My personal suggestions based on guys I like would be to track down early Sting matches such as the matches vs Flair, Rude, Vader, Cactus Jack, and Muta. Hell, go track down his three matches with Regal from the early 90s, you should be able to find all three if you can find one. Even some of his stuff in the late 90s vs Goldberg, DDP(Monday Nitro in 99 or 00), Bret Hart(WCW Mayhem). Sting has never really lost his athletic ability, but used it to his advantage in the early 90s. His work in the late 80s to mid 90s, the crow angle, and his stuff in TNA are why he's my favorite wrestler. The Cactus Jack vs Vader matches are all pretty interesting to watch. They were different from a lot of what was going on back in the early 90s. Steven Regal(William) in the 90s was a treat to watch even though his recent work is fun to watch as well. His brawls and matches with the Belfast Bruiser(Finlay) are all fun to watch. I believe Ricky Steamboat and Rick Rude had a good 30 minute Ironman match at one of the Beach Blast ppvs. I have more suggestions that I may post, hope I helped.

Armchair Bookers:What if Hogan never went to WCW?
The Buzz replied to Zack Malibu's topic in General Wrestling
Sting, Flair, and Vader wouldn't have been pushed out of the spotlight. Sting probably would still have went to a darker character, but with less success due to no nWo. Steve Austin might have ended up staying in WCW. A lot of guys would have been given a chance to shine, but WCW might have ended up shutting a lot earlier. -

F4W/WON WWE Notes - September 9th - 15th
The Buzz replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Punk has done pretty well for himself, he's been on WWE tv now for what 2 years? He has already held two of their heavyweight titles(I don't know if they are considering the ECW title a world title or not anymore). Punk will probably be a force in the uppercard-main event for quite some time. -
I thought the video was pretty well done could have been a little longer and went over feuds, but for an overview of his life and career this was pretty well done.

I kind of like where TNA is going with this Sting storyline. Problem is I know it will dissolve over time.

So basically the excuse as to why the game is a 60 dollar demo is....*whiny voice on* It's really hard to make a game from scratch about wrestlers, but but but give us 3 more years and we'll release something worth buying. Maybe it'll still be fun to play, but seems like it's a rental for sure now.

I think Big Show and Kane have enough decent or matches that were better than they should have been that you could do a two disc set for either with a documentary and extras on one disc and like 6 matches on the second disc.

Fans are going to boo Sting over Jarrett. I haven't watched recently so maybe it's working, but I'm having a hard time believing that the heel turn will work now when it didn't work ten years ago.

I liked the original idea of the draft where the World Champion traveled from show to show, and I think the tag champions did as well.

http://nwewrestling.homedns.org/warrior.php I don't know if there are any Warrior fans like myself, but he definitely needs to do some running to get his legs back under him.

I have a quick question for those who are more in the know about MMA, which is pretty much everyone in this folder. If Lesnar is to lose again even if he puts on another strong showing, will he be damaged goods or will it be shrugged off again as give him him time he has potential and raw ability? Part two to the question, should he have continued to fight in smaller leagues before coming to the UFC for a few years?

That feud pretty much killed DDP dead in the water, except for the motivational gimmick he used started to revive him.

Ultimate Warrior to make a return to the ring
The Buzz replied to The Buzz's topic in General Wrestling
Read that in a few places as well. -
I saw most of the match on youtube, and didn't hear the crowd booing Warrior, match was alright. Warrior looked in good shape, and once he got in the ring looked about the same as always. The run to the ring however was more of a limping skip. Someone on another site mentioned a knee injury during his training. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pp0xV59PrN0

Who is your wrestling hero and have you ever met him?
The Buzz replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
My favorites were always Sting and the Ultimate Warrior, never got a chance to meet either. Although it's probably a good thing I never met Warrior. -
I liked all of his movies, but reading those spoilers just pretty much killed my interest of seeing this movie. Usually spoilers make me want to see a movie to see how it gets to that point. That however makes me want a refund for a movie I haven't even paid to see yet.

I personally think Kimbo could have knocked him out in another 30 seconds, but if it went back to the ground the fight was definitely Thompsons.
-
Just from having watched him in ROH up until now, Joe is just more interesting when he's playing a monster/dominant guy rather than just another guy who can be outsmarted or beat down to build up the next match. I know you can't run that push 12 months out of the year every year, but you can still be dominant without killing everyones credibility.
-
I guess TNA is interested in using the Ultimate Warrior since his return is generating some interest. As a fan of the guy I'd love it, but I can see it hurting the promotion if they halfass it or if he flakes out.

Hell if you count the "Ric Flair and The Four Horsemen" Flair has gotten three, and still no Finkle.

The Kimo he was joking about is a mixed martial arts fighter who was famous from his early UFC fights. -
