Butch Davis was just able to recruit well and started the big name players from the 2001 team (Dorsey, Shockey, Portis, McKinnie, Reed) early so they gained experience. Penn State is down now, so whoever is Paterno's successor will be vital to if they can make a return to elite status. Going to the Big Ten really hurt them as Ohio State and Michigan have made inroads to get Pennsylvania recruits, while PSU hasn't done that well in the Midwest at recruiting.

Jayson Stark said on CSN last night that he thinks the top 3 candidates to take over are Charlie Manuel, Grady Little, and Mike Hargrove. Mikey was at my school on Thursday giving a lecture and from what I heard from people, it seems he's trying to use scare tactics to get college kids to vote for Kerry. Agreed about tuition hikes, mine just went up to $7000 a year and will go up again next year most likely, what with inviting Mikey and all the construction that takes place around here. This is why New Jersey blows donkey cock when it comes to college tuition.
