Speaking of soundtracks, "Defy You" was a minor hit on the Orange County soundtrack

The show would suffer too much without Christian. And even though Hill died on Oz, he was still there to voiceover episodes. I was shocked with Wangler dying cause it was the first friggin episode of season 4, you don't kill your major guys right at the start. With Oz there were always new criminals to take the place of ones that died...so it worked there.

Decient song, but "Nitro (Youth Energy)" is my favorite off the album

I loved the Ava twist, and I like the way they found it out. I expected the Carver to get Christian leaving Shawn's house, but they did it much better catching him in bed like that. Great cliffhanger ending. And I could have done without Joan Rivers, but Alec Baldwin had a good role.

I rank the sets: 1. Alonzo 2. Dave (at a close 2nd) 3. Rich 4. John...he just didn't click with the crowd and the jokes weren't his best Personally I thought Gulman had a much better roast than Alonzo, although Bodden's stand up is ultimatly better. The debate...was Alonzo the only one who thought of doing new recient material?

*comes on keyboard* Sorry man, very nice set up. I wish I had that kind of money to burn on mine

From warrenzevon.com on October 19th, artemis Records is set to release a very special tribute album entitled enjoy every sandwich: the songs of warren zevon. the album features many of zevon’s best-known songs performed by a stunning array of artists including bruce springsteen, bob dylan, jackson browne, adam sandler, don henley, pixies and many more. also included are two never-before-released zevon-penned songs: “studebaker” performed by zevon’s son, jordan zevon with background vocals provided by THE wallflowers’ jakob dylan, and “the wind” performed by billy bob thornton. legendary arranger van dyke parks adds string arrangements to the beautiful “keep me in your Heart”, performed by jorge calderon and jennifer warnes. ************************

I wasn't at all impressed with The Ring...but the Grudge looks creepy. I think I'll go see it.

When did Petey Williams lose the IWA-MS Title?
Youth N Asia replied to zyn081's topic in General Wrestling
Cannon basicaly said that Wiliams said he would defend the title throughout the tourney, but Cannon never agreed to do the same, so it wasn't a title match. But it was kind of implied that the title would be defended all night. Hell of a match with Petey and Cannon though...the crowd was all for Williams untill the second before Cannon hit the shinning wizard, then they went nuts for him. -
Either way, Cal has been a wrestling wasteland for years. I really don't know what they could do now to pull it back. Same here in Michigan, there is nothing going on.

Maybe after no one bought their TEN DOLLAR issue last year they thought it would be a good idea to cut back.

Probably some old timer who can't get booked as much as he used to.

Losing Okur will hurt the Pistons in the long run...but he got too good of a deal to pass up. Without the Red Wings I will definatly watch more Pistons games this year. Although I have a hard time watching basketball regularly...I'll get fed up and channel surf after too many light taps get called for fouls and slow down the game too much.

They can still piss off...OVW is not that big of a deal
-
I think in 2004 more people know CZW, ROH, and IWA Midsouth than OVW...yet those are looked at as much less in these lists. Most of the good IWA guys are in the late 300s.

Hate all you want, I don't know many other bands who've given away a million out of their own pocket to give to a fan for a contest.

My favorite Zevon concept is "Jesus Mentioned." A song about digging up Elvis so he can sing to him about Heaven. But I think my favorite song is "Lawyers, Guns, and Money."
-
I think I wrote off the show as a joke when Ralphie and Dat made the finals. Luckly the season 2 cast was waaaayyyy better and made the show so much better.
-
Snow keeps busy in the indies...but the list is f*cked anyway, so don't look too into it. That's like asking why Goldberg made the list but not Brock. They quit on the same night, AND Brock had a better year...yet Goldie made top 50
-
I'm all for a Zevon tribute album (could care less about the Pixies though). I'd imagine REM would be on it considering that Mills, Berry, and Buck were in the Hindu Love Gods with Warren.

IWA-MS lineup for 10/21 plus more news and notes
Youth N Asia replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I've seen Super Dragon on tape before, he's not bad by any means, but I just don't understand all the love he gets. Especially at the TPI show, -
And did I miss something...or are the Briscoe Brothers not listed?
-
49. Matt Morgon...what's he done this year? I mean to make to 500, let alone 50. 159. Rodney Mack...yeah, he's been productive. 150. Jon Heidendreich...him too...worked shitty matches and got pulled off tv. 104. Test...haven't seen him in 8 months or so. 85. Garrison Cade... Yeah, I know we all bitch about this every year, but there's good reason. and why is it that they can't break down a tag team enough to list them more then a couple of spots apart?
-
Meh...I think that was more for season 1 support then anything else, cause Gulman was killing him.
