I really like how it has a story. Even though the concept of everyone being the hero in their own game is weird and kinda funny. I will be a hume red mage.

If it is still cinematic, dramatic and emotional then I won't mind. I have faith it will be. I just really like the angst and romance.

I don't understand why the OVW vanilla guys and hosses are allowed to "get into their groove" on the TV shows. So what is OVW for anyway? Do they teach you how to do a suplex and superkick then just send you to RAW to get good there? It shouldn't work like that. You should get good at OVW and get your groove or whatever and THEN get on TV.

Yeah, same here. I love the idea of MMORPGs but when I played Everquest I grew bored quickly. It didn't feel like I was role playing. All I did was level up while people ran around really fast shouting internet slang. I am going to give XI a chance though because it's FF and I have read it actually has a story.

Just Neo and PS2 so far. I would not count on a Xbox or GC port. BTW, it is SNK vs. Capcom. The ones made by Capcom were Capcom vs. SNK, and the ones made by SNK are SNK vs. Capcom.

If anyone is honestly bothered that they now know vague details about what happens in the game and that ruins the experience then I'm really sorry I ruined the second best game ever(IMO!!!!!) for you. I have a feeling people are just complaining for the sake of complaining though. Nobody's said a thing about all the other massive spoilers in this thread, like a certain major death in a RPG involving a flower girl.

The FFX ending is emotional. The part where Yuna and Tidus try to hug but she goes through him is incredibly sad. Being upset over that doesn't make you a wuss. So...online gaming and broadband support drives console sales....yet generally gamers prefer to play online and not online? Ok.. I don't rent. I still play PSX and GBA. I like DVD playback. I get gaming info online, not word of mouth. So am I "typical"?

FF VIII's ending, even after seeing it over and over, makes me get all emotional. Squall getting stuck in time and freaking out that he is alone again, Seifer and his posse happy again, Laguna visiting Raine's grave, and then the big finish with Squall & Rinoa. Great moments. I love the music too. On FF VI in FF Anthology there is a CG movie you unlock when you beat the game that has the opera house music playing while it shows various scenes from the game(like the Edgar/Sabin coin toss, Shadow in the train, Setzer fighting on the Airship). For some reason it really gets to me. That song along with those classic scenes makes me think of how epic the story is and how we'll probably never see those characters again.

Sega is remaking SOR 1 now. It's going to be part of their Sega Ages 3D line of PS2 games. The other Sega Ages 3D games are really, really shitty so SOR remake is probably going to be a bad thing.
