Thinking about getting a Gameboy Advance for my

Speaking of portables. I'm in the same boat as Edward, in my case I got some money from financial aid and a wedding to goto to. So I'm picking up a GBA or a DS. Can the DS play imports, or does it have a territorial lockout? I know the GBA can play any GBA game no matter what, but if the DS won't let me import Final Fire Pro and the greatness that is Management of Ring, then me no interested.

Spots that should've been the finish...

Maybe I read wrong, but this is a thread about spots that should have been the finish. Not who should have went over in a specific match. Putting this back on topic: The first HITC spot Foley took. Easily. The match should have been stopped at that point, there was little way they were going to top that. Plus it would have put over how sadistic UT had gotten, and the match's dangerousness. Instead they went on, and Foley nearly killed himself. Fun times.

The Industry Is Shooting Itself Again

I've used Itunes. Bought two songs with it. It's alright...their music selection needs some SERIOUS friggin help though. Buying the actual songs is so simple. You set up an account, then hit a little button that says "Buy song". Confirm it when it asks you, and whalla. Song is downloading. ...A bit too simple really, it gets somewhat addictive. Edit: Should add that the two songs I got were a Puffy Ami Yumi song and a Who song...so it does have some stuff that isn't top 40.

    The Ultimate Fighter

THAT was a face turn right there. No matter how much of an ass Leben can be, you just don't push someone like that and not expect something to happen. The only reason he rampaged like that was because he didn't know where the fuck he was. All he knew was someone dumped water on him, he knew who it was, and he was going to find them and kill them. This fight is going to freakin RULE.

Edge and Orton In the Midcard !

I have no friggin idea what WWE is planning for Edge...Nor do I really think they know either. Edge right now, is at a very important phase of his gimmick, if not his career. If he doesn't win a world title right now, while his entire character is obsessed over it, then he's basicly going to be a failure. Too many times choking can kill a character DEAD. I can see Edge feuding with Batista after WM, but they won't put the world title on him. No heel, since Summer of 2002, has held a world title on Raw except for Hunter. Brock was the last person to do so before he jumped to SD. That, is just a siiick statistic.

    The 2005 Rumble

I'm ordering it. My first WWE PPV since Royal Rumble 2002. Three years of not getting PPV's, thats a pretty decent trackrecord.

Things that annoy the shit out of you

When people make broad generalizations regarding music styles and their quality. Not all bands in a style suck(duh), so people going "____(Enter Musical style here) sucks." annoys me to no end.

    The Ultimate Fighter

The reason they were picked was for drama. Simple as that. You can think this isn't a true reality TV show, but these first two episodes have been. You need fodder for those early episodes, so they got guys who were clearly not up to par and put them in there for the sake of easy eliminations. No one would want to see an excellent fighter go out early to that concept, but at the same time you don't want to see someone like Thacker getting mauled in the ring. Compromise, so to speak. If the show is going to real fights, then I'll stick with it. Yesterday's episode was like just another verison of practically every Reality show on TV with a "House" format. ..Only with MMA guys. Anyway, back to the dude: Leben is a good fighter, I can't take that away from him. His unprofessional behavior is downright insulting though. Every show needs an antgonist, and he's this show's verison...I just hope his ass gets KO'd reaaally soon. ...Oh yeah, I mark for Diego.

    The Ultimate Fighter

I was honestly so hyped up for this show, but after two episodes I don't know if I'm going to continue to watch. That Chris dude is BRUT-AAAL to watch. It's not funny, it's not interesting, it's just fucking annoying to watch him drink himself silly, and then annoy everyone around him. Lets not ignore that he broke the rules of the show. It didn't help that it was heavily telegraphed who was staying, and going. I knew the second I heard some of the comments that he wasn't going. Not to mention that he freaking lied right to Randy's face. The sad part is, this show is going to be dominated by this guy for his "personality" like alot of annoying people in reality TV history. It might start improving, but inless someone KO's the shit out of him, he's going to get more and more overbearing, and his screen time will increase as other people go bye bye.

    Graphics cards

Not to hijack the thread...I'm in the process of updating some of the more dire areas needed for my PC. Memory and Video card being the main two. I've been looking at http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-130-186&depa=1 which was suggested in an earlier thread. The question I pose however, is this card powerful enough to run things like Unreal Tournament 2k4 with decent results or Madden 2005? My current peice of crap Intregrated Card can play UT2k4 somewhat, but it outright dies if I try Madden. If that card isn't powerful enough, I guess I could look into a more expensive card using the tests from Tom's Hardware.

Reef Sharks beat Bling? Wow. I wouldn't have expected that one. Bling looked like the top team in both divisions at one point too.

What happened this week? I missed it, and it looks like Game isn't replaying it. I saw it was like an "All-Star" game, which probably ruled

    TNM7 Wrestler Export Files...?

Their totally different. EWR is a management game, TNM7 is a Simulator. Basicly, while you can run a fed with hiring and firing, there is no wage system. However, the game has the most complex match system in the history of wrestling games. Matches flow from spot to spot and are fun to watch. Someone named PTC put it best: "Somepeople like to play games(EWR), but I prefer to tell a story(TNM7)"

    TNM7 Wrestler Export Files...?

Your best bet for TNM7 exports for those guys are either the TNm7.com site, or the TNM7 UK site. Both have roster files for WWE and so on. Personally, I'm looking for good puroresu and Lucha Libre exports. I've managed to peice together the CMLL roster for the most part, but most of them are atleast a year old. Extreme Dodgeball

Last year, they had the insane abuse of the regeneration target by McKinney. This year they don't have that. and it's really caused McKinney to be worthless. Of course, they added Art Speigel who carrys the team on his back. I gotta say, this season has felt like an actual competition and not some sideshow activity. Every team has ability unlike last season where you had really...really...really bad teams playing.

    Extreme Dodgeball

I figured it was one or the other. Out of all the teams left, who do you guys think will win? I'm voting for the Army team(Desert Storm? Something like that.) to beat the CPA's in an upset. They started off so-so, but have become the most consistant team in the league by far going into the playoffs.

    Extreme Dodgeball

Wasn't that Constanza(sp?) that kept doing that? I don't know what happened to the guy, but now he's got the temper of a mad man. Flipping off refs, throwing hissy fits. It's funny.

    Extreme Dodgeball

I watch Extreme Dodgeball every week. Have been since the first episode. The commentary is really freaking good all things considered(They'll POINT OUT when something goes wrong that wasn't supposed to happen. Like a few games back they noticed that one of the CPA's didn't get in the game when their team caught a ball.) and most of the games this season have been awesome. I'm a mark for Ink Inc. ...I miss Damian Troy though. I'm also a growing fan of the Army team...which I can't remember the name for right now.

Why is Lord of the Rights so great?

Kahran pretty much nailed everything that I could have said, and probably more. I just don't know, I can see not liking the trilogy but calling it boring or slow seems kinda...wrong. Something is generally always going on in some form and there aren't many wasted scenes. I can see not wanting to watch a three hour movie in one shot, but that doesn't make it slow and/or boring, that just means you don't feel like watching it IMO. I gleefully watch Kurosawa movies though, so I'm used to a VERY slow pace in movies(I actually detest movies that go *BOOMBOOMBOOM* with the info or scenes) so I'm really uneffected by the pace.

Why is Lord of the Rights so great?

I really don't get this thread. At all. Each movie plays a HEAVY part of the overall story arc. We get to see the beginnings of all the characters and eventually through ROTK we get to see the culmination. Look at it like this. Frodo starts off as a normal hobbit who much like his uncle has a interest in things beyond the Shire. Over the course of the first movie he's thrown into a situation he can't control in the slightest and by the END, he's forced to leave everything behind that he once loved and everyone he had come to care for to do this mission that was litterally practically thrown to him. In the second one, we get to see how the Ring is slowly taking hold of his mind, controling his thoughts and actions. He starts off normal enough(As normal as he was by the end of Fellowship) but by the end he's a tortured being who is being tormented daily by the power of what he has to carry and the burden of responsibility. Return of the King shows us how the Ring has litterally CONSUMED Frodo. He has no will, he has no power against it. It now controls everything about him and it eventually falls down to Sam to (Quite litterally) CARRY his ass to that mountain and in the end he can't go back to his life or anything he cares about due to what he went through. Frodo's story arc is interesting to watch, and quite tragic. On top of that, you have Aragon coming to grips with destiny that he doesn't want, Faramir's quest to be looked upon favorably by his father and so on. The overall story of LOTR is awe inspiring when you break it down. Free of all the burdens from the book(Who the HELL needs all those songs anyway?) it's able to reach what it should as an epic, classic movie. Combining the score, the action, the story and the characters together and you get the best overall movie I may have ever seen. I've seen and liked FAR slower movies then the LOTR trilogy(Such as a good portion of all Kurosawa movies) so I really think anyone who wrote it off as "Boring" needs to put on a different thinking cap and give it another go.

    Best PC gamepads?

The Gravis Gamepad Pro rulles. I liked my Logitech Dual Action too. and My old Saitek p140 or something like that. The problem with PC pads is that their FRAGILE as HELL. You drop them a few times and all of a sudden you can't go down. It's freaking annoying. Outside of the Saitek, the others broke in like...a few months. I had the Saitek for YEARS before it finally croaked.

    Reality TV

I only watch a few Reality TV shows anymore. They really have burned out the genre as of late. I watch Survivor every season, just to see how people react. Backstabbing, breakdowns, internal power struggles. All fun stuff. I was also a big fan of the Mole and Murder in Small Town X(Mainly cause there was nothing else like it) and I watch the Amazing Race every time it's on. I was also a Last Comic Standing fan until NBC yanked it. Personally, outside of Joe Schmo(The first one), I haven't had any interest in the hoax ones, and I never got into the Apprentice or American Idol. Most of the ones on TV today suck the meat missle pretty hard though.

Kurt Angle was beaten by a TE kid.

That was a VERY snug looking guard-Kimura to me. It looked like Puder had his legs locked tight, Angle was going nowhere fast in that hold. If that was scripted then kudo's to the WWE writing team. Thats exactly how you build someone. He got beat on a technicality and had Angle in a very bad spot... If it was a shoot then their fucking idiots. Puder is a trained MMA fighter, it'd be the same as putting Ken Shamrock during 1996 in that position. He'd have killed people, you just don't do that with a trained MMA fighter. Angle may be one of the best wrestlers in the world in terms of his shoot skills but he's not a trained MMA fighter and due to that a skilled MMA fighter can take out a highly trained Amat Wrestler 90% of the time.

A few problems I need some help with

Thanks for the Reply Tom. See, I'm at the last stage(..I would hope) wuth my jump drive. I've got it installed on my old machine, but the damn infernal thing won't let me access it. It should pop up as E drive, but it just...is...not...there. If I can get past THAT, then I'm pretty golden. It's not a huge drive, but it's enough to transfer my stuff over a couple thousand trips. I appreciate the help though man, I'm very much at my wits end regarding this thing.

A few problems I need some help with

I've been using PC's since about 1996 give or take six or so months or whatever you wiill. However, I've never really gotten into the hardware side of things. I can replace a Hard-drive and things like that but never anything totally serious. A little backstory: Earlier this year, my old Gateway "Fried" forcing me to buy a new PC. I had years of information on that PC but what can you do? So I've dealt with that for some time until today. I started thinking about the old PC and I couldn't remember what went wrong with it, or what it had been doing...so, I dug it out and fiddled with the connections and WHALLAH my old PC is operational again. Now to the present time: I desperately want to get the information I had on this PC onto my new machine. Only problems I face are thus; My old PC had 64 ram, no CD burner and has only two USB ports. I have a USB Jump Drive, but for the LIFE of me I can't get Win98 to install the god damn thing, as it wants drivers which I have litterally no idea where to get for it. It's a Lexar USB "Secure" Jump Drive for those wondering. So question el numero uno: Where can I find a driver that can make 98 friggin install the drive? If I can get it working, I can sllllowly transfer all the crap on there. Now for the other one - Since I have two PC's, I've been thinking of connecting them, or "Networking" or whatever they call it. I really don't give a damn about net surfing or anything like that. I just want to freely take stuff from either machine and put it on the other. I've read a WHOLE bunch of ways to do this type of things but I'm limited by the fact that I don't have an Ethernet card and I will not open up my Dell inless it's ABSOLLLUTELY needed...I need that warranty with my luck. So my final question: Is there any way I can connect these two Update: I finally got the Lexar Jump drive to install...problem is, it won't friggin show up as a drive. It's like the PC isn't accessing it even though it knows iit's in there. I'm going to kill someone really quick if I can't figure this out.
