Confide In Me > Any other Kylie song.
-
I can go to London and stalk her whenever I want. HA!
-
It's a good thing. You'd only sell them for Kylie albums.

Blasphemy. Body Language is #2 only behind Impossible Princess. IP is way too patchy. The singles are great, but the rest lets it down.

I'm still a heel? Shit, I forgot. Erm, ban Loss. I think that giving somebody a private warning first is a good idea (otherwise the thread will disolve into people taking the piss at them for getting warned, and to stop others winding them up to get them banned), but if they continue it should be made public. That way people know what type of stuff is deserving of a warning. Make an example of them, I tells ya! When the WWE rules are finalised, it might also be a good idea to have a pinned topic like this one showing the type of things mods are looking out for.Good and bad threads/posts etc.

In my opinion, CE is the one folder which disolves into petty squabling faster than any other. It is almost impossible to have an intelligent debate in there, which should be the forums strength. I have seen many posters put foward their ideas and opinions intelligently and politely, only to have them ignored or rubbished with no reason. And they seldom come back. Look at that abortion/death sentence thread I quoted. That was a great topic, but you can't say it ever got close to being the open minded discussion it should have been. It soon became "abortion = bad, death sentence = good, if you disagree, you're a moron". And I'm not just saying this because I disagree with the commonplace view: in the "Bush at 48% approval" thread, it quickly descended into petty squabbling between pro-Bush and anti-Bush, pro-conspiracy and anti-conspiracy. I'm not slighting Dr. Tom (as the most prominent mod in C.E.), but the folder does descend into petty squabbling very quickly, and could greatly benefit from the prescence of a seperate dedicated mod. Certainly it is more deserving than the WWE folder.

IMHO, Besus's contradicting everybody else isn't a problem, but when he wears it as a badge to wind up those who disagree with him it's a problem. He wasn't the problem in the Angle thread though. People started with him when there was no need to.

I would suggest a folder mod for CE, but I don't think any of the regular posters would be suited to it. It needs someone neutral.

Body Language < Fever

I think an opinion should make somebody say one of two things. "Yes, I agree." or "Why?" There's no 'why' in CE. It's all, 'well, then you must be (insert derogatory word here).' After that, one could give all the facts in the world to support their opinion, and it wouldn't matter. I guess my view of a debate is skewed. For example: The Death Penalty/Abortion Thread

If you want people to take you seriously, yes. An opinion alone is worthless. You can think anything you want, but unless you're able to defend your position, no one will give two pins what you say, really. I dunno. Sometimes in CE, people take the view that your opinion is invalid if you don't have any facts to back it up. Which, of course, is bollocks. Yes, you need to explain why you believe in something, but sometimes in CE that isn't enough.

IMHO, the Angle thread walked the line of belonging in HD once it went off topic. Maybe if when a thread began to get off topic you closed it (and in this case allowed AS to restart it if he wished), then it would set an example. In the Angle after WMXX thread, Bionic Redneck deserves a warning for flaming without adding anything new. In the Lamont thread, Bionic Redneck deserved a warning for the same thing as before. Choken One was bantering, and didn't mean it in any harm, so I'd say it was okay.

The problem with CE is that almost all the most prominent posters are Republican.

I'd prefer Lesnar/Michaels or even Lesnar/Jericho. I'd also dig a Benoit/Lesnar rematch down the line.

The thing about The Darkness is that they played pubs and clubs for years before making it, leotards and all. Record companies actually turned them down because they thought people wouldn't take the music seriously. I Believe In A Thing Called Love flopped on it's original release in the UK. It's only after Get Your Hands Off Of My Woman got late night airplay on MTV2 and Growing On Me's cool video that they got noticed by the general public. Then they had good luck at festivals (opening the main stage at Glastonbury and being pushed up the card at Reading/Leeds after Jay-Z pulled out to shag Beyonce) and I Believe In A Thing Called Love got on Radio 1s A-List that they were considered a success. They played off their gimmick in the same way Queen did when they started, almost to the point of being a tribute band. However, that doesn't make them any less real.

Well, that was out of left field. To be fair, I don't think Oliveri's leaving has anything to do with getting a big head after success. He always seemed the odd one out of the group. Interesting that the group has now become Screaming Trees with Josh Homme.

I get the feeling that when Kurt retires (providing it's not forced) that we'll know about it before hand. Kurt seems like the kind of guy who'd hype up his final match.

I like the fact that the most foolish person on this board can still book WMXX better than Vince and co...

TOMKO + FERTIG~!
-
Poor Lamont. And on the same day he got his story on WWE.com

Penis Biting Pillhead?
-
Nah, they wear the leotards on stage. It'd just look stupid to wear that for interviews too. Besides, that wasn't their first video. It was their third (IIRC)

Not to mention the fact that you'd expect an intelligent homosexual to be more tolerant to other races than the average Joe...

If you could, like on AIM, block people's posts
k thx replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
Well done Damaramu. Acting like a cunt is better than acting like a non-entity.
