Hey cabbageboy, it's the matchup you've dreamed about on ESPN, Louisville vs. Pitt!
-
At least you didn't have to be there in person. Wachovia Center was absolutely dead today compared to the Texas and Pitt games, and there was that 7 minute stretch where Nova couldn't hit anything. That was back-to-back bad games by Reynolds, hopefully it's just him being a freshman. The next 3 games are a bit easier with St. Joe's at home, Seton Hall on the road, and Cincy at home. We absolutely need to win all 3 and get to 18-7 with the stretch of Georgetown, @Marquette, Rutgers, @UConn, and Syracuse as the last 5 games. They should beat Rutgers, probably lose at Marquette, and probably need to get 2 against the other 3 teams, which would put them at 21-9 and probably only needing one win in MSG to nail down an at-large. I think we can pull a win out in Storrs possibly because UConn isn't too great this year.

Nova beat U of L today. Looked like total crap at times though, but we needed that one after the close loss to Pitt and the ref screwjob at ND. Now comes the jackasses from City Avenue in what is their Final Four, Super Bowl, World Series, and Armageddon all wrapped into one, the Holy War on Tuesday night. I can't wait to be in the student section chanting "Nova rejects" at the SJU section for what should be a nice win.

*Awaits cabbageboy meltdown*
-
Lampley went to the Brett Myers school of dealing with women. BTW, why did Brett Myers beat his wife after dinner? She was crowding the plate.
-
Unlikely, the main reason Schiano didn't take the Miami job is that he's probably waiting for Paterno to retire so he can get the PSU job. Minnesota job search will be interesting, funny that they're doing two buyouts with Mason and Monson this year.
-
Don't forget Ron Dayne who went to Wisconsin, Irving Fryar who left for Nebraska, Glenn Foley to BC, and Tony Sacca in the early 90s who spurned Rutgers for PSU. If cabbageboy should be mad at anyone, it should be Louisville for choking that lead away in the Rutgers game.

I thought it would be deeper on big men this year. Oden, Kevin Durant, Brandin Wright, Noah, Al Horford, Aaron Gray, Thabeet from UConn if he leaves early, and some Euros. I would much rather have Brandin Wright or Kevin Durant than Noah if they come out this year. I would say Oden first, then Durant, then Wright as preferable options. They'll also likely have the first or second pick of the second round, so those 3 picks could be used as a package to try and move up.
-
Good God, Eskin is more unbearable than he's ever been on WIP today due to his #1 enemy getting traded. Another note is that the Sixers now will have 4 of the first 35 picks in the draft this year. If they can luck out into getting Oden and package two of those other picks into moving up for a power forward in the teens, they are basically set for the future.
-
They won't have actual cap flexibility until the end of next year when Webber's contract comes off the books.
-
I actually like the trade. Miller can be either used to play with Iguodala and Carney for the next couple years or he could possibly be traded with a pick to try and move up in this draft.
-
I'll agree with strummer, a lot of it was the playcalling today and lack of execution by the Giants offense. You can't keep going into the red zone and only coming out with field goals.
-
Look! The first jackass who wants McNabb to be benched next year. Shut the fuck up. I'm just asking the regulars' opinion about something that may happen next year, knowing how fickle Philly can be. Don't be angry because your overrated piece of garbage QB couldn't get it done today, much like his overrated brother can't get it done either.
-
Something I was thinking about after the Eagles game. Say the Eagles make the playoffs, win a game, and go down fighting in the divisionals. How short will McNabb's leash be when he comes back next year and has the inevitable bad game after how Garca played this year?
-
They have the 6th seed (which the 4th, 5th and 6th will all be useless) you jackass. And the Eagles have a schedule that does not favor them. I don't think next week will be a win, but I think they'll beat Atlanta in Philly. Definite must-win next week for the Giants with the Saints coming to town.
-
Nothing would make me happier than a win in Dallas next week, along with another sideline meltdown by Attention Whore.

I love when officials feel the need to get their faces on TV as much as humanly possible.

So apparently Owens spit on DeAngelo Hall. Classy guy that one...
-
Apparently according to CSN, Billy King has been consulting with LARRY BROWN on all potential Iverson deals. Sweet, maybe we can trade AI for Tyrone Hill and Derrick Coleman. Friggin unbelieveable...
-
I am very much enjoying this game.

My boys are owning Dama's boys right now on ESPN. Fun times...
-
The best thing about this is that I'm friends with both a Florida alum and a Michigan alum at school.....they're likely going to be at each other's throats tomorrow until 8 pm.

what'd he say? I heard them mention Paterno, but I was playing a computer game at the time, thus my focus wasn't all there. That Penn St. was afraid to play Pittsburgh. The decomposing corpse of Joe Paterno still has more coaching ability than Dave Wannstedt. -
I got a nice package today for Nova's Wachovia Center games. $150 in the lower level for the games against Texas, Louisville, Pitt, Georgetown and Syracuse. Unfortunately I'm going to need a lot of luck to get tickets for the Holy War in February since the law school only gets 50 tickets for the lottery when games are at the Pavilion.
