I'd rather have Coach and Snow myself. At least they have the potential to get better at commentating. Lawler and JR have grown stale and are likely not going to make a vast improvement any time in the future.
-
Oh yeah. In my other league where I used McNabb as my starter this week, he brought me a sterling -24. Thankfully, I have Drew Bledsoe as my backup.

This sounds about as stupid as a documentary I saw a few years ago where Asians had eye surgery to look more "American." Heck, I am a native English speaker who can't pronounce r's worth a crap either, and I manage to get along just fine.

Week 2 Pick Results for Braves/kkk contests
Der Kommissar replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
Not shocked that I lost this week. It seemed like I had every game wrong this week. Better luck next week I guess. -
I was checking out Yahoo, and I found this fun little mention about the ND-Michigan game: "Many fans in the NCAA-record crowd of 111,726 started chanting, ``Houston's better! Houston's better!'' in the fourth quarter. " That's just mean...yet so hilarious.

Nice to see that Notre Dame is picking up where they left off last week and are sucking major ass against Michigan. I hope Michigan puts this one out of reach early.

In the regular season, Philly is better. Though, considering the likelihood of Philly choking in the playoffs, I'd rather a team like Tampa have the higher seed. At least there is a chance they might show up in the playoffs.

1) Tajiri 2) The Former Team Angle 3) The Molly-Gail Kim team - Sadly, one of the few reasons I watch Raw anymore. Honourable mentions to Nowinski, who I hope comes back in some sort of role eventually, and Rosey.
-
Well, I'm in. I am not sure how much I know about hockey, but I'll play fantasy anything.
-
I would probably be watching Nitro. I liked it a lot better than Raw in its waning days. Besides, wasn't RVD close to going to WCW before it closed?

I use my own technique for typing. It's decent enough for the typing I do. I never could really pick up the proper technique when I had to take class in high school about it, though I was the fastest typer in my class. Plus, I can pretty much out where the keys are without looking at them. Oddly, I seem to type more accurately without looking at keys than I do when I am looking at the keys.

She was an indy women's wrestler, brought in to give Mona something to do, basically. Her and Brandi Alexander seemed to have a few feuds on Saturday Night with Mona. She also wrestles as "Sweet Destiny" in the indies. And, oh yeah, I had to be one of the few people who marked out for MI Smooth. *sigh* I miss WCW.

Wow. When Downhome thinks a show sucks, you know it's bad. I can't say I would disagree, though I have taken a strange liking to the Gail Kim/Molly tag team. Plus, I liked the whole Coach/Bischoff/Snow segment. Otherwise, I can't think of anything that was even remotely worth my time.

A mixed week for me so far. It looks like I will defeat the Crimson Storm. Also, it looks like my gamble in taking Aveon Cason might pay off. He had 77 yards and a TD, so he might provide me with the second starting running back that I needed. On the other hand, it looks like I will lose Donald Driver for awhile, which totally sucks ass. Ah well. At least my team looked rather impressive in the first week.
-
Well, they aren't doing THAT impressive. The way the Notre Dame offense seems to be playing, this game is a lot closer than it has any right to be.
-
Geez. There are showing a Michigan State-Rutgers game on here. What the hell?!? Was there NOTHING else they could show?
-
Damn. Whatever happened to Houston? They were actually a good team during the Andre Ware/David Klingler days. Now, they are just cannon fodder.
-
I think I am all set to go as well. It's not like I have any overly impressive backups who are starter worthy as it is, at least not in Week 1.

Well, I am assuming you are talking about me. Anyway, Baby VOX and Boa are easily two of the better Korean acts, IMO, and, because of their rather unique names, the easiest to find. Other groups relatively easy to find from I have seen: SES - insanely popular group in Korea who gained a following in Japan. Their earlier songs are incredibly poppish, some to the point of being downright goofy, while their later stuff seemed closer to R & B. Recently broke up into singles artists(Sea, Eugene, and Shoo, respectively.) Park Ji Yoon - Korean R & B singer. I generally enjoy her more mid tempo stuff, but seems to have a love for ballads which I don't share. Interestingly, she did a song called Nastified with American one hit wonder Willa Ford. Lee Jung Hyun - A Korean techno singer who is said to be completely nuts because of her rather odd videos. Still, I find her to be rather enjoyable. As One - from what I can remember, they were easy to find, and are fairly popular, but other than a version of the song "Ring My Bell," I have never liked anything they have ever did. Fin KL or Hyori - Korean pop group that was fashionable for a bit. Recently broke up, but are usually easy to find. Their lead singer singer, Hyori, recently released a solo album. S#arp Other bands who I have found stuff from but not very much: Chakra - They are a Korean band who are obsessed with Indian music. Their songs Gheut(end), Han, and Ahn Ni yah are at least somewhat findable. Diva or µð¹Ù - Korean dance/R & B type group. Their name is way common, so it's hard to find. Papaya - another dance type group. They did a song called "Hero" for the Korean version of Dance Dance Revolution, which basically is why they can be somewhat easy to find on mp3. SM Town - It's a record company that comes out with Winter and summer albums each year, seemingly as way to introduce people to their minor artists. Basically, all their artists get together on a few songs on the album and make asses out of themselves. They are somewhat entertaining though in a trainwreck sort of way, and Boa usually is featured in a prominent role in the songs. Other bands and singers who I don't know much about but who I have mp3s for: Koyote, GOD, HOT, SZ, DJ Doc, Chae Jung Ahn, Baek Ji Young, Shinvi, TT Ma, Lena Park, Jang Nara, Cleo, Do as Infinity, Cleo(Ŭ·¹¿À), and Shinhwa Hope that helps some. Fin KL, SES, Baby Vox, and Boa seem to be the easiest to find from what I have seen. Though, Boa and Baby Vox are probably the two most consistent Korean bands. Heck, if Boa could ever get singing in English down, she could probably chart in US. The other bands seem to have their up and down points, but have song a few songs that I, at least, found to be enjoyable.

Short lived TV shows no one seems to remember
Der Kommissar replied to King Kamala's topic in Television & Film
As for me: Sinbad: Seemed to be a show to capitalize off of Hercules and Xena which were popular at the time. It was the Adventures of Sinbad, of course. I found this little gem of a show still on the air on Saturdays at 3 PM. Sad. I used to watch it during it's assumingly short stint. Cleopatra 2525 - I believe the plot was something about a girl from modern times getting stuck in the year 2525, and trying to stop this evil super villain. It was a nice way to pass the time at noon on Saturdays. Too bad it was yanked off the air quickly. Black Scorpion - just saw this show on a local channel. I was about to change the channel when I discovered that the villain was none other than Adam West. He played an evil doctor who was stuck in suit, after he was shot in the lung. It was cancelled in 2001, yet somehow still showed up on local tv. It seemed like the show was trying to be a cross between 1960s Batman and the Batman movies, yet somehow failing on both counts. I did a little research and I might have to watch this show more often. Apparently, Frank Gorshin made an appearance as an villain, and with villains like an evil fireman, an evil environmentalis named Hurricane, and Gangsta Pranksta, it can't be all that bad. Plus, the hero wears a mask similar to WWE's Hurricane. I also remember a show call "Malibu Heights" or something that showed up on WB in like 2001. It was a comedy where all the characters worked in a soap opera. It was canned after 6 episodes though. -
From what I can remember, it happened on a Thunder during early in Russo's first WCW stint. It was won by Chavo Guerrero Jr. EDIT: From what I could see on a google search, it as an "opportunity knocks" battle royal, where the winner gets a shot on Nitro, while the losers should seek employment elsewhere. The participants were: El Dandy, Regal, Dave Taylor, Jerry Flynn, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Adams, Scotty Riggs & Prince Iaukea. For some reason, Iaukea was kept on and became the Artist Foremerly known as Prince. I actually originally thought he won the thing, I guess I was mistaken.

Wasn't Regal written back out of WCW early in the Russo years when he and a bunch of other jobbers were involved in a battle royal where the losers got fired and the winner got a new gimmick?
