Exactly.. also his latest movie "The Gameplan" was a HUGE box office hit in theaters, and there is no doubt that the DVD sales are going to be very very good.

Yep.. fans voted her in(who obvisouly liked her), but WWE likes their generic white blonde bitches....

Damn she is a bitch...

I'm glad you mentioned Kreski.. After reading a few posts here about successful Hollywood writers not coming to WWE and lowering themselves... they forgot to mention Kreski who was very successful in Hollywood and was employed by WWE. I know that he probably didn't come cheap, but you do get what you pay for.. and Kreski did some great things back in 2000. I think the reason that McMahon went ahead and hired someone like Kreski is due to Russo leaving unexpectedly and he needed someone who knew how to write legitimate TV... Whatever the cost was at that time. Why that has changed?? Who knows.. But at one time he did hire two legitimate Hollywood writers(I forgot the other one that was brought along with Kreski). The one thing that may prevent some for coming is the schedule and how WWE creative works. Kreski left for those two reasons.

Great point... More and more POPULAR content is being moved to cable. With the move of MNF to cable last year(brining in record numbers), and now MLB Playoffs on cable it is no longer the premier company on cable as you stated. Its a different ball game now.

Stephanie started back in September 2000 I think.. Its easy to see when the change happened(especially if you were watching WWE throughout 2000).. I mean the entire conclusion of the Kurt/Steph/Triple H angle was just weird(and definitely not Kreski's work). You can easily see that there was a shift in a different direction. One of the big things he was known for was his attention to continuity. He was said to have had big storyboards charting all the characters and their interactions with each other. That type of thing should be a no-brainer for ANY writing staff, but you can see the results today of not having him around. True, but that's what separates him from the others. He actually knew how to write television.

It all changed in October 2000 when Kreski was replaced. I honestly wonder what would have happened if WCW had managed to stay alive for a little while longer. I remember this guy. A very great writer, and was very successful in the entertainment industry(I think he may be the only WWE writer that had actual "tv success" before arriving to WWE). Which is good, because he actually knew how to write a successful tv program

IMO no one should be surprise by the Justin Roberts move. He fits the look that WWE wants.. its pretty much what every TV executive wants on the screen. Now it includes people that do announcing.. they have to be good looking, young, and have the MTV VJ look. Roberts fits the description.

Backstage, there has been heat between Crime Tyme and Cade & Murdoch for several weeks. During an altercation at a house show this weekend, shad from Crime Tyme said to Trevor Murdock, "Whatever happens out there happens". This was seen as a direct threat and Murdoch addressed Shad's threat in front of the rest of the locker room. Cade & Murdoch decided to pull a rib on Crime Tyme involving the referee of their match that night and a major swerve. There is a spot in the match where JTG gets bumnped out of the ring and gets back in right before getting counted out. The swerve is that the refs were going to count very fast at the end and disqualify Crime Tyme - -without them knowing hte real finish to the match. After it went down, Crime Tyme was shocked -- but immediately gave the referee their finishing maneuver - took off his belt and auctioned it off in the crowd! Although the referee was protected during the move and they stayed in character by auctioning off his belt, Crime Tyme still performed their finisher on somebody who did not expect it or was trained to take it and were seen as the real "bad guys" of the whole situation. They were released after the show RAJAH I hate to involve race, but its obvious that if the roles were reversed, Lance and Cade would have been fired if they were black, instead of Cryme Time. I know some want believe it(most here are white, and have a different perspective on race), but you have to look deeper into the situation.

USA Network is crazy.. they do know that ESPN's MNF(which broke cable ratings last season) is debuting in a few weeks??

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Well what do you expect from a cable channel like FAUX News? They will always have an agenda. -
Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Yeah you still are trying to "condone" what he did. I don't care what influence he was under.. HE KILLED HIS MENTALLY RETARDED 7 YEAR OLD SON, I can't stress that enough. -

If he did kill his wife and son.. I hope he rots in HELL. Only a sick and twisted MF would kill his OWN SON!! But I will not bash him anymore until it is confirmed. -
The OAO Tribute to Chris Benoit Raw Thread.
Kizzo replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
I totally agree. He really pulled me in.. I'm not saying the other comments from others were not sincere or anything like that. But it was more effective! Also McMahon's comments were as well.. I thought he was going to break down. -

I was commenting earlier about the mainstream not reporting this news... But the top site for breaking news TMZ.com has broke the story. CNN, and the other outlets have not(except for FOX News, which has it on the FRONT PAGE). As someone has already pointed.. WWE's history with the media isn't good, so I'm guessing that's the reason they are slowly reporting this. -

It's still quite breaking news and let's be honest, pro wrestling has burnt the mainstream many times. Including just two weeks ago. Many media outlets are probably waiting for more info for the story itself or to even believe it isn't just another WWE stunt. Good point! I forgot about WWE's situation with the media. -

I just found this out a few minutes ago.. Why isn't this reported on the damn mainstream news??? I'm very shocked at the moment. -
This could be serious. The Fox-owned MyNetworkTV has been seeking out nontraditional programming (reality & sports) to replace its failed telenovelas. Fox Broadcasting happens to be hq'd in Los Angeles where this meeting will take place. It's hard not to connect the dots here. FOX Broadcasting in general has had some interest in wrestling. If you remember back in 99/2000 when WWE was in negotiations with different companies for a new TV deal. FOX Broadcasting was brought up as a potential candidate for WWE's new home. I don't recall if they had a significant interest in bringing WWE to FOX Broadcasting, but they were brought up. I expected if everything went well... RAW would have been on FX, while Smackdown on the FOX Network.

I don't think its that.. We haven't entered a full generation yet since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed. There are still scars left, and those who were in that time are still here today. Whites know what they did to blacks during the 60s and 70s when blacks were trying to fight for their rights. Called them all sorts of names(including what Imus said), of course we also had all the violence, and etc.
-
The only reason "white america" is upset about this Imus situation.. is the fact that a "white man" got put in his place for calling an innocent black basketball team "nappy headed hos". Which is a damn shame.

Batista has to be crushed by the boos.... The guy loves having the crowd cheer his ass.
-
Damnit... let Teddy remain the Smackdown GM. Its the same thing with Bischoff when he was fired as GM.. I can't picture Smackdown without having Teddy Long as General Manager.
-
My guess would be.......we'd still get offered about the same amount of PPV's while there were new PPV's offered to the new overseas brands that we likely wouldn't have access to. Other than on the net or through DVD means. Another option would be WWE 24/7... I wouldn't be surprise if they offer some of the overseas shows that can't be viewed over here...would be made available on their own network.

Not a bad idea at all... But they will have to do extensive research in all markets.. this can't happen overnight. They will have to do long term planning and be committed to this project if they want success...from reading the article it seems they will take the long term approach to this project. If this turns out well for them... this will be HUGE for WWE Corp. Expanding your company outside the US is very good. If it is executed well.
