    Victoria Retires

I guess she runs a Pizza shop as well. She will definitely be missed, but they've all but put her out to pasture as it is anyway.

Jay Leno to remain with NBC

In a perfect world for me, Conan and Ferguson would be the only two talk shows on late night. Oprah would leave tv forever, Ellen would go bye bye and they'd bring back Tony Danza.

    Impact spoilers for 12/18

I didn't think they'd pull Sting out of the Mafia this quick, but I guess 2009 is rapidly approaching and it's time to begin his send off. I just skimmed through both sets of spoilers, is it Rhino vs Sting at genesis for the gold?

    Worst Series of All Time

Sting/Vampiro-I've heard both guys blame the other for why it didn't go down well. Blame the timing of the angle, or the specifics. I've even heard Sting claim in an interview that he didn't even remember it. Say what you will but this is something that helped turn me off from WCW for quite awhile. The whole shooting that the business is fake on tv by the announcers and Russo didn't help matters either. These guys just did not click as rivals, but were decent as a team.

    Impact Spoilers for December 11th

I read on gerweck that Sting teased throwing down the belt in disgust when the mafia was doing the beatdown, guess we'll have to wait and see how accurate that was. An earlier post mentioned the Lance Storm story on Sting, about how he's willing to do things to put over the younger guys like that crazy O'Haire and Jindrak beel. That was an excellent article that I wish would have spread around the net a bit more. I'm glad to see Hernandez and Homicide finally getting some more singles time. Both are pretty damn good in singles action.

    The OAO WWE DVD Thread

I could see a few matches being clipped, just because there is 30 plus match on a three disc dvd. I don't think they've released something with more than 25 matches without it being clipped. I hope it isn't though, as this is one hell of a compilation.

    Joey Styles JKO's JBL overseas

Had Jericho not locked on his front face lock of doom, I'm pretty sure old Goldberg might have done some serious damage with his martial arts training. Then again, supposedly Goldberg started the fight by choking him like a pimp would choke his bitches so maybe he's not that well trained after all. I also take back what I said months ago about JBL being someone who I thought might actually be a legit tough guy.

    Weekend Box Office Report

I think Punisher will pick up next week, or overseas. The last one did horribly domestically and made a killing in dvd sales and rentals.

    CTDWAT: TNA Edition

TNA is selling some exclusive autographed framed pieces on their website. Anywhere from 20-100 exist of different piece. Sting, Angle, MEM, Frontline, Jarrett, Beer Money, LAX, Foley, etc. I'd buy some of them but they are out of my price range right now.

Greatest Wrestler to never win a World Singles title

Isn't the IWGP considered a world title? Scott Norton held that. My pics would be Piper, Hall, Roberts.

    Final Resolution 2008 thread

I didn't take that wo review serious any longer once I got to the part about the incline press. Anyone who's spending more time watching how many reps someones getting on their lifts rather than working out in the gym is wasting their time and money by having a gym membership. It's not like the gym is the Kevin Nash safari. Oh look on the right, the once deadly Kevin Nash is pounding out six reps on the incline bench press. Decent show, good to see Snow working again. Glad Sting didn't lose his title in a stupid six man. The last thing I'd want to see is him lose it like that after his two criminally short reigns the past two years.

TNA on the brink of mass talent exit

His current and last angle angle with Judas Mesias make that silly angle with Sting look good.

    The Dark Knight

I will concede that Maggie was probably the least strongest in the movie. It's not even that I think Bale did a bad job or phoned it in. I just think he was outclassed by the higher caliber of actors he was working with. He's definitely the best batman in my opinion. I guess it could be worse(even though I'm a huge fan of David Duchovny's work) they could have picked David Duchovny as Batman. He's a name that's been tossed around to play the character since before Batman and Robin and then again when Batman Begins was being cast according to a few movie sites.

    Impact *SPOILERS* for 12/4

Roode is one of those guys right now who reminds me of Steve Austin in WCW, he's had a few decent feuds so far and is a good mechanic in the ring. He's got a little spark to him, but he's missing something at the moment to really put him over the edge. I'm not saying he's the next Steve Austin so hopefully no one thinks that is what I'm implying. I'm just saying he's got the potential to do bigger things. I personally liked his run in Team Canada and his rivalry vs Booker T the best out of his stuff. Team Canada had some more legs to it when they pulled the plug. James Storm on the other hand, is a guy who's been shining since he split from Chris Harris. He seems to have found his niche, now it's time to see where he takes it. I think Chris Harris had a spark to him back in 2003, 2004 when he got that short singles run. Look where he is now though.

    The Dark Knight

I'm on the Eckhart was just as good as Ledger fence as well. He did a hell of a job in all of his scenes, if anything I'd say Bale was the underperformer in the movie. Even Michael Caine brought something to the table with his limited role.

TNA on the brink of mass talent exit

I thought Angle had three years left on his contract(Something from either his shoot or new TNA dvd, and Sting had agreed to work through mid-late 2009?

WWE General Discussion - December 2008

So much for Triple H being Hogan's favorite new wrestler to watch.

    CTDWAT: Indies/Overseas/General

Apparently, Gerweck is saying Hogan is reffing for free as a favor to Ric Flair. Which is odd considering how Flair has mentioned in his book and various interviews his dislike for Hogan. Looks like that was all WWE based bullshit.

    Let's Talk About: Rikishi

Then he hit Austin with a car, and that all went to shit.

What did/do your parents think of wrestling?

One of these things is not like the other... which one of these things just isn't the same? Lol, I was wondering how long it'd take someone to notice PN News. Hey I was a little kid, I blame it on youth. I think he wrestles primarily in Germany now, last I checked.

What would you do with 100 Grand?

Itd be funny to buy Mortal Kombat and TNA from them just if only to do the inevitable Mortal Kombat vs TNA game. Not to mention we could do it ala WCW vs the World, Revenge, etc and have complete ripoff of Japanese and mexican wrestlers.

    Weekend Boxoffice Report Nov 28-30

I'd only catch it even then if you have some form of alcohol, and literally nothing else to do. Sitting through that for my girlfriend was worse than having to watch Degrassi or Days of Our Lives with her. I was daydreaming of James Woods to reprise his character from John Carpenters Vampires the whole movie.
  23. I think Scott Hall does some of his best work when he puts over undercard guys or jobbers ala Jericho, Waltman, Garza, etc. They need more guys like him today that are true stars that could be a main event champion when needed, but are willing to and do a great job at putting over talent.

What did/do your parents think of wrestling?

I guess my grandfather on my dad's side used to watch it late at night back when The Shiek, Gorgeous George, and Dick The Bruiser were around, and my dad would sneak out into the hallway and watch it instead of sleeping sometime. My mom and her brother liked it a little during the Hogan era, but my dad wouldn't watch it. Finally when I was a kid I loved watching WCW for Sting, Flair, Vader, Simmons, Pn News, Sid, Steiners, etc. I liked WWF too for Bret Hart, Hogan, and my dad's favorite the Ultimate Warrior, which is one of the reasons I have a soft spot for him to this day. He watched shows with me all the way up until around late 98 and 99 when I would watch it alone. He'd even watch for me if I needed to get to sleep before it was off. Nowadays I watch whats on tv in cycles. I'll watch TNA and all three brands of WWE for a few months than watch it sporadically, and catch up on dvds. Sometimes he watches and sometimes he doesn't. He's never really outright loved it, but I think he enjoys it enough where if he has to watch it with me he will. Currently the guys he'll pay the most attention to are the big guys like Sting, Nash, Cena, Batista, CM Punk, HBK, etc. He thinks Santino is funny as well. My mom never really has an opinion on it.

    Weekend Boxoffice Report Nov 28-30

I don't think I've seen a Statham movie other than the Dungeon Siege movie that I haven't liked. Bank Job, Revolver, and Chaos in particular were pretty good. A little disappointing that Transporter 3 didn't do better it's first week out, makes me wonder how Punisher: War Zone will do since its an action flick coming out during the holidays. If I remember right, the Thomas Jane version didn't make good money until it hit video.
