Also, has someone has pointed out the have been known as the World Wide Fund for Nature for years especially in the UK and there logo over here was always the panda and the initals "WWF" and most likely still is

the Wrestling Classic was a PPV The Big Event was a speical show recorded in Canada and later released on 2-hour edited home video. Some matches were also televised on Prime Time

I would read through the first 20+ pages of this thread but I dont have time so I'll just put briefly what I thought of the PPV: Firstly, the crowd were horrible! But then again its nothing new from a Toronto crowd, as I have seen them do the Mexican Wave during matches before. Most of the show was pretty decent I thought except Angle vs. Eddie which was way too short and also that the Sky TV signal cut off, so I will have to watch the repeat of this match. Orton vs. Benoit was excellent I thought and a nice touch for the ending with Benoit and Orton shaking hands I defintiely agree with Jerry Lawler that this certianly was Bizarre-o world and hopefully Canada wont get another PPV in a long while. I hate to think what Raw and Smackdown this week will be like, which are both from Canada! Thankfully they can dub the crowd noise into Smackdown

(sorry if this has been posted before) Cheating Death, Stealing Life - The Eddie Guerrero Story Born into Mexico's first family of sports-entertainment, Eddie Guerrero's career choice was only natural. In the ring, Eddie was unbeatable. He was part of the most popular tag team in Mexico. Fans worldwide were captivated with his high-flying style. Soon, he moved to Japan and experienced similar success. After returning to the United States, Eddie faced a challenge he was not prepared for - addiction. Surviving a car accident that almost killed him, Eddie felt he was bulletproof, resulting in reckless behavior that put his life, career and marriage in jeopardy. Then it all fell apart. The true test of any man is how he handles adversity. In one of the most inspiring stories in the history of sports-entertainment, Eddie Guerrero not only regained his life, he surpassed his wildest dreams. This is his story. 5 hours of extras: Ten great matches: vs. Cactus Jack & Rock n Roll RPM's (AWA SuperClash III) Hair vs. Mask Match (When Worlds Collide) vs. Dean Malenko (ECW) vs. Chris Jericho (WCW Fall Brawl) vs. Rey Mysterio (WCW Halloween Havoc), vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. (WCW Bash at the Beach) vs. Rob Van Dam (Monday Night Raw) Triple Threat Elimination WWE Tag Team Championship (WWE Survivor Series 2002), vs. Chris Benoit (WWE Vengeance) vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE No Way Out) - Go behind-the-scenes with Eddie Guerrero shooting - TV commercial & magazine cover. - The Viva La Raza Vignettes - Special look at WrestleMania XX Shawn Michaels - Boyhood Dream In 1996, Shawn Michaels won the Royal Rumble for the second year in a row. It set the stage for the year that would see Shawn Michaels evolve into "The Showstopper, The Main Event". When he won the Iron Man match vs. Bret Hart at Wrestlemania XII, his boyhood dream of being WWE Champion was realised. Holding onto the dream took guts and determination. Featuring highlights from these matches matches from 1996: - Wrestelmania 12 vs Bret Hart - In Your House 7 (Good Friends, Better Enemies) vs Diesel - In Your House 8 (Beware of Dog) vs British Bulldog - In Your House 9 (International Incident) Shawn Michaels/Sycho Sid/Ahmed Johnson vs British Bulldog/Vader/Owen Hart - Summerslam 96 vs Vader - In Your House 10 (Mind Games) vs Mankind - Survivor Series 96 vs Sycho Sid - Royal Rumble 97 vs Sycho Sid There are also pictures of the covers on www.silvervision.co.uk

My favourite announcer has always been Gorilla Monsoon, with Ventura and Heenan in joint second. The worst will forever be Sean Mooney. I hate this guy! And about Mark Madden - from the very little footage of WCW i watched in 2000 I thought he was horrible. I think I remember Tank Abbot beating him up one time and being very happy about that

Shows how much attention I payed to Raw!
-
isnt Victoria the no. 1 contender anyway? Didn't she win a no. 1 contenders match at Vengeance but never got a title shot? Or have WWE completely forgot this happened. But then again should Trish have been stripped of the belt by now for not defending it within 30 days? Or did she and I missed it?

I'm trying to get all the commercials onto one tape, before the I actually tape the show itself. I have got 4 so far: 1) Batista and Kurt Angle 2) Just Batista 3) Stacy Keibler 4) Chavo Classic and Chavo Guerrero any more?
-
they have always done commentary at ringside in some form e.g for MSG shows and most PPVs and most Raw episodes. the only shows where they didnt were shows like Superstars and Challenge as they were never at ringside for any of those shows. But from 88 onwards they began dubbing in the commentary from Stamford and so the announccers weren't even there unless they filmed some type of angle that had to be at the announce table (e.g. Flair/Piper/Vince angle in 91)
-
3) The Hogan/Slaughter feud just continued over from WM7, and with Col. Mustafa now with Slaughter, Warrior was just added to the mix I think 4) Was this during the time when Bret and Shawn had a "real" fight in the locker room? 5) Won the Undertaker at Bad Blood in the HIAC match 6) When Ken Shamrock came in 97 and Vader first tapped out in an actual match. I think Billy Gunn was the first to "tap" 7) I doubt there was ever a singles match on TV between the two, so yes this is likely the only footage of a match between the two
-
funny how when someone posts this, nearly everyone believes it is true! Why would they release matches from 1998-2002 anyway? there is no purpose to release footage from these years anymore due to the heavy amount of editing WWE will NEVER EVER release anything like this to the public
-
i'd have to check my tapes this weekend. I remember one comparing Akeem's beard to the Bossman's mother in some way (which I forget) but I found hilarious
-
He said a LOT, on every WWF show for about two months he would make constant comments about Bossman's mother, most of which were hilarious, and Monsoon would get on his case all the time for it
-
well I am in the UK and so our Raw and Smackdown is different when it comes to the WWE commercials in between as most of ours are promoting the UK events. Hopefulyl we'll get these other commercials before August 15!
-
I jsut got an episode of WWE Confidential from September last year. During the show they showed a photoshoot with the 2003 diva search winner (forgot her name, and I completely forgot there was ever such a contest). I was wondering what happened to her? I don't recall ever seeing her on TV. And I guess was this an online only vote and only doen over the Internet as I dont remember Raw or SmackDown ever mentioning this contest at all.
-
Does anyone the name of the song used at the beginning of the show, and who sung it? It was played in the backgroudn of a b&w video basically showing the Austin/McMahon feud
-
it sounds like most of you people believe this list is completely tfact, but it isn't! Nothing has been confirmed yet, they could put anything on here really. They had better put some stuff from the original Hart Foundation in the 80s as they cant ignore it all surely?
-
i think it was for free Albano managed Andre between 84 and 86 i think including the Machines angle
-
nothing is cut, all Jesse's commentary is there and all mentions of "WWF" are included. Unfortunately all just copies of the original Coliseum videos so a lot of stuff is cut out. But in Europe we got the full VHS version of SummerSlam 88, and also the pre-PPV countdown shows for the mid 90s PPVs
-
and Sunday was the 4th of July and Heat STILL got a better rating than Velocity
-
i'd rather not mention the Heat commentators. Recently, we have been getting Todd Grisham and Marc Loyd provide commentary on the UK version of Heat (we dont get same version except for Live pre-PPV shows)
-
Hasnt Lawler been more on the heel side with Coach, when Coach has occasionally joined the announce team over the past 2 months or so? the only times I notice King commentating as a "face" is when there's a "serious injury" or something eg Shawn Michaels a few weeks back. And you have to admit he's not as bad now when talking about the women, he only seems to do it now and again. (btw I havent watched last weeks Raw yet, so if everything I just said turns out to be false then sorry about that!) Smackdown, I have no comment, I'm bored with EVERYTHING on that show
