Gilmore Girls I've watched every episode of this show several times. I own the DVDs. I love it. The stories are great, the dialogue is bombastic at times, but I love that too. The characters are endearing in a myriad of ways, plus, the show is whimsical for days. I love whimsy. Uh... I don't know... I just love it. Plus... these ladies are in it. Unf. Sorry I'm late, the board was down when I was around yesterday! So I'm taking my third show that I would have been happy with in the first round. Charlie Rose The best interview show on television. It's been running since 1991, with 5 shows a week, so I've got another show with massive amounts of content. Of course, that's not why I took it. He has interviewed everyone. EVERYONE. Bill Clinton, Larry David, Mahmoud Amedinajad, Madeline Albright.... artists, athletes, politicians, chefs, thinkers, movers, shakers, candlestick makers. He interviews them in a simple black room, over a simple oak table. No frills, no graphics, no retarded music... just Charlie, his guest and a robotic camera.

So, the idea here is simple. There are a lot of bands, musicians, groups, etcetera that are considered important. Bands you're supposed to like, for lack of a better term. Sometimes catalogues are daunting, and if you come at them the wrong way, you can get turned off to the artist. Maybe someone at this board can help. Post a band you'd like to get into, and hopefully someone here will have some suggestions for songs or albums that represent what the artist is all about. I'll start it off. Get me into Bruce Springstein. ( I know the radio songs, but I also know there has to be a lot more to the music than that_ Get me into Tom Waits.
