Best match you saw in person

I've only been to 7 live events total since starting watching wrestling in 89. Three WCW House Shows, and Four ROH shows in the last two years. I remember a good Rey Jr vs Psychosis match from one of the house shows, and while I'm not going to say it's the greatest wrestling to ever happen, I can say each time I go to an ROH show I come out with atleast 3 matches that I wanna say I was honored to see live. Oh yeah, DDP vs Macho Man was a damn good match I saw at a house show back when Macho Man had that last excellent year in WCW i believe in 97.

Ring of Honor 6.23 and 6.24 results.

Just got back from the show, awesome stuff. Bj Whitmer is slowly growing into my favorite ROH wrestler, and I don't know what else to say about the show. It ranks as my favorite detroit show, but ranks behind 4/1 in chicago as my favorite live show.

Luger Shoots on WWE and ECW

The funny thing is he's not that horrible of a worker. If you compared him to all the wrestlers to ever work he's in the lower end of the upper 50 percentile. I've seen many indy guys and many pro guys in both TNA and WWE today that suck the life out of the crowd. Atleast I can say I've seen Luger matches with a hot crowd. To be honest I don't even like Luger, he bores me personally. I'm with hasbeen on the not talking shit about these guys that deserve respect, but it's not even just a smark thing. Turn on the tv or the radio, or even listen to yourself at work. Everyone talks shit at one time or another about people they don't know. Some of it's warranted and some of it like the Luger stuff is pure fluff that shouldn't be said. Even the nicest guys or girls have their moments.

Luger Shoots on WWE and ECW

It's not like Luger held her mouth open and shoved the pills and booze down her throat.

    Most annoying ROH crowd ever?

I see where you're coming from on the moving, but unless you are a fat 300 plus pound person or elderly. You should be able to move pretty fast out of your seat, but I suppose I'd probably stand up if I ever got the front rows too.

    New Metallica Song

I think its solid. I'm not a music expert, tried to learn guitar just not cut out for it. I really can't stand toe to toe with anyone in the thread about what makes a good solo other than...if it sounds good to my ear then I like it. With that being said I own every metallica album and along with Black Label Society they are my favorite band of the metal genre. I will also say I've never bought an album in my life that was perfect from start to finish even the so called classics of bands. Can't wait to hear the new Metallica album, as long as they have fun making it and I enjoy it.

    Most annoying ROH crowd ever?

Ok even thought I did defend the promotion and it's crowd a few days back I have thought of one annoying feature of an ROH crowd. Standing up everytime wrestlers come outside the ring. If you are in the front row..you can see just fine unless your an honest to god midget. So why do you feel the need to stand up? Even when I'm in the third row this ruins my view whether I'm standing or not so much that I end up standing in the corner in between the rows to get a clear view of the rest of the show. But I atleast make sure no one is behind me that won't be able to see. My only other complaint about ROH is the difficulty of finding the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge.

    Refute this statement

At the moment it is bold and out there. But I wouldn't be surprised to see that statement come true in the next five to ten years. I think Shelley if he listens to the veterans like Raven and the like and learns how to work a crowd to perfection, then he can be a big player.

PS2 God of War 2: Divine Retribution confirmed

On a further note, I've never played a Prince of Persia game. Is the newest one I've seen advertised worth picking up for a rent if I've never played?

PS2 God of War 2: Divine Retribution confirmed

I like God of War for the same reason I liked Mario as a kid. If you like what you see in the first five minutes of playing it, you get more of the same but with different surroundings and characters. It's just an addicting game that I beat in two days. I rarely play games anymore, so maybe I'm behind on whats good and whats not.

    Most annoying ROH crowd ever?

I can also understand where WP is coming from on the play wrestling thing. It's one of the reasons I'm hesitant to train at ROH's school as opposed to Dory Funk or Lance Storm's school. It's just..Philly is a helluva lot closer then Canada or Florida where I live.(Detroit)

    Most annoying ROH crowd ever?

I hate to ever be in the state of mind where people having a good time and giving a wrestling show heat is considered a bad thing. Further more, in ROH when its great it truly is great, and when it's bad it's still better then bad in the big leagues. So take that how you will.

Clerks 2 - The release date is almost here...

I thought I read Smith say that's the point of the movie. How some of his friends have changed a lot since their 20s while a lot have stayed very much the same.

    Booker T's New T-Shirt

Hmm..I don't own any wrestling shirts, but a shirt is a shirt. Who give a fuck if someone likes you wearing it or not. Why be ashamed of being a wrestling fan if you enjoy it? I just don't get it.

    La Parka Question

L.A. Park is the original and appeared in TNA a few times. I haven't seen La Parka 2, but I hope he's better than Great Muta USA that NJPW tried to get going a few years back.

TNA iMPACT! Taping Spoilers, Taped 29/05/06

No one will ever be booked as the stupid babyface worse than Sting back in the late 80s, early 90s. The man was dumb as a rock.

    WON News and Notes 5/29

Just a "if you were in his shoes" type of question since Val Venis was brought up a second ago. If you were Val Venis, had a run in Mexico as World Champion(going by Steele), had a few mid- card title reigns, and several pushes. You got over but never "main event level over" due to the constant push, depush you were receiving. Would you be happy with your current spot of being a jobber due to a possible decent paycheck, or frustrated with where you career ended up?
  18. Good list, I was let down when WWE didn't include the Lesnar match on Benoit's dvd.

    Official Judgement Day Thread

Taker loses clean more often than people seem to think. Didn't he do like a dozen clean jobs to Ultimate Warrior on house shows, and I believe Hogan beat him clean as well in the rematch in the early 90s at Survivor Series?

I loved all three movies, hope the series is half as good. If it is should be worth watching every week.

Why Do People Think We're Not Cool

I was going to write a long post about Americans being snobs, and a good portion of America also being the stereotypical wrestling fan(fat, nerd, redneck). But to be honest who gives a damn what everyone thinks. Wrestling is still a big business regardless of the current drought. Many fine athletes have come and gone and given the fans memories. For every fan with the memory of a goldfish there are fans who will remember all of classic matches from the 80s and 90s. I'm trying to break into the business later this year, and I was wondering myself whether or not wrestling would break into the mainstream big time like football one day. The answer I came to is that as long as I enjoy watching it, discussing it, and eventually doing it then it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. Just my two cents on the matter. -Buzz

How many matches do you consider 5 stars

While I understand selling, psychology, etc I don't overanalyze matches like most folk around TSM do. A five star match to me has to accomplish what any good match should. Entertain me and get the crowd in the building going. If it did those two things and did them excellently, then *****
