And 'Melo just got arrested; DUI.

The 2003 and 2004 ALCS were the pinnacle. I don't think we'll ever get the kind of drama that those series provided again. Now it's just two good teams whose fanbases and ownership really hate each other (well, we know Hank Steinbrenner's feelings anyway). I guess Anglesault was right when he said the rivalry won't be as good as when it was before they broke the "curse". As long as the Red Sox keep winning games, I'll hate them.
-
You make it sound like it's the only thing on TV though. Honestly, when I watch games, and I really haven't watched this one yet, I don't care how the game goes as long as the team I'm rooting for wins.
-
Here's a better one. If you hate these games, don't watch.
-
So you rather have Jason Marquis over Chien-Ming Wang?
-
Post here if you dislike Will Ferrell...
Brett Favre replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Television & Film
I just think he's overexposed. Plus he's the same character in every movie, but he's a funny guy if they cut back a bit on his movies, and change the stories up a bit. He was pretty funny in Wedding Crashers too. -
That's BS. Wang has an ERA of like 3.70 the past 3 years in the AL East. You make it sound like he's fucking Jason Marquis or some shit.
-
Sabathia's offense sucked? Sizemore, Martinez, and Hafner just spat at you. Peavy and Webb haven't helped anyone with the way they've pitched in the playoffs, and Santana hasn't looked "dominant". You said an ace should look dominant and lead their teams to victory. Sabathia didn't look dominant. Peavy and Webb sucked ass and Santana has looked better, but his team didn't advance. You keep changing your argument from being able to win games, to being able to dominate games, to being able to lead teams to victory, and all this crap. Just cause Wang ain't as good as Beckett or Santana doesn't mean he can't be an ace.
-
Peavy, Santana, Webb, and Sabathia aren't aces then. So why the hell would you call them legit aces? I think better of Hughes than a lot of people, so don't think of it as an insult to Wang.
-
If he's 2 runs better at home, I'll start him at home. Just because you have an ace doesn't mean you don't have anyone else capable of pitching a postseason game. I felt Hughes was good enough to start game 1, and since Wang struggles in away games, or at least pitches better at home, I rather see him pitch at home.
-
I guess the only ace in the league is Josh Beckett.
-
So because I feel he's better at home, which he is, he can't be an ace? I'm just playing the percentages. Would you call Jake Peavy an ace? Cause he sucks ass in the playoffs. Brandon Webb had a bad start last year. Sabathia wasn't anything special. Wang is better at home, so let him pitch at home (although he sucked there last year in the division series as well).
-
His first two postseasons were pretty good. Last year he had a rough division series.
-
Too bad he's not an "ACE".
-
Mike Tirico is boring as shit.

Max Kellerman Show with Brian Kenny. 1050espnradio.com.

What's the name of that move Roxxi did to win the match? That was nasty. Also, I like the way they're building up their matches now with the video packages and all that. It's working for them.
-
Kerry Rhodes resigns with the Jets, 5 years and 34 million. Also, it appears that Jake Long is negotiating with the Dolphins.
-
And it rocked, IIRC.
-
Don't forget Mike Bibby. Dude isn't afraid to take some big shots, if Joe Johnson lets him.

"Pistol: The Life of Pete Maravich" by Mark Kriegel has been great from what I've read thus far (mostly on his father and how obsessed he was with basketball). Maravich IMO is arguably the most skilled basketball player ever. He was talented, but what set him apart was his crazy ass work ethic (like 8 hours a day of practice since he was like 9 years old). That was detrimental to his personal life though.

Some opinions are just wrong and deserve to be shat on.
-
Billy Packer needs to shut the hell up. I don't care if he's calling the game!
-
In that case, if neither of them return, I just want to keep Steve Nash. If one of them returns, I'd like to keep Steve Nash and Shawn Marion. If they both return, I'd like to keep Steve Nash, Manu Ginobili, and Shawn Marion.
-
Did you see the last two shots he took? He thinks he's Karl Malone.
