    WWE.com Legacy

Plus, hear from your favorite Superstars as they discuss their matches heading into WrestleMania III. Don't forget Jan. 12 another episode of Wrestling Challenge airs on WWE.com Legacy Legacy of the Intercontinental Championship: Part XIX January 5, 2009 | Approx. run time: 54 mins. The Fink's Greatest Royal Rumble Matches Special - Part 1 January 5, 2009 | Approx. run time: 80 mins. The Fink, Howard Finkel, comes to you each week in January to relive his favorite Royal Rumble moments. Included are classic Rumble matches and title matches that made the event so memorable. This first part relives the first couple of the Royal Rumbles. Stay tuned for the next few weeks because not only will The Fink bring to you more classic Rumble moments, but he will also have exclusive interviews with WWE Superstars! Stay tuned for Jan. 12 when part 2 comes your way! MATCHES: Ron Garvin vs. Greg Valentine - Submission Match (Royal Rumble 1990) Rockin Robin vs. Judy Martin (Royal Rumble 1989) Dino Bravo's World Bench Press Attempt (Royal Rumble 1988) Royal Rumble Match from 1988 The Fink's Hall of Fame Selection: Harley Race vs. Haku January 15, 1989 | Approx. run time: 12 mins. AWA WrestleRock - Women's Battle Royal April 20, 1986 | Approx. run time: 13 mins. The ladies of the AWA battle it out to be the queen of the ring. SmackDown - 20 Man Battle Royal July 21, 2007 | Approx. run time: 24 mins. Earlier in the evening Edge was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship due to injury. Later on, 20 men competed in a battle royal for the championship. Who will reign SmackDown supreme as the new World Heavyweight Champion? Smokey Mountain Wrestling Rumble January 28, 1995 | Approx. run time: 15 mins. A true gem discovered in the WWE tape library. The Superstars of Smokey Mountain Wrestling competed in a Rumble match with entrants coming in every minute. While many of these men are not well known, keep a look out for the Rock 'N Roll Express and D-Lo Brown. They have the full Rumble 1988 show already so why the need to repeat two things from the show in the Fink's special is a bit strange - do we really need to see the Bravo Becnh Press again??

    Monday Night Wars

I always thought they did the announcing for the taped Raws actually live (or a very short delay) from the WWF studios on the Monday night, with obvious time cues as to when not to talk etc? Sometimes they reference things that happened in the news earlier that day or something about Nitro that was airing Live (which is how Cornette can reference Rude being on the other show). Another example was when they had the Owen/Bulldog match in Germany which went head to head with the Nitro where Piper brought out a bunch of people to fight like John Tenta in a total wreck of a segment which Jim Ross made reference of on the taped Raw the same night

Wrestling Challenge: Episode 23 February 8, 1987 | Approx. run time: 38 mins. One of the most memorable Piper Pit’s will be shown on this episode. Both Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant present, and one of the most shocking challenges Hulk Hogan ever hears takes place. Raw: Episode 55 March 21, 1994 | Approx. run time: 45 mins. Find out all the results from WrestleMania X on this episode of Raw. The WWE Champion will have an exclusive interview, but who is it? Don’t miss this post-WrestleMania X episode of Raw. Survivor Series 2003 - Team Bischoff vs. Team Austin November 16, 2003 | Approx. run time: 27 mins. The 2003 Survivor Series became quite personal for co-GMs Eric Bischoff and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. Both men built their own Survivor Series team and went head-to-head. The one major stipulation of that match was if Stone Cold’s team lost, he would have to step down as GM. Could The Rattlesnake’s team prevail or was this the final night Austin was in charge of Raw? A couple of the specials lineups: Legacy of Intercontinetal Championship Part XVII: 20-Man Battle Royal (Monday Night Raw 10/4/93) Razor Ramon vs. Rick Martel (Raw 10/11/93) Razor Ramon vs. Crush (Augusta, ME - Coliseum Video 12/15/93) Razor Ramon vs. IRS (Royal Rumble 1/22/94) Wrestling Hot Beds: Minnesota: Verne Gagne vs. Baron von Raschke - AWA World Title (no date given) Bob Backlund vs. Sgt. Slaughter - WWF World title (Madison Square Garden 5/23/83) Jesse Ventura vs. Dominic DeNucci (Madison Square Garden 1/18/82) Ravishing Rick Rude vs. Ultimate Warrior - WWF IC Title (WrestleMania V 4/2/89) Curt Hennig vs. Nick Bockwinkel (AWA 1987) I can't get the Fink Survivor Series special to work so don't know what we've got on there. Also interesting to note that they don't mute Vince introducing Randy Savage as a future WWF Hall of Famer during his entrance on the 2/21/94 Raw show (well WWF is muted) as I was expecting that to be edited out. Great lineup so far for this month anyway.

  21. Ydeah it's uring the main feature when they are showing clips from several Hart/Perfect matches, and one of the matches is from a Superstars of Wrestling taping in 1989 - and that's the banner that's blurred. I noticed on the packaging or booklet for the Hell in a Cell DVD that they have cut the "F" off on the old block logo in one of the photos which seems odd

Has anyone seen the Andre-Studd match on the Philadelphia 1983 show? Studd has Andre in a front facelock for literally 10 minutes or longer on the mat. Was Andre tired or something?

    Primetime Disscussion Thread

On the Primetime episode dated either 12-28-87 or 12-31-87 (I'm not certain which is the correct date) you guys are in luck as they show both the Vince "Stand Back" performance and the Duggan/Race brawl from the Slammys ALso the next episode (11-30-87) is the first show where they host it outside of the studio - I think Heenan and Monsoon are at Caesar's Palace if I recall correctly
