They might be, but I dont think we've seen the last of Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Anyone notice the keyblades the three armored guys picked up? Two of them look an awful lot like the Kingdom Key and Riku's dark key. There were some other interesting phrases too.

Well, there was a whole bunch of stuff you were supposed to have to do for KHI to get the secret ending, and I ended up only playing through the whole story to get it.

Renegade, did you finish the game on Normal? And if so, did you do anything besides beat all the worlds? I'm pretty sure Jiminy's journals pretty well done if you get all the keyholes and heartless/nobodies, and Im pretty sure I've done that.

Yeah, I only needed five pages to finish 100 acre wood. Luxard is incredibly easy once you realize what you have to do, and Riku is awesome.

And the excessive use of drives thing doesn't make sense to me, I rarely use drive and it's usually just to level it up. Using it during every/every other boss battle. Thats what I've done and it's only happened to me twice. I figure you're right in the idea that it's Sora "tapping into his inner darkness" like emo Cloud said, that's just the "official" explanation.

I thought that too at first. 1st time it happened during the boss on the 2nd time through Port royal, so I shrugged it off as the "curse" somehow affecting us afterall. The 2nd time it happened outta nowhere in beasts castle.

Has anyone else come across this? I've had it happen twice now. During a fight, my HP'll get low and it'll give the Valor reaction command, so I'll take it but instead of turning into valor form Sora turns into like a heartless version of himself. The 1st time he still had both keyblades, but this second time, he just turned into some crazy heartless veriation with no weapons, fighting with his hands. It's...wierd.

Not really, they recap the ending of the first one right from the start and you'll see highlights from game one before things really get going. Seems like you can play either game stand alone but the original is so very enjoyable and so low priced now that I couldn't see not grabbing it up eventually. And if you get lost, some probably won't mind explaining what the hell is going on. The only thing I'm not liking right now is every world just follows the story of the movies and you are just kinda there. I liked the original with entirely different stories than the movies. Felt more engrossing. Well, KHI went through most of the movie stories, they were just changed to fit the game's story with the heartless and the movie baddies trying to capture all the female leads. Now we're just going through the movie stories with the heartless/nobodies/Org XIII thrown in and it feels like alot of the things are repeating, which I dont like. Like Agrabah, when you go to the Cave of wonders in II and Sora, Donald and Goofy act like its the coolest thing ever, like theyve never been there before even though they did that whole thing in the 1st game. Although the palques at the Colosium still having your name and ranks is a nice touch.

You dont_have_to. You won't understand much of it, but you dont have to play I to enjoy II.

I'm playing on Normal. Xaldin's annoying me enough without being on Hard mode. Although I have to agree it does seem easier than KHI, besides a few boss battles.

Yeah I do, but thats another thing thats annoying me, I can never get my potions to work with Sora. Everytime I hold down the button to use for magic/potions, my potions are always darkened out/not usable, even though I've got tons of them, and always re-stock my party's equp spots. I ran into the same problem. You have to go back through some of the other towns and do follow up missions. I went to Land of The dragons and then Port Royal and they opened back up.

Well yeah, like all the reaction commands, you have to be in the "right place" to do them. Donald's works pretty frequently for me though. Xaldin is pissing me off, not really because of the invicibilty part, but because of the annoying giant wind staffs that hit you no matter what. And that "Jump" reaction command is useless.

Goffy's limit is...eh. I barely use Goofy. Donald's Cosmic Rain and later on his supremely cool Mega-rocket limits are infinitely better.

Demyx (the water boss organization guy) is a really fun fight. Especially if you have the Reaction Limit command ability set that allows you to go Valor form from the Reaction command. Reaction Limit + Damage Drive is awesome. And yes, the 1000 heartless fight is crazy fun. Have you been back to Port Royal, or Beasts castle yet? Talk about frustrating boss battles... EDIT: Roxas is a much bigger part of the story later on, I think. Axel's trying to do everything he can to bring Roxas back including . Thats some continuity.

I said this eariler, but I'm really pissed the incompetent fools calling the match completely ignored the real story of the match, and hopefully they rectify it tonight. The story started out that way, but by the point of WM, it was Vince wanting to torture Shawn for NOT going down that road with Vince again. When Shawn finally did revert, he did in spite of Vince, not for him. The real story of the match was the match they were announcing, not that Shawn was reverting.

Yeah I havent checked through all of the journel yet, so I'm sure there's something. I'm probably gonna go back to POTC and see if that'll reopen Holloween town.

Ah yeah, that would be nice. And yeah, block sucks. I'm stuck right now. I went through Agrabah and POTC, and then went back to Twilight Town and then Hollow Bastion/Traverse Town, not bothering with Holloweent town and Pride Lands. (because the game more or less told me to go back) And after a huge battle where you join up with almost every other hero in town, I saved HB, but now....Halloweentown, Agrabah and The Pride Lands are cut off. And I can't do anything in Atlantica because I apparently need something from H-town. The big series through the end of HB is great though.

Played through POTC and Agrabah, the weak Combo attacks with Aladdin suck this time. Though I didnt really get to use them as I was making the heartless my bitches with Donald's Comet & Cosmic Rain. The Drives are pretty cool so far. I tend to like Valor more than Wisdom. Dual Keyblades! The only summon I had up till Agrabah was Chicken Little who, well..is terrible. But now I've got Genie, so its gonna be more fun, hopefully.

I've had Dodge Roll since Disney Castle as a reaction command. It only works for those little bomb things though. That hallway is great. As is Timeless River. Just started POTC, I like it so far. The fight on the Interceptor is cool.

I haven't seen the commercial, but if the song playing is the English version of Utada Hikaru's "Passion", then you're so fucking wrong, because that song fucking rules. It is, and yes, it's a great song. The game does drag a bit in the beginning. The mini-games in the very beginning are terrible.To have to do them as many times as you do is even worse. Once you get past the third day you actually have a reason to start caring about Roxas, and by the 7th it's actually kinda sad. I've enjoyed the story so far, although it is kinda cutscene heavy in the prologue. The actual game (with sora as the lead) isnt as bad as the other guy makes it out to be, there are alot of cutscenes, but theres more fighting than he makes out. The gummi ships actually fun to play this time around, as opposed to really annoying from KHI. Leon and Aerith do sound awful, but most of the others are pretty good. Christopher Lee is awesome.

In a Team USA vs DiTR match (w/Simon on commentary) Simon asks Tenay how the hell Sonjay gets to be on Team USA when Primetime isnt. "He's not even American!" Tenay responds saying that Sonjay was born in Bombay India but is a US citizen.
