The action figure you must own

OMG SO FUNNAY BECUZ SHE'S DUM SO SHE MUST REELY BE A MAN OMGLOLZORS~! Jeez. Coulter says enough frightening things for anyone to take her to task on. Do we really need to result to penis jokes -- and not just penis jokes, but bad penis jokes?
  3. I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here, but pro wrestling requires a not-so-small amount of suspension of belief. In any "real" fight, no one is going to pull out a 619 or West Coast Pop. You won't even see a dropkick. These are all things that wrestlers add to their matches to create excitement. So, when you see this crazy, surreal sport in action, you've got to consider the normal rules of combat, in addition to physics, pretty much out the window. I've always felt anyone can be credible beating anyone else, as long as they're booked well. Eddie may not have gotten the upper hand much on Big Show, but I thought the attack before the PPV (when Show smashed both Eddie and his ride) gave the feud an emotional fire, and gave Eddie motivation to pull out hidden reserves, so to speak, and upset the Big Show. Not to mention, Eddie was hot at the time, and from a "smark" standpoint, it wasn't inconceivable that he'd retain. Think of how often Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels beat bigger guys. Would they win in a street fight, or a barroom brawl? Probably not. But because they were perceived as the superior wrestlers, people bought their victories, and the result was two memorable world champions. It's important to do well in the ring, even in this day and age. It isn't the only factor, but the credibility it gives you is invaluable. Eddie has that credibility, and that's why I feel it would have been very realistic, in WWE terms, to see him go over. But now we get Big Show playing lackey to Brok and essentially devaluing the US Title, which Eddie worked somewhat hard to make seem meaningful. Let's hope they can get out of that pattern before they have another Intercontinental Title -- something that was once so meaningful that's essentially a token belt now.

I don't know what's worse: your complete disregard for the fact that there are many people out there whose brains are simply wired to be prone to addiction, or the fact that you acknowledge that in your first sentence and then promptly write it off in the second. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be a prick, but it's not that simple. You can become addicted to anything that gives you pleasure (it isn't that simple, but for the sake of argument). Booze, drugs, sex, gambling, more. Addiction has very little to do with someone's will, and more to do with the chemicals the brain releases when the addict is involved with thier vice. Sure, it takes a strong will to break the addiction, but when one becomes addicted in the first place, they often don't even realize it, and aren't prepared to break that addiction. In short, the will has to be built up, through therapy, treatment, and from within. Many strong-willed people aren't strong enough to deal with addiction, at first. Now, if you get clean, and then fall off the wagon...while it's understandable to a point, that may be the result of a weak will (or it may be outside factors). However, it's still hard for anyone to judge, since addiction is often a life-long disease that people never fully beat. And yes, there are addicts and former addicts in my family, so it does hit a nerve, and I do know what I'm talking about.

    Crucifixio Jones question

I hate those fucks. It's not like it's hard, if you're a baseball fan at all. In fact, doesn't it go a little like... 2B Soriano 1B Johnson SS Jeter DH Giambi LF Matsui C Posada CF Williams 3B Boone RF Garcia (fielders may be off) Now I admit. they were just on TV, but I could still have nailed at least 7 of those, and I'm from Minnesota. Jesus, some people suck.

    Who's on the injured list?

I was questionable for last week with a collarbone bruised carrying heavy boxes at work. Fortunately, I made it through (with pain) and should be fine for next week at Cincinnati.

    Straight Edge

If a straight edger knocks your cup or joint out of your hand, and you don't respond, it makes you the better person, at least in that scenario. Once you can be comfortable with that knowledge, you'll be tons better off. You'll take more in stride, and people will like and respect you. I mean, I can understand getting mad at people who force their beliefs on you, but believe me, you're a lot better letting it slide.
