I'm starting to think this is a bunch of BS...this whole report... Why would the WWE sign him to a mulit year contract....if they didn't like the job he was doing....

I agree...its not just about calling the right moves.... But to answer your question about what makes a good lead announcer.....well that's easy...just listen to any broadcast that had Gorilla Monsoon.......he knew the moves...sold the product(even if it sucked)...had the emotion....all features a lead WWE announcer needs.... Suprisingly enough......Michael Cole has some of those qualities now....I think his time with Paul Heyman really paid off....back in 02 and 03...

I think Joey Styles does better when he is working by himself or just one person....

I agree with McMahon....... Yes, Styles is a great "wrestling" announcer.....but the WWE style is more of telling stories and etc....he has to learn how to develop that type of style if he wants to remanin the lead guy.... .....in the WWE its not about calling moves or knowing all that crap......its about the "story" aspect of it... Since Heyman had to "produce" Styles.....then I guess he will be helping him more...

The one question is...."Who will be in charge of creative?"

All I have to say is....its about time something "unexpected" happen at a WWE event...

I completely agree...... And that's the reason he doesn't have what I like to call "respectable advertisers".....who can help make the product look professional and legit....

There is no cycle......if you have good writing and interesting storylines....people will tune in.......bottom line....that goes for any show... And if they do find a Russo or a new Kreski...it will NOT make a difference because Steph will still be the creative director....

Want change a thing....she will probaly promote Gerwitz's assistant to the head writer position on RAW.......

Looking at his site......he has done some interesting things.... I also stumbled upon a pic of Dave Lagana Smackdown's head writer....

I have always been a big fan of the three man commentary team......all the way back to Nitro when it was Heenan, Mongo, and Bischoff.....during the first year of Nitro... The J.R., King, and Coach team definatley looks like its going to be a huge improvement from what we have had in the past.....

RAW would not be the same with Bischoff gone... From the opening picture of him and everything else.....it just feels like Bischoff is actually running things......I don't know if McMahon actually wanted this to happen....but Bischoff is RAW..... for someone else to get in his position.....it would look odd... Obvisiouly Bischoff and McMahon have a very good relationship.....since he has been with the company for 3 years now...

Michale Cole and Tazz were at their best when Heyman was the one behind their ears.....

His commentary improved a little bit...when Heyman was the head writer of Smackdown....and was talking into Cole and Tazz's headseats during the matches.......instead of McMahon or Jim Ross... As you can see...when Heyman left....the old Michael Cole came back....

I can see this happening......Smackdown is a dead brand...and UPN is putting the FINAL nail in the coffin(airing on Fridays this fall).....after the contract with UPN ends next year.....where are they going to put Smackdown.......the NBC Universal deal only covers 4 hours of programming....RAW(2 hours), and 2 recap shows(1 hour each)...... If they do decide to renew with Smackdown(in which it would be on Fridays)....I can see Vince replacing Smackdown with "ECW".......or they could drop one recap show and have ECW use one of those time slots... They have options.....lets see what they come up with..

I really enjoyed the Kurt Angle character in 2000...he was dorky....yet when it came time to getting it on in the ring....the guy got it done... So I agree with the poster on the last page...Kurt's legacy is 2000-2003

Everyone knew that the title wasn't going to change hands....maybe in the "Attitude ERA" it would have happen....since it was pretty much unpredictable.... So why waste anytime watching the main event...and you already know the outcome???

Kreski resigned in October of 2000....he did NOT finish the storyline with Kurt/Steph/and Triple H......I'm sure if he had not resigned during the storyline it would have played out better......Kreski was more of a "soap opera" type guy....he loved having family drama played out on T.V.(remember the McMahon feud, and Steph slapping her own mother).... I actually enjoyed the Triple H/The Rock feud.......he was able to hold all the viewers attention with their feuds......and always headling a PPV....many writers cannot achieve that kind of sucess....but he was able too... To be honest....I think McMahon truly liked the guy....he was paying him a ton of money....and basically had control of the creative department(since Vince was planning a football league)....

Well I'm shock....this truly sucks.... Chris Kreski did a fantastic job back in 2000.......I mean what he did for the WWE was very good....here is a guy....that had NO experience in wrestling.....and was able to create the most memorable storylines in the history of the WWE....he was very good a creating characters as well.... Triple H should be crying at this moment.....because if it wasn't for Chris Kreski...I dont' think Triple H will be where he is today.......The McMahon-Helmesly storyline really help elevate Triple H....Kreski really spent lots of time trying to make Triple H a main event superstar......he also tweak the Rock's character a little bit....and lets not forget the biggest overhaul he gave to a wrestler......and that was "The Undertaker" he really took a chance with that.....and Kreski did a very good job of trying to evolve the Undertaker..... RIP Chris Kreski...you made history when you were the head of WWE creative team... He went from writing storylines for WWE to Hollywood, where the job is A) higher paying and B) more prestigious. Writing for Hollywood is where it's at, not for WWE unless that is specifically where you want to be which is why "wrestling" people should be writing the TV, not Hollywood hopefuls. Actually its the reverse...he left Hollywood for WWE and went back to Hollywood when he left WWE.........He signed a six figure deal with WWE back in 1999....and he quit WWE in late 2000.....and Steph took over in October of 2000(she confirms this on her past visit on the Howard Stern Show back in 2001)

As a fan of hip hop.....I didn't think John Cena could write a good hip hop album...but I must say listening to those tracks........I kind of liked it...

Stephanie is still in charge...so it really doesn't matter who they hire for the writing teams...its all up to Steph if she wants to present these ideas to Mr. McMahon or not... Now if this Hollywood guy was in the same role that Chris Kreski(creative supervisor/head writer)was then maybe....just maybe we could see how this guy truly writes.....and how well organized he is....

Ok...thanks dude... I got mixed up with the years......but nevertheless...Big Vis did get a huge push...and I don't know why he was demoted after that push.....he should have beat Diesel at Summer Slam...
