were there any Heat or Velocity matches taped?

    The Royal Rumble Legacy

Jerry Lawler in 96, it was hilarious when he hid under the ring for 20 minutes! Also to Lawler again in 97. It was also hilarious when he entered and was knocked straight back over by Bret!

    The Royal Rumble Legacy

    From memory - The Ironmen of the Rumble: 88 - Bret 89 - Perfect 90 - Dibiase 91 - Martel (with Valentine a close second, IIRC) 92 - Flair 93 - Backlund 94 - either HBK or Bigelow 95 - HBK / Bulldog 96 - HHH (with Bob Holly a close second) My memory gets fuzzy after there. From memory also: 97 - Austin 98 - The Rock 99 - Austin & Vince? (OK, maybe not) 00 - can't think of anyone 01 - Kane 02 - can't think of anyone 03 - Jericho & HBK? (I can't really remember) 04 - Benoit (of course!)

    2 Savage vs Michaels matches?

I believe the year in Review tapes were UK exclusives only which is a shame. I just got another UK exclusive tapes yesterday which had a Savage/Flair title match on from a TV taping in June 92, which was interesting to see, as I only thought there were 2 Savage/Flair matches (from WWF) that were ever on video or TV.

    WWF/E Tidbits from the past

I'm sure I remember reading that they taped interviews with Luger as the champion before WrestleMania X, after "winning" the title from Yokozuna and then after the interviews were taped the result fo the match was overturned. It was either that I remember of Luger stealing the belt from Cornette and then wearing the belt, anyone know if these are true?

Is a Wrestlemania DVD set coming out ?

why have they released stuff on DVD then with Jesse's commentary still intact, when the matches never were released on video previously? Which matches? Give me an example . . . i said one earlier in this topic if you read.... Also on Hulk Still Rules they showed Andre/Hulk vs Studd/Bundy from SNME. That was never shown on video

Is a Wrestlemania DVD set coming out ?

I believe they're allowed to use Jesse's voice on stuff that's already been released on home video, but i'm not certain. on Foley's DVD they also edited the WWF "Jack Foley" squash match with Jesse's commentary. and they have released several things on DVD that were never on video before with Ventura's commentary e.g. Rockers debut match

    Six-Disc HULKAMANIA DVD Set?

when? I only remember Lawler goofing up during the Angle/Edge hair vs. hair match and saying WWF. I don't recall anyone else doing it, especially JR EDIT - I remember Hogan doing it one time as well, but that was on a Smackdown and they didnt even edit it out... and actually I do remember JR saying it one time but he didnt say it by accident or anything, he said "for the Then WWF Title" (I think he was talking about Shawn vs Bret at WM12?)

    Eddy/JBL 2004 MOTY

thats how you Americans spell it. In the Uk (and maybe Australia and somewhere else?) its "Judgement" http://www.silvervision.co.uk/product.asp?...WWE1079&recno=8 So on that. I also have huge doubts that this can touch Eddy/Brock, either. Yeah, the title of it in the U.S was "Judgment Day" so they are not going to change it. I'm not saying its spelled wrong, in the UK its spelled different as a word (e.g in the dictionary) King of like how you guys spell "color" and we spell it "Colour" Understand?

    Six-Disc HULKAMANIA DVD Set?

yeah I realise that, I was saying they showed footage from the 92 Rumble on Byte This last week but didnt edit the "Hulkster" comment, but then again didn't Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler say just "Hulkster" during the Eugene match at New Years Revolution? mayeb they can use the term "Hulkster" and just not "Hulk Hogan"

    Six-Disc HULKAMANIA DVD Set?

later in the show, they showed footage from the 92 Rumble, and they didn't edit when Monsoon said on commentary "Hulkster" and also when Ric Flair was on the phone later in the show, he said the initials "WWF" several times and I was surprised they weren't edited out as I didn't watch the show live.

    WWF/E Tidbits from the past

I just noticed this today, but on the WWF Superstars episode airing between Survivor Series 91 and Tuesday in Texas, they said the Barbarian would face Bret Hart for the IC Title and kept hyping it for the whole show, but then with no explanation at the PPV he wrestled Skinner instead (I don't remember an explanation anyway) (Barbarian was at Tuesday in Texas show so he wasn't a no show or injured, as Barbarian wrestled the Berzerker in a match that later aired on Prime Time)

    The Old School questions thread

from memory they first showed it at Survivor Series 97 at the end of one of those videos they would do. It wasn't in the corner of the screen until the Rumble 98 PPV

    Roddy Piper

Piper was scheduled to start doing Piper's Pit on a regular basis again after Wrestlemania 8. I believe a few of these were taped as well, with Randy Savage & Elizabeth and also the Brooklyn Brawler. From what I know the Savage one was previewed to air one week but never did. I guess they didn't air maybe because Piper was fired as I'm sure I remember him being scheduled for the European Tour in April 92, but he never appeared.

    1/2/05 Heat Topic

Regal & Eugene have been facing Christian & Tomko in recent house shows. and will at New Year's Revolution. And for whoever asked the ring announcer for Heat was Jason Roberts (or is it Justin?) (he did Raw as well, so I guess Lilian was busy)

    WON January 14th 1991

would anyone be interested if I wrote up some of my observers from the 80s and then posted them here? (I have four I think) Please reply here if so and then if there is enough replies I'dd write them up. (I would scan them or whatever was done here but don't have a scanner! and plus will have a lack of things to do next week so I can type some up then )

What was the feud going into these matches?

about a month after WM5, there was a scheduled bout with Jake & DiBiase, but DiBiase said he had the flu, and let Virgil take his place. After the bout I believe Jake was attacked by DiBiase who clearly didn't have flu. This was the alleged reason for Jake's absence (he was still on TV about a month after this, they decided to use this as why he was off TV as I think he was arrested for attacking a fan or something?) DiBiase would then on TV always brag about putting Jake out of action and they would even do a Get Well soon address for Jake. I'm not exactly sure what happened for the rest of the feud as I haven't seen it but I believe it was also aprt of the reason the Big Boss Man turned face... For Quake/Hogan, Earthquake attacked Hogan on Brother Love with several of those sit down splashes. Hogan was then off TV about 3 months and they did the same type fo deal with Get Well soon addresses etc. I believe actually during this time Hogan was filming Surburban Commando. (or another move maybe?)

    HEAT!

I can’t believe you guys got JR on the U.S version! On the UK version they had Coach and Marc Loyd!! Where is Grisham anyway? Is he ill or been fired? (hopefully both are true)

Things that were supposed to happen but didn't

why does everyone say that? At the TV taping recorded 5/12 in Anaheim, during at least 1 match (Beefcake's I think which aired 6/6). Vince, Bruno and Jesse all discuss the following week's title match with Honky & Steamboat, which was taped 6/3. Now, I'm pretty sure the commentary for the match was recorded live, (they would never dub in commentary by Bruno afterwards I'm sure, as they always did live commentary for TV tapings, and began dubbing them in shortly after Bruno left) so I don't understand why everyone says Butch Reed was scheduled to win the title?

    Old School Randy Savage Questions

looking on the History of WWE site, Savage was still regularly wrestling on house shows and dark matches at TV tapings throughout 93, with a couple of the matches been released on video, and the Raw match with Doink in August. He was also in the IC Title Battle Royal in October I believe
