If you could only watch one wrestler
The Buzz replied to Australian Pride's topic in General Wrestling
Sting -
Just wanted to say attendance was down due to the Michigan vs Michigan State game, and Tigers game taking place on teh same night. They took down two rows of seats on each side of the ring which I assumed were sold out or close to be sold out prior to the show.
-
I just watched his match with Sabin from Slammiversary and am all for him coming back. If only he'll squash the X-Division some more.
-
I'd rather see Sting and Jarrett actually try a competitive match without all the gay crowd brawling shit they've done every time they've wrestled in TNA. I've seen many Sting matches where he actually wrestled with his opponent. Jarrett is definately capable, so since Sting's last run is wearing down why not give it a go at an old school style match with Jarrett.

Spoiler regarding Kurt Angle's involvement at BFG
The Buzz replied to tpww7's topic in TNA Wrestling
Just a thought...but maybe they are going to somehow add him into the sting vs jarrett match, and get rid of the silly retirement gimmick involved with the match. -
No I have the company of my fellow Samoa Joe, Sting, and Pro-Wrestling fans to make up for the my lack of company from the Jarrett fans. Thanks for the concern though. Besides I could get lonlier..I could be a Virgil fan.
-
He might not, but I will. I'd rather them keep the slow build to Joe getting the belt, and see a legend like Sting possibly get one last run with it before then. I'm a mark for all three guys though, so my opinion is based on that.
-
I'm probably just nitpicking, but I would have saved the Raven vs Joe matchup for a possible defense for Joe once he wins the belt. Raven still hasn't tied up his rematch clause for the title yet has he?
-
Isn't he an agent now with the WWE?

OAO "Holy shit, Kurt Angle is in TNA now" thread...
The Buzz replied to Downhome's topic in TNA Wrestling
It'd be kind of stupid to bury Monty Brown considering you(TNA) list him as one of your fresh stars in the press release about the primetime slot. -
Now why can't all smart marks settle arguments so easily.
-
Well they botched the fast count with ...a slow count...I WONDERRRRR how that one happened. Anyways speaking of sting.... Sting vs Bret Hart was disappointing for me being a fan of both for years.
-
He seems to be doing pretty well to me away from wrestling. A book, a movie, performing improv. comedy, a moderately successful band, and a former World Champion wrestler. Granted he's not plastered everywhere, but I'm sure he's happy with what he's accomplished in a year.
-
I enjoyed Bradshaw in his APA days for his rugged style, and was happy to hear when he got the push. I was a little upset over Eddy losing the belt but things happen. Bradshaw is a very solid worker regardless of what some may think.
-
To answer the original post, I'm going to see it live and finally see Sting wrestle live and for the world title no less. Joe is fine where he is...everyone is firmly behind him and know he will get that belt. When he does the place where he does it will probably explode. The card looks pretty decent from what I can tell. I'd liket to see that monster's ball you mentioned happen.
-
come to think of my previous post. What a trainwreck of a match that woulda been. Scott Norton vs New Jack vs Haku vs Al Snow.
-
I'd lock him in a room with Haku, Scott Norton, and maybe Al Snow. The last name isn't a joke, Al knows some sort of self defense from what I've read. Knowing my luck, New Jack would leave the room with 3 more justifiable homicides to his credit.
-
I don't know why but I always considered Perfect a main eventer just because of his skill and character. So him being in the final four was more surprising because of how the WWE let him throw down. Usually the surprise entrants are nothing more then comedy or a cheap draw tactic.
-
In all honesty he could have went out hit two punches a fall away slam and 5 or six outsiders edges and called it a night. Atleast he took the effort to fool the people into thinking he was trying to help the rookie out.
-
Why hasn't someone slapped this dickhead around yet. I know there are plenty of wrestlers capable.
-
I'll agree with that, I'm actually a pretty big Goldberg mark dispite disliking him originally. He was never really as sloppy as the Warrior could be.
-
If you want a proper comparison for Goldberg, look no further than the Ultimate Warrior. Both had intensity, both had some sort of charisma, and had little nuances that made their characters fun to watch even if they weren't spectaculars workers or talkers.

I remember a few years ago hearing that Hogan is worth 20 million or something.
-
I remember reading and hearing it time and time again that Sting is one of the richest men in wrestling. He always had a hefty contract and saved a lot of it.
