I thought he had a point to that comment just could never quite place my finger on it...nor would I want to...come to think of it.

According to the article the belt is descended from the WCW World Title aka the NWA World Title...I never knew championship belts procreated.

    Robocop(1987)

So...lets say I wanted to buy the first one, but like to have sequels to movies I liked. I've never seen the sequels...would they be worth buying?

WWE General Discussion - September 2007

I still think if they could ever put together the Hogan/Austin match it'd draw money. I was willing to lay down money for wrestlemania last year until I was clear that the chances of it happening were in the negative percentile.

    Box Office Report...

Resurrecting the Champ looked good judging from the trailer I saw, and I'm curious to know if the "bum" is really the boxer he claims to be in the movie since I guess it was based on a true story.

    Beowulf

While I like Christopher Lambert...whatever anyone does STAY far far away from his version of Beowulf...for the love of god stay away from that. I never even read the story growing up and I knew they fucked up an old story.

TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

I remember my friend kept up hyping TNA during the weekly ppvs...probably about 5 weeks prior to the Raven match I shelled out the cash and started watching them weekly. The feud was a pretty good one even though the roles were reversed as far as who was getting heat and who was getting a pop. The match was also good....then came the finish....where if i'm correct Jarrett was handcuffed and still destroyed like 10 guys and pinned Raven. I might be wrong about the handcuffs, but watching Jarrett clean house with multiple guys and then beat Raven just didn't work for me. Although they didn't have the best stuff going, I think those weekly pay-per-views were better than the stuff they do now for the most part. I knew Sting was signed on for a few appearances so I'd always order incase he was set to show up, I enjoyed Raven's work. The X-division was interesting and I liked that big scary dude Abyss.

I'm pretty sure there are a good portion of Punk haters on the board already. Quite a few have been vocal since he was signed in the first place. I like the guy and started watching him in probably 2004, it's cool to see him continue to improve and rise up the ranks.

    Ric Flair quits WWE

I know most will disagree about Flair being useful in the ring, but I still think he brings the goods. He does have his cringe worthy moments here and there, but most of my favorite matches of 06 were Flair matches. Flair/Big Show, Flair/Edge TLC, and Flair/Foley I quit. He might not be pretty to watch sometimes, but he's still smarter than a majority of guys about when to do what he can do. I don't want him to stay for another few years, but I wouldn't mind him being used in an increased capacity(ie title shots, possible short title run, etc.) until his retirement next year.

I hate to say it, but I actually like Mark Henry the last year or two. If he could stay healthy he could have himself a good run as an attraction style wrestler. He should drop some weight like he'd originally done and keep it off and he'll still look huge.

    Ric Flair quits WWE

With all the names WWE has lost recently ranging from Jericho to Angle to Big Show to RVD. Then take into account the injuries that plague the roster half the time, and the fact that Hogan is on bad terms with the company. You'd think they'd be begging Ric Flair to stay, and possibly calling up Foley to do one tv match a month and a ppy.

    Sid Vicious update

How about Vince brings in the Ultimate Warrior as his illegitimate son, and allows himself to be buried on RAW I'd tune in to see that play out.

    Complete Raw spoilers

I still think its Kennedy as well. They are probably going to do the swerve and have Kennedy and the "real" son fight it out on a pay-per-view.

ECW/Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/4 and 9/7 airings

To be honest a title change on free tv will be seen by more people since the rating for ECW is still 2 times higher than a normal pay-per-views buyrate. Not to mention it's being advertised on WWE.com which might draw in the ROH fan who doesn't watch WWE regularly to tune in and see an ROH alumni get some national success. In the long run this is better in terms of story and character for CM Punk then winning at Unforgiven would be. Now if we were talking about Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, or even Summerslam I might agree on the win waiting until the pay-per-view.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

I haven't seen the new movie, and while I liked the original movie and all. It's not like it was that great either. Plus to the guy talking about continuity...why in the world would what is essentially a new starting point have continuity with something that already started? It's a fresh spin, fresh start, fresh idea.....there was really no reason for the movie to match up with Plot Point A or B from the original movies.

ECW/Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/4 and 9/7 airings

I know...the only part of the story we should be worrying about is what they show on camera. On camera Punk just beat Morrison finally. I'm sure there have been countless title changed based on the former champion being a douche and getting punished for it throughout wrestling history, but that part really doesn't matter.

Best of Title Matches is a two disc set, and I should have that stuff scanned sometime tomorrow for you. As for the others I do not know.

    Sid Vicious update

Sid is money. Just start him on RAW do a hot angle with Cena then maybe move him to work with HHH. Then ship him to Smackdown....then to ECW...then to retirement. You could easily get a year to two years if you worked it properly.

    TNA Impact spoilers

I just saw impact, it's been awhile but what fun show for once. I actually enjoyed the little angle with Team 3D and Steiner tonight. All four men looked good in the four way, and it's nice to see Sting getting involved in the main event scene again after the run with Abyss.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

Judge well I was driving and jiving with my main man T-Pain out on the Strip when I came roaring down the stretch like a hurricane. "Hurricane" Hogan was running wild in Miami and when that tree stood in my way, brother. Well, I took my hands off the wheel to show it just where the power lies, brother. In all seriousness I really hope the passenger ends up being okay. It's bad enough he had to go to that hell in Iraq. It would be horrible if the speed demon Nick Hogan caused him brain damage or death with wreckless driving. I hope Nick takes the brick out of his shoe and learns to drive like a normal human being. Lord knows there are enough idiots who will speed by you just because they wanted to turn on the next street 20 seconds faster.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

I bought the Freddie Blassie, Superstar Graham, and Regal WWE books a week or so back. The Graham and Blassie books were going for a buck so why not. They were all well-written books that kept my attention the whole way through. They aren't on the level of the first Foley book, but pretty good reads.
