My personal opinion...I think wrestlers look better with shorter hair....
-
Exactly Choken One... What dumbass would give an opportunity to work for WWE....in which...you will get payed more money.....and you have more security(finanically) for your family... To be honest IMO...WWE wouldn't be a bad company to work for...I mean...yes they have politics...but what company doesn't...??
-
I hate dumbass anti gay peeps..
-
Just 4 years ago....the creative team could come up with some hilarious ideas......why can't we not have this creative team back with the old Vince McMahon ENJOY Backlash 2000
-
I know Viacom can afford it.....hell they can afford to pay them 1 million a week if they want too.....but the price Viacom paid....isnt' the ratings the WWE is getting now.....that's all I'm stating..
-
IMO...if AOL had not merged with Time Warner...wCw would probaly still be here today...because Ted Turner would still be a player in the company...he was very pissed when wCw was sold from under him...and planted the seeds for him to leave the company a year or two later.. As you can see AOL Time Warner is no more...and they went back to Time Warner as the official name of the company.....it was a poor merger...and the company made some bad decisions..
-
I thought Ric Flair when he was President of wCw did a good job as well......he wasn't totally impartial....but he was funny as hell... BTW ...I think he would be a good choice for President of WWE...when they have their elections this fall....hopefully he's on the ballot... LOL
-
Why can't we have someone like Mick Foley when he was commissoner in 2000.....I would like a GM like that.....not really favoring one group or another...he was kinda impartial as well...
-
To be honest I thought Directv and TNA had a very good business relationship...does anyone remember when Directv dedicated a full page article on Total Nonstap Action and there PPV... There was even a exclusive PPV show at one time....that was only carried on Directv...so this really is a shocker to me..

I agree...
-
I agree with you both.....

Armageddon '00 1.15 Survivor Series '00 1.0 No Mercy '00 1.35 Unforgiven '00 1.5 Summer Slam '00 1.4 Fully Loaded '00 1.04 King Of The Ring '00 1.19 Judgment Day '00 1.05 Backlash '00 1.65 WrestleMania XVI 2.35 No Way Out '00 1.2 Royal Rumble '00 1.6 That's called a standout year....during that year not one buyrate went below the 1.0 mark.....when that happens...you are creating some exciting T.V. and you really have the fans hooked to a particular storyline....and they want to see the PPV....
-
You can thank Bruce Pritchard for that... I say around late August...when things went downward...and you could tell...that a power conflict was coming along.....the WWE was becoming too hot...great revenue...excellent ratings...and some record breaking buyrates....everything was going so well.....then it crumbled...and that leads us to now...
-
No clue...but I was just saying that may be a possiblility..
-
Since the creative director at that time Chris Kreski(late 99 to October 2000)...always planned things well in advance.....I think Vince McMahon and Chris Kreski...had always planned for Triple H to win the match at Wrestlemania 2000....Chris Kreski always wanted to break from the traditional things in WWE(hence the heel winning at Mania) and also move it to more of a reality...you can see what he did to the Undertaker charcter when he was brought back.. I will continue to say this....I'm glad Triple H did win at WM 2000..and the swerve with Vince happened...it made for great T.V. and set up for the biggest non 5 star PPV...called Backlash.....
-
Yep you are right.....maybe they saw it as a conflict....but who knows.. But this is not good news...next thing you know...FSN wil drop it...since they are all apart of the NewsCorp family.. This will hurt TNA weekly PPV's alot...Directv is the main source of TNA buys...and with 12 million plus subcribers on Directv...this is very bad..
-
^^^ That was very good Promoter...
-
Complain all you want about the McMahons on T.V. too much in 2000....but they had very good buyrates on every PPV...ratings stayed high...things started to fall down...around October of 2000.... So the fans liked having the McMahon's on T.V......but the McMahon's didn't know how to leave...when it was there time to go...

You really think Viacom is going to continue to pay WWE 500K a week for 3's in ratings...when they are suppose to be in the 5's and low 6's.....the only reason Viacom wanted WWE in the first place...was because of the high ratings the company got on USA Network...and they would use the sucess of the WWE to help the network they just bought the Nashville Network out.... If WWE wants to remain on Spike TV...I expect a decrease in Viacom's payment....maybe to like 100K or 200K.....
-
Exactly.....when it comes to presentation...Kevin Dunn and his crew are top notch.....without that...WWE wouldn't be the same..
-
Everything worked at this PPV.... The storylines that lead to the PPV were very good.....good matches.....a very good ending to the PPV with the Austin run in......as the Promoter stated...this should have been the Wrestlemania PPV...
-
That's part of WWE's presentation...which Vince strives on...
-
Nah....its not going anywhere anytime soon.....once Vince realizes that he needs to make some changes in management and on HIS creative team.....then you will start to see some changes.....the contract with Viacom ends next year....I think that along will open his eyes...becuz I know Viacom will not be paying 500K a week just for a wrestling show any longer...
-
Well it worked one time in 2000...with Chris Kreski as the creative director....can lightning strike twice ????? HELL NO...because the person would not have full control of the creative process.....and as long as Stephanie Levesque is in charge of the team....a new writer will have no effect...
-
Back when Heyman was the head writer for Smackdown...he was also helping Cole and TAZZ in commentating....Ever since he left the post...Cole and TAZZ's commentary has suffered as well...
