hitting f5 doesn't change the unique visitor count. That number is based on individual users. If you visit the site daily, you still count only as +1 a month to that number.
I realize those pages are becoming dated, however where should i send them all?

The only reason the main page is still there is because there is some type of demand for it somehow. It got 17,000+ unique visitors last month, and nearly 100,000 page views. That some pretty decent traffic.

Spy Bot S&F and ad-aware is must haves. FireFox v1.5 is out so make sure you have that. I would set firefox as your default browser. Changing defult browsers will tell if its on your PC too. If it continues to pop stuff up, then its a bit worse.
Also, when using spybot and ad aware, make sure you do the updates, reboot, hit F8 when computer is booting up BEFORE you see the windows XP Screen. and choose safemode. and do the scan in safemode, so that it can get rid of anything thats normally active in a normal boot.

I agree, however, its not costing anymore to leave it up. It actually gets about 15k individual visits a month, and almost 100k page views a month.

Flood Control is set for 30 seconds, and you guys are complaining? What do you have, multiple monitors and sessions, just trying to increase post counts? lol, Maybe post counts will be "hidden" or something in the future if thats the case.

Merge member's concurrent posts
When a member posts twice within n minutes, once after the other in a topic they will be merged into one post. Enter the number of minutes to capture concurrent posts.
Is re-enabled @ 3 minutes. How is that? or is 1-2 better? I know some topics are rather quick, and don't want to merge the topic into grouped by posters.

The only reason I left the skins on the forums visibly, was so people don't wonder what happened so quickly. If i would have removed them, I would have a lot of complaints about lack of skins.
So now you get to see them broken, if they are, I believe most are unfortunately. -

Once things get rolling, I am sure there is a skin out there to disable the new interface and make things older.

The blog feature is still here, for some reason, on the new skin the link is not showing up in the top right.

Ok, well the upgrade went pretty smoothly after doing a test with our very large database.
However it seems that the blogs button in the top right isn't there, and there are a few other issues in the background currently still to be resolved.
Skins aside from the v2.1 skin, may have problems as well. Try using the v2.1 skin to correct these, until the skins are updated.

Seriously, screw xbox live, get XBConnect or one of the many FREE alternatives, that works better, because it creates a connection between you and the other team, no server in between such as Microsoft's sucky ones.

I would agree with the Floppy Drive, man I miss those suckers. They were always reliable, maybe not the fastest or shiniest, but never failed.

This week I am planning on doing the upgrade, the exact time/day will probably be announced later. Right off the bat, we will lose the extra skins, but they should come back shortly. There may also be intermittent down time which I perform other database maintenance before the upgrade.

Really not much technology is needed, besides a decent mic. Hell you could have dialup, the shows would just be delayed a day or two due to uploading.
We used TeamSpeak as the program to record interviews, which you can have as many people in that room that your want. As long as you got the enthusiastic radio voice & elaborate talking attitude, you could do it.I wouldn’t mind helping setup someone in the sports forum start it up, really we can do whatever we want with the show setup wise, its up to the host imagination.

I prefer IBM's drives; they tend to have a 3-5yr warranty, nice speeds, and cache. This server use to run off two 80 GB drives in a raid. I would also recommend getting the extra PCI-SATA card for the little extra cost, you should notice a difference. PM me if you have other questions.
