El Gigante vs Reese-The Battle of The Technical Geniuses
-
I like Kazarian going by Kazarian. But I didn't see a problem with Skipper's name. The whole Pat Kenney angle, name change, etc. has me shaking my head.(Gilberti has fallen quite a bit since the SEX angle) I'm interested in the Sabu/Raven feud, but I'm really sick of the hold up on the inevitable Raven world title reign.

Was it just me or did anybody else notice the insane amount of botched spots last night? It wasn't a bad show, but I cringed a few times last night at some of the fuck ups.
-
For all the O'Haire lovers. He's over six feet tall so of course everyone on the forums will hate him . I wouldn't be surprised to see him show up in TNA down the line. He'd be decent in their mid-card.

Chad Collyer uses the cloverleaf. I got one... Tornado punch

Suprising moves that a wrestler has used.

Sting-German Suplex Nash- a pescado onto the big show during the match where he botched the powerbomb. -
TNA officially adopts 6-sided ring full time

Should be interesting to see some of the heavyweights work in it other than Abyss and AMW. -
One of the few wrestlers with any backbone to stand behind his beliefs. Even if he sounds like he got a little friendly with some of the powder chowder. Yeah i know that was corny..

. I'll buy it because there is no reason why this shouldn't be the best wrestling game to have come out thus far. They've spent so much time on this game, that I just would hate to see them disappoint. 2. The Era Based Season Mode 3. Sting-My all time favorie. Ultimate Warrior as well. 4. Great Muta, Raven, The Outsiders, Ric Flair

Sting would probably improve whatever brand he was on. Considering A.) He's a legend B.) He can still go c.) He's charismatic. The only downsides are A.) He wants a limited schedule B.) He can't go as good as he could D.) Can WWE book him properly? I say Smackdown to start with, Raw to end.

Wasn't Andre in this game? I remember seeing him in one of the WWF arcade games so correct me if im wrong.

I don't know if the post said they had to be on the current roster but here we go. Tazz vs Eddie Guerrero Sting vs HBK Val Venis vs Chris Benoit The Rock vs Sting The Rock vs HBK HHH vs Sting HHH vs Brock Lesnar Chono vs HHH Vader vs Lesnar Those are some matches I'd like to see.

I would like everyone's opinions on Sting's best matches that I should include on it. I wouldn't mind the event and date if you can remember it. If this belongs in the tape trading forum please move, and I apologize for posting in the wrong forum. However, back to the topic. Thus far the matches I plan on including are. Cactus Jack vs Sting-Street Fight (Beach Blast 93?) Sting vs Ric Flair- The first Clash of the Champions Vader vs Sting- Superbrawl 3 Sting vs Jeff Jarrett- Last Tna Show of 2003 Sting vs The Giant- (Great American Bash 98?) So what do you think belongs on a list of Sting's best matches?

My point was quite a bit off. So you're right on that one Mike. I still believe Sting has it in him, but that's simply because I've been a mark of him since the late 80s. I hope he does sign or what not. It'd be fun to see what happens. It's not going to devestate the company if he does suck. Just his reputation.

You know watch Raw and Smackdown for the past 3 years and count up the number of matches that go above 3 stars. Then realize Sting is about on par with most of the superstars in the WWE. I doubt you find more than 25 matches that fit the criteria I just set, and I bet all of those include either HBK, Lesnar, Angle, or Guerrero. I hightly doubt he would sign with WWE as he doesn't need to, but if he did it obviously isn't gonna hurt the wwe.
-
I think right now it couldn't hurt them. It probably won't help that much either and no one is drawing really right now. Not drawing anything big anyways. He's got that x factor about him that a lot of guys don't have. When Sting is on the screen you turn your head and pay attention.
-
Eidos? Squaresoft? I don't know those are the only big companies that I've thought of that haven't made a wrestling game that could make a decent one.
-
I'll just sum it up and say that WWE would become a lot more watchable for me if the Stinger was back. He's had his share of great matches, his share of stinkers. He's got an undeniable Charisma. His mic skills are decent at best. And if motivated(being signed by the WWE should do that) I think he has a few 3 to 3 3/4 star matches left in the tank. Especially considering the number of breaks he took in the last few years of WCW. Judging his work in TNA he doesn't have any ring rust. If they do bring him in I hope they do not waste it. It needs to be properly thought out. Maybe to much to ask?
-
Can someone name me a bad Sting match. Because I sure as hell never cringed at one of his matches other than Starrcade 97 due to the horrible booking. If my memory serves correct he has plenty of ** 1/2- *** 1/2 star matches from 98-04.

1999 & 2000 WCW PPVs watched by newbies...
The Buzz replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
Looking back on the WCW pay-per-views it's easier to see the confusion that filled WCW than it was when i was younger. Even the wrestlers sometimes seemed lazy and not knowing what was supposed to go down that night. Mainly 1998-late 99 -

Mayhem was a good pay-per-view from what memory reminds me. The only match I remember from Spring Stampede is the one you labled as a good match. Sting vs Booker T. -
Thanx for the replies thus far...if anyone else has anything I'd appreciate it. Would any of the WWA matches be worth hunting down? Does anyone remember what the best Sting vs Great Muta match was so I can add that to the tape.

WCW employed two guys and used them as two teams. Disorderly Conduct/Texas Hangmen -
He has a good look, talent, charisma. But he's saddled with a bad gimmick. This reminds me of current WWE worker Val Venis. A guy who has all the tools to be a World Champion, but was shot out of the gate.
