Leave the Big XII out of this. They have at least one legit Top 10 team every year, usually 2 with OU and Texas, and they produce national champions in other sports as well. It's a good football conference that is down right now. But it's nowhere near as bad as the Big East. Don't even try that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They also have the fattest coach in the country... Sorry, but he makes Phil Fulmer look like a fitness model compared to him...

Great win last night for PSU. Michigan will be tough next week in Ann Arbor since Michigan has to win or they might be looking at an under .500 season, but if PSU gets out of there with a win, I think 9-2 or 10-1 is a real possibility. I don't know about anyone else but I love that top traditional programs (Penn State, Alabama, Notre Dame, USC, Texas) are having great years. Makes college football more fun for me as a fan. I think if PSU wins the Big Ten this year, Joe might decide to finally call it quits... I think there's a good chance of Tennessee being 7-4 this year, with the Alabama and Notre Dame games still coming up for them.

That would be an affront to Bo so Michigan shouldn't even think about it. But seriously, Michigan needs to try and get Lloyd thinking about retirement. They need an innovator for a coach, like Petrino or Hawkins, not another "Michigan Man"...

It's going to be extremely interesting if Texas and Virginia Tech both finish undefeated, especially if Virginia Tech beats an undefeated Florida State in the ACC Championship game.. On one hand you have Texas. Big wins would be against Texas Tech, who should be top 20, A&M in College Station who should be ranked, and winning in Columbus against Ohio State, a win that will count even more if OSU finishes 10-1. On the other hand there's Virgina Tech, top wins would be over Miami, Georgia Tech, Boston College and Virginia, all who will probably be ranked. Count in the ACC Championship if they beat an undefeated FSU, who would probably be #4 in the polls. Texas has the #2 ranking and the win in Columbus against OSU, but VT played the tougher conference and may have a better win depending on what FSU's record is if they meet in the ACC Championship. Tough choice...

I thought you were going somewhere to watch this game.

Texas has been playing tight ever since their first TD, 3 fumbles and the 3rd one got recovered by Oklahoma. 7-6 Texas. And just as I make this post Texas scores on a long TD run, 14-6.

I actually want to see Tennessee win tomorrow because their game against Alabama will be even bigger then, already adding to the Holy War-like atmosphere that game will have in Tuscaloosa in 2 weeks.

I'd just like to say how much bullshit it is that the Philadelphia market has to watch Minnesota get blown out by Michigan rather than OU-Texas...

The weather in Dallas can get cold at times in January and February. IIRC, the 1979 Cotton Bowl, which was the famous Montana comeback game for Notre Dame, was played in an ice storm.

If Dusty started referring to USA Network as "The Mothership", it'd be hilarious... -
They're right. The first 15 minutes of the game is going to tell a great deal. If Texas comes out and marches up and down the field on Oklahoma, they should win comfortably. However, if Texas comes out and plays sloppy, giving the ball away, it will lead to them becoming tight and that's definitely an advantage for Oklahoma. This isn't like the Rose Bowl or the Ohio State game for Texas in which they could go out and play loose because they were considered a sort of underdog, this is against a school and a coach that has pretty much owned them this century. Texas has to go out and play well to win this game. If they do, they should win.

Dama did you happen to catch the 100th anniversary special on Red River Shootout on ESPN Classic? If you haven't I suggest you do, it's quite good.

Dude what is it with all you people trying to draw me into going crazy? It's like you complain about me but then try to say as many things as possible to make me go over the edge. Sheesh. Anyway if OU wins I probably won't have much to say b/c I'll be in a state of utter shock. Although OU's confidence is really riding high after the KSU game. They'll do what they usually do to Vince Young. Shut down the running game and force him to throw. Unfortunately Ohio State showed us that that plan of action doesn't exactly work anymore. If OU wins then Mack Brown has to admit that Bob Stoops has his number. If Texas wins then it's kind of bittersweet. Yeah they finally beat OU but it was their best team in years beating OU's worst team in years. I just know I'm going to get a prime spot at the bar on Saturday and enjoy what hopefully will be a better game than it has been in recent years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If OU wins Mack Brown should immediately resign. They CANNOT lose to Oklahoma this year with the type of team they have.

Concerning the RRS we're damned if Texas wins because Dama will pimp them for the Rose Bowl, and damned if OU wins because I can see Dama on here going all Jim Ross-like with "SOONERS!!! SOONERS!!! SOONERS BAH GAWD!!!" OSU/PSU should be a good one. If PSU wins they're in the race for te Big Ten title.

Yeah that's probably the only way I'd trade Bobby is if we're getting a #1 pitcher in return. And even then you have to consider if the #1 pitcher is a good fit for the ballpark. As for Thome I could see a team like the Angels taking on his contract, seeing as Artie Moreno is not against spending money and it seems like a team he'd waive the no-trade clause for.

You'll love this Al. Eskin was on WIP today railing on Abreu about his strikeouts and yelling about how he needs to be traded...

$112 for the test fee, but you're likely going to have to drop at least $200 for prepping (practice tests, prep books, a course if you want to take it)... For me it was worth spending that kind of money, as I think I did pretty well. Of course the fucking results don't come for 3 weeks -
I don't know why but I love that Jerry Jones VCast commercial...
