I know how you feel. Suzuki always seemed to do well for Phoenix, but it never seemed to translate into wins for the team, which was frustrating. At least this year they will finish a respectable 2nd place. Also, it is nice to see the Seattle Frasiers doing well now, I have always, strangely, enjoyed that team name, for whatever reason.

Detroit Lions - Marty Mortinwheg(sp?) It seemed like each week this guy would find new and creative ways to make me feel embarrassed to be a Lions fan. Terrible, terrible coach. Tampa Bay Lightning - I'll go with Steve "Leisure Vest" Ludzik here.

I have no problem with Mideon coming back. He was somewhat entertaining. It's not like he'll be a main eventer. He's basically just a depth guy. He'll serve a specific role somewhere in the midcard, and that will be the end of it. I'd much rather have Pushed Wrestler Y squash a Mideon instead of wasting some young guy who might have a tad bit of potential doing something bigger and better than being a job guy.

Terrible, terrible flag. The colours on it seem reminiscent of a country from Africa or the Caribbean, and the half moon reminds me of Turkey's flag. The old one isn't the greatest, but at least it's something I can identify with Iraq.

I fail to see what's so "hardcore" about this topic. Isn't this the usual "Who would you fire?" crap that permeates the WWE folder ever so often? Wouldn't this be better served in like the Wrestling Polls folder or something?

I was happy when I read who my fav team(the Lions) ended up getting in the draft. All I wanted was for them to get Kevin Jones. I felt the 6th pick was a bit high for the guy, but I just felt he was the guy I wanted to see be the running back for the Lions. It was their biggest need, and I thought he was the guy who'd best be able to fill it. It felt great to wake up and discover that they got Jones AND Roy Williams in the first round. To top it all off, all they lost in the whole deal was basically a 4th round pick this year and a 5th next year. That's just awesome.

What is it with this Purdue love all of a sudden? That's 3 Boilermakers taken in the past 4 picks, and the 5th straight Big Ten pick.

Well, it's now 4-0 Lightning. This is getting brutal! I am sure those silly Canadians fans who predicted a Montreal sweep are crying about now. Go Lightning!

I think Clarett is just stupid. The way the guy comes off is like he somehow believes he'll be the number one pick in the draft just on the basis of him being Maurice Clarett. From him showing up to combine out of shape to the fact that he is fighting the NFL tooth and nail for the right to be a third round pick, I seriously wonder what the fuck this guy is thinking. At least it is somewhat entertaining to see him fail.

Wow. I was skeptical when Calgary advanced that they would be too exhausted to hold up against Detroit. As someone who despises the Red Wings with a passion, I hope the Flames keep this up.

Actually, a different article on this list said that both songs were excluded from the list for being songs that are "cheesy by design." Via USA Today: I find that odd, considering that Barbie Girl seems to be, by design, a rather cheesy song.

I always wondered if someone would end up accidentally putting something that belongs in like the WWE folder in some completely unrelated folder like sports or video games. Now, that's it has actually happened... As for Velocity, it looks horrible this week. Nunzio/Dragon looks like an interesting pairing, while the rest looks either boring (Basham/D-Von, Jordan/Stamboli) or squashtacular(Holly/Akio.) It looks like I won't regret missing it.

Whatever happened to Sexay anyway? It seemed like he just he vanished all of a sudden a few years back. And Tajiri vs. Al Snow? Awesome! That was one of the few dream matches that I really wanted to see for awhile now.

I pretty much agree with Naibus here. I find the WWE folder to be fine, other than the fact that the topics do get rather repetitive and the dogpiling on wrestlers that aren't well-liked does become old rather quickly. Other than that, I can't really think of anything else that would really make it any worse than any of the other folders here. I do think promoting of discussion would certainly help the folder a lot. It seems like at times there are topics where good discussion could be had, but it is usually part of some grander "news" topic, so it ends up breaking into several different topics. For instance, the possibility of WCW or ECW return seems to be a fairly hot topic right now. Perhaps, have a mod or someone start a discussion on it, even going as far as to pin the discussion so it doesn't get lost in a mess of other topics. Maybe, it can even be made into a "Topic of the Day" type thing. Someone can post up a topic to start discussion about a fairly hot topic in the WWE or even something more general like the future of wrestling or the status of women in wrestling or something. I certainly think that would add some structure to the folder and could possibly improve the discussion that is going on in the folder.

I would have to say that the Orlando Magic of recent years certainly counts. They signed Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady to make the team great, and it blew up in their face. After a few seasons where they did mediocre in the playoffs, the team is horrible this year. Meanwhile, one of the guys they lost(Ben Wallace) has led the Pistons to be one of the best teams in the East. It is kind of funny how that worked out in the end.
