Well as a Philadelphia fan.....I can only attain this loss to the jinx the city's been in since 1983(Since Smarty Jones is a Philly horse) Oh well,I can look foward to David Akers going Wide Right and the Eagles losing ANOTHER NFC title game this year.

Man Game 7s are nerve wrecking. Hopefully Esche decides not to channel Dan Cloutier tonight. -
MLB- Camden Yards. Went there years ago and I still remember how nice it was. Good to see CBP in Philly based off it. NFL- Lincoln Financial Field. Homer pick. Extremely nice. NHL & NBA - Madison Square Garden. Nothing like the Garden. College football- Ben Hill Griffin Stadium(Florida)- A friend of mine was able to get Florida/Florida State tickets last year when I visited him for Thanksgiving. WOW. Great atmosphere.

Good win for the Flyers today. Game 5 will be pivotal in this series, I feel whoever wins that game is winning the series. Man what a great day for Philly. Phils win and move into a tie for 1st, Flyers tie up the ECF, and Smarty Jones just blows everyone out in the Preakness. -
Phillies up 10-4 on Colorado in the 6th right now. With Florida's loss today, if they Phils hold on and win, there will be a tie for first in the NL East. Not bad considering the 1-6 start.

Your teams biggest heartbreaking moment
therealworldschampion replied to Vern Gagne's topic in Sports
Phillies- I know about 1964, but I wasn't alive for that. All I will say is, there is a place in hell waiting for Joe Carter, and for Jim Fregosi for putting a fatigued Williams in. Eagles- 2003 NFC Championship game. They had pretty much owned the Bucs before this game, and the Bucs' breakthrough came at the worst time. Flyers- Blowing a 3-1 lead against the Devils in the 2000 ECF, the most signficant moment being Scott Stevens giving Eric Lindros concussion #4295. Sixers- Hmm. I would probably have to say getting absolutely killed by the Celtics in Game 5 of the first round back in 2000. -
I hate the fact that SOS is being taken out of the equation now. I know SC got screwed last year because of the schedule, but that wasn't really their fault, as Auburn completely flamed out and Notre Dame had a down year. That really hurts LSU and Georgia this year in the BCS poll.

You have to remember though that the SIDs usually fill out those coaches poll ballots since they have to be in early Sunday morning.

Phils win 4-3 today to take 2 of 3 from the Giants. Next up is Colorado, which should be an easier series for the Phils.

One of my favorite parts of the Flair DVD is Bobby Heenan's commentary during the RR '92 match. He seriously sounded like he was going to have a stroke. In honor of the Brain,I'd like to post some of his more classic quotes. Feel free to add on.... "You know what 'arriba' means?"-Heenan "No, what?"-Gorilla "It means 'Swim faster, the border guards are coming" - Heenan "You ever say hello to Tatanka?"-Heenan "Yes"-Gorilla "Did you do it properly?"-Heenan "Yes"-Gorilla "You mean you went Hey-how-are-you,hey-how-are-you..."-Heenan "You know the state of New York could have them legally condemned"-Heenan about the Bushwhackers and Jameson

That goal sure as hell woke the Sharks up -
Well usually you don't hear him talk while ESPN is blowing him

I remember this line when Stu was wearing the Bruins Jacket: "Oh isn't that nice? He has a picture of Helen on the back of his jacket" Also on the Hulk Still Rules DVD, Vince's gay cracks about the Genius during the Hogan/Perfect match are great.

Sad news, I always found him to be entertaining. Get well soon John.

Flyers got what they needed in Tampa, a split. Now if they can take both games in Philly, they'll be in great shape. Then again, look what happened last time they were up 3-1 in a conference final -

Good Lord its 5-0 Flyers. Are they going for 7 again? -
There are reports out of San Francisco that the 49ers have contacted Kordell Stewart and have started contract negotiations. Apparently, Dennis Erickson does not want to wait for June 1st to get a QB, because he wants the free agent to learn the playbook as quickly as possible. Kordell in SF?? *Insert joke here*

Phils are on the road this week at San Francisco on Tuesday-Thursday, and at Colorado for the weekend. Hopefully the success they had in the D'Backs series will carry over to this week.

Great Heenan quotes
therealworldschampion replied to therealworldschampion's topic in General Wrestling
At This Tuesday In Texas in 1991 Monsoon: "We're about to have a match at a place where a very big fight took place about 150 years ago...." Heenan: "Know why there were only 300 Mexicans at the Alamo?" Monsoon: "No. Why?" Heenan: "They only had one car." -
Who is your teams greatest player of all time?
