Let me preffice what I'm about to say by mentioning that I am NOT an MTV fan and I really havent watched the network regularly since 2001. Your arguement sucks. MTV in one way or another responds to the trends of the current teen/ early college student demographic. Thats what always have done and what they'll continue to do. They like every other network put together shows that they think that demo will eat up. Some shows work others dont. The ones that dont work are for all intents and purposes spit back in their faces. This notion that MTV has this mind-controlling power over teenagers has always gotten up my ass..

The biggest moment came for me last night when the Lightning held a celebration of the 1-year anniversary of the win at the Forum. They replayed Game 7 on one of the local stations here and watching that game again nearly brought tears to my eyes. I still dont know how Khabby made that save on Jordan Leopold with 5:00 to go. Over the past year with all the bullshit thats happened I've forgotten how much I love the game, but after last night (granted it'll be harder for most than it is for me) I'm willing to forgive and welcome hockey back with open arms.

Okay folks, It's back and while the competition itself may be mundane to me this year, the auditions last night were not. Share your thoughts.

Dont get me wrong MooreMark, she wont kill American Idol but Bo was better IMO.

Also keep in mind adding to what Lushus said and what I said last week Carrie has the most organized fanbase perhaps in AI history. They ALWAYS vote and she has never even sniffed the Bottom 3 (until last week winks at Kevin). Go on the internet and do a search for her you'll find a bunch of fan groups for her. Bo has some stuff too but not to the same degree. I think there was a slight edge to Carrie last night if only because she had the last performance of the show which is what people will remember. So for tonight I say Carrie wins by 7500 votes, two years from now Bo wins by 3 million.

Is anyone else noticing how they're trying to rig this for Carrie. The band has been awfully loud for Bo and awfully soft for Carrie tonight. Even though in spite of that Bo did win Round 2.

I cant agree with you on this one nl5. I think Doc can be a top-flite coach if Antoine and Paul stay together next year (I know thats a big if). Plus, had Grant Hill's ankle healed properly I could've easily see Orlando winning 50 in a couple of those years. The Celtics werent that good of a team and were too green (no pun intended), young teams 9 times out of 10 get schooled by an older team in the NBA playoffs talent or no talent.

Unless Bo bombs next week he should win. However, the thing to watch for is that Carrie's fanbase ALWAYS votes. She hasn't been in the bottom 3 once even on off weeks.
