  2. In my little mall sojourn today, i played the Wii (over in the other thread), also saw a Ps3 in action though didn't play it. It was some dirtbike/dirt-car game. Have no idea what the actual game was.

    Motorstorm.

I have to say, the graphics were outstanding, though I think it was being run an HDTV (it musta been, right? dont they look less impressive on normal res TVs). I just stood there staring at it, it was like photorealistic.

I wouldn't say photorealistic. It still looks like a video game. Just a very pretty one.

I think it was being run an HDTV (it musta been, right? dont they look less impressive on normal res TVs).

It definitely was--all of the PS3 stuff is being shown on HDTVs, just like the 360 displays.

Problem is, not many folks who will be getting a PS3 are going to see graphics anything like that in their own homes.

There really is no reason to buy a 360 or Ps3 unless you have a HDTV, those systems were built for hi-def Tv's. It's not the same without them.

  3. Well, Vince doesn't like shattering kayfabe on UT's deadman character. It's why he wasn't on RAW is OWEN and why he's exempt from the dress code.

I imagine having someone called 'The Undertaker' on a show dedicated to someone who died would be in horribly poor taste as well.

Well we are talking about Vince McMahon here.

  4. I was impressed by Kopitar last night. He's gonna be a good one.

Crosby and Malkin were both on fire last night, it's scary. That call in OT was a bit weak, but I will take it.

7 goals in 6 games for Malkin, and the Pens have won 5 in a row for the first time in a lonnnnnnnnnng time.

  5. In absolutely staggeringly surprising news, Ed Belfour caused a disturbance in a South Florida nightclub, leading to Alex Auld getting three stitches in his head.

In the article, he says that he and Auld were "horsing around" with each other at almost 330 in the morning. But he hadn't had ANY alcohol that night. Riiiiight, Eddie. You'd have to bribe me to believe that...wait, bad choice of words there. I've never known anyone sober to be "horsing around" with another guy at 3 in the morning unless they were drunk, high or a fag.

    Eddie is fantastic!!!

    :D :D

  6. Skull, if you've noticed people like myself and Leena post about our teams and usually what they're doing well/wrong.

You seemed to be taunting us with the fact that we weren't constantly crowing about Crosby, Malkin, etc. with the ____, eh?

You came off as if gloating when none of us were even questioning if the guys you mentioned were any good or not.

It was just a joke, sorry if it came off the wrong way.

Anyhow I haven't had much to gloat about in the last 5 years or so, so this is a welcome change.

The Pens have problems though, no doubt. The defense needs to play better, Fleury can't stand on his head the whole year. They need to get some other production from players not named Crosby or Malkin.

The playoffs are still a long way away, but I'm just a bit happy that I have a competitive hockey team going into November, something that hasn't happened in almost 5 years.

There will be some bumps along the road though no doubt, probably starting this coming week when the Pens head out west to take on La/SJ/Anaheim.

  7. That Crosby kid is pretty good, eh?

That Malkin kid ain't no slouch either, eh?

Oh and Fleury seems to be respectable this year, eh?

This has been alot of fun watching this team grow up. After 5 years of futility, it's exciting watching the Pens again. There will be some bumps in the road, but being on the other end of a 8-2 beatdown was alot of fun.

    Yes we get it.

    Your a Penguins fan.

We aren't ignoring how great Crosby, Malkin or the Penguins are.

    Shut up.

Why the hostility? I didn't post anything out of the norm that has been going on with any other team in this thread.
