I'd love that...I have barely seen anything from Carlito since Smackdown is on at 10 am here that's too early so I watch Raw at 12 am but he'd be the first real Iberoamerican champion(only people in U.S.A say latino or hispanic) since Pedro Morales(Eddie is chicano that doesn't really count)and he's Puerto Rican! even better.

He may not be causing problems, but he's still not putting people over (prime example being Jericho at 'Mania). Even though he's not doing drugs and causing all kinds of backstage nonsense, he's still putting himself over all the younger talent that need it (barring where this thing with Hassan is going). That was especially shitty of him not wanting to put Davey Boy over in his home country in a match that was dedicated to his dying sister. Back in 2000 and 2001 I was just a mark and I really enjoyed Lance Storm in WCW he was one of my favorites and I was hoping for him to become a World Champion sometime. I don't know about U.S.A but when he was in WCW he was one of the most over wrestlers down here and we're mostly a mark crowd so I think if they gave him the chance he could have gotten over with the marks in the states.

I would LOVE to see Rey as World Champion. The way I'd do it would be getting some high profile wins and then getting some confidence and go up to the champ but get shot down for a few months until a 4 way match gets set up (preferably JBL Cena and Eddie)Have the storyline be that the JBL is confident that he just has to get the other 2 guys out and pin Rey while rey just wants to prove that he can win the HUGE one. Somewhere along the fight Cena and Eddie get knocked out and JBL(he is the champ in my fantasy) and he starts laughing and pointing at rey then does the Lariat pins him but gets off and tauns him some more and decides to power bomb have Eddie be running to the ring as to make it look the match will keep going but Rey reverses the powerbomb into a pin out of nowhere and takes the surprise win!

It's most popular in the spanish caribbean islands like Cuba, Dominican Republic and some south american ones like Venezuela and Colombia. Like X said it's not really that popular in Mexico since our cultures are really different. ...and it sucks. I'm from Venezuela and i can't stand it, it seems to be dying down around here, but damn for the last year or so it was the ooooonly thing that was played in the radio and everyone liked it and i never understood why. It really sucks....imo of course I used to hate it too man mostly because of the radio....I live in Dominican Republic right next to P.R and it was the only fucking thing on the radio which got me annoyed and started to hate it with a passion but then I started to listen to it on my own and realized this is the best genre of spanish music. just curious, what other genres are you taking into consideration as spanish music? Salsa , Merengue Bachata(and I'm Dominican) Cumbia, anything mexican..don't know much spanish rock ...baladas are good once in a while though but Reggaeton is the best right now.
