc. The man has skills, great leadership, and is a tackling monster. Cowart needs to be halfway decent atleast, although I prefer Vilma starting here. Rating: 3.5 The Secondary: Barrett, Abraham, Strait, and Mickens provide solid CB's, although not the best. Speed and youth is what we need and Strait, who I believe was a steal should provide that. Abraham, like the other, has got to stay healthy and he'll be a pretty good coverage guy. Barrett, not so sure about him, but it looked like he had a decent year at Arizona. As for Mickens, makes it through one more year, and hopefully he'll give us a good one. McGraw and Tongue should provide two safeties with decent strength and tackling downfield. McGraw, has got to stay healthy too, and Tongue was a decent signing, hopefully he'll make us forget of what might of been with Lynch. Rating: 3 Special Teams: Doug Brien = Solid from 45 and under, not so sure of above, and Gowin should be back to normal and shouldn't have a horrible year punting the ball like last year. Moss and Carter two kick/punt returners who each might get a TD. Rating: 3.5 Tough division with N.E and Buffalo, but I hope to see good things from this team.
