Whats Ultimo Dragon Upto Nowadays?
The Buzz replied to Breakdancingbatista's topic in General Wrestling
I know he's done some Indys around Michigan and Canada the last few years, and I thought I heard he worked Mexico again. -
I enjoy Coach as a non-wrestler personality like he's been for most of his run, but didn't enjoy him in the booth.

Ultimate Warrior to make a return to the ring
The Buzz replied to The Buzz's topic in General Wrestling
They gave him some type of acheivement award, and obviously met his high pricetag. That is indeed the Warrior, and I believe that promotion is the biggest European promotion that tours Italy, England, Spain. -
I'd have to throw Raven on the tail end of the list as well. But then again maybe he'd be a perfect contender for 51-100 if you were doing a top 100 stars.

I've been watching Ferguson for about a year now, favorite late night host out of the bunch.
-
Ive loved many build-ups, but my favorite build-up had to be Sting/Hogan for Starrcade 97.

Between Angle, Steiner, Sting, Nash, AJ, and all the other guys there is no reason Joe could reign for a year straight if they wanted him to. To be honest I'm glad Joe got the belt, but I kind of thought the perfect time to put the belt on him was Bound For Glory 2005. I know he was still fresh to TNA, and most would say it was way to early to put the belt on him. But as much as I love Rhino, putting the belt on the hot undefeated Samoa Joe back then couldn't have been any worse.

I've gone back and watched a lot of Foley's run from around Mania 22-Summerslam that year, and have to say I enjoyed it quite a bit. I know some think that he's become a parody of himself since "retiring" at the hands of Triple H. So with that being said I just wanted to know how everyone feels about Foley. Did you like how his "retirement" was handled? How'd you like his run as commissioner? Did you like his short run with Randy Orton in 2004? Did you enjoy his 2006 work? Would you be interested in a more serious Foley if he wanted to come back ever full-time or close to it?

I've been looking for the one Rock promo where he's backstage playing guitar and sings something like "The Rock is better than tom cruise and tom hanks, and then says something about a sports team. Iknow thats pretty vague, but I thought it was a funny promo.

I remember people comparing Cena when he first came out to a young Sting, so it's cool that the comparison has stuck. I remember two matches that were "Dream" matches for me recently, but they'd probably suck if they actually occurred. Samoa Joe vs Vader Vader vs Brock Lesnar Taz vs Samoa Joe Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe is the only pairing that could have a pretty good match. But yeah those guys together would be pretty cool.

The I quit match with Ric Flair is one of my favorite matches from either guys, just thought It'd throw that out there for those Foley fans who haven't seen it yet. Good stuff. The Vengeance match between the two wasn't much of anything though.
-
I think that was like a four way between Sting, Joe, Christian, Steiner. Could be wrong.

I want to see Sting and AJ have a program now that I've thought about it. Sting always imo has decent matches that hold my attention, and when he's pushed I think he can have great matches like the Angle match. I think Sting and AJ could bring out the best in each other.
-
I'd like to see him do what he's done the previous years, work a few good singles matches with a younger guy and have a big main even match at BFG. I'd love to see him put over Joe at the end of his career, but there is no way he needs to tap. I think Sting is still pretty damn good in the ring for a guy that was out for years and only worked one or two matches a year, and has worked a basically part-time schedule since returning.

I will expand my answer to hit the points you mentioned when I get home later from work, but my favorite match in TNA history is Sting vs Angle BFG. 1. What is, in your opinion, the best match that TNA has produced thus far? Sting vs Angle BFG 07. 2. What makes it better than everything else you've seen from TNA? I've seen some great matches in TNA mainly featuring Joe, Styles, and some of the other X-Division crew. However, this match just had something special to it. I think both guys tried to really push each other during it. Sting always does things he doesn't need to such as the dives to the floor, but taking that 450 Knee Drop and being able to continue after being smashed in the face with a bat on accident without flinching kind of added to it. I know both were "botches" or accidents btw. When Sting resigned I had two hopes for the run. That his matches all atleast be decent and that he turn out one more good-great match. This match was it. 3. How does it stack up against other great matches you've seen from different companies? I'd put it in both men's top ten matches in their career, although I'm sure others will disagree. I'd probably put it in my top thirty matches. There is just so many great matches and workers and variance in opinion that it's hard to say how it stacks up to others. I personally find Sting and John Cena to be good workers, and many would disagree with that. 4. Does any grouping of workers (not including those in said match) under TNA contract now make you think that another match of this calibre could be produced anytime soon? I'm looking forward to Sting vs Samoa Joe and Sting vs Christian if either happens. They have the opportunity to reach the same quality for me. But to answer the question correctly, there are so many great talents in TNA that just need some serious nurturing to grow or produce something classic. Even a guy like Tomko has grown since his bland WWE days. With the proper build and opportunities I could see him putting out something memorable. 5. How would you rate this match on the IWC star scale? The PCN 1-10 factor? It wasn't a flawless match or anything, but much like the Flair retirement match recently. This one had an emotional value to me. Sting is my all-time favorite and I was sure he was losing and retiring at the hands of Angle. I got to see him win the belt in Plymouth, MI the year before and thought that'd be his last World Title. So it was cool to be proven wrong. One of the few matches recently I've been emotionally invested into. I'd give it 4 stars or 8/10.

coreystapes.com might have some of his matches buried on a tape or comp somewhere. That's the only thing other than googling I can think of.

I think if they ever get behind AJ Styles again he could become a dream match guy you could pair with several of the WWE guys as well.

Who Are the Legends of the Wrestling Industry?
The Buzz replied to The Truthiness's topic in General Wrestling
The Rock, Undertaker, Sting, Hogan, Austin, nWo, Goldberg, Macho Man, Warrior are the names non casual fans remember when I randomly ask who they like to see wrestle whenever they used to, or still catch it on tv. If I bring up Ric Flair they remember sometimes when I say the old guy who goes whoo and wears the robes. I'd say the legend status goes in categories. I'd consider guys like Taz, Dreamer, Raven, legends but probably two-three notches below a guy like Hogan. While I'd place Sting, Dusty, Hart, Taker, etc. a notch below the Hogans, Austin, Rock. Guys like Goldberg and Ultimate Warrior I don't know where to put because people still talk about them that aren't major wrestling fans, and at a time were as hot as the biggest of names. I'd probably just throw Sammartino and Thez up there on the top level because of how long they drew for. -
I bought the book a few months ago, but haven't had a chance yet to read it. The story from the summaries I've read interests me so I'll probably watch the movie when it's out and then read the book.

I kind of enjoy the way they call the matches too, it's the shilling of stuff outside of the matches like the previous poster said that turns my stomach.
-
I'll second the HHH/JBL match only if it was something like a Last Man Standing, I Quit, etc. because JBL seems to bring his working boots to his gimmick matches/brawls. The Rock vs Sting quickly became a dream match for me a couple years ago when it was mentioned The Rock wanted to do it. I'd love to see Hogan vs Austin in like 97 or 98 when Hogan could still go.
-
I was always more of a NWA/WCW fan so now I just kind of float between dvds of classic wrestling, roh, japan, and WWE/TNA ppvs. I usually miss the tv shows due to work, but tend to be able to catch atleast one wrestling show a week, and keep up via the net.

Isn't the Big Show only a WWE Tag Team, and IC title away from having held all the major belts. WWE, World Heavyweight, ECW, World Tag Team with Kane right?, US Title

If possible which I know it's not for either party, Ultimate Warrior with his current short gray hair, as a mega heel spouting conservatism. I'd like to see Shamrock back as well, I think he should finish his career off with a good year or two in wrestling, rather than what he's doing in MMA right now.
