    NFL Opening Week 2005

OK a TD can win this game. The offense looks horrible with their timing though.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

I can't believe they're still in this game.

God he'll sound even worse next year on NBC. God help whoever the play-by-play man will be.

What in the everloving hell is Madden talking about? Run Duckett.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

I think Atlanta was seriously pumped for this game, mostly because of they wanted to use this as a litmus test of where they were at. If this was the AFC, I'd be extremely worried. Oh fucking Christ, they fucking fumble just as I'm trying to defend them.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

They always look like shit in the first game. 2001 they got beat by the Rams in the first game, 2002 they blew a lead against the Titans, 2003 they got shutout by the Bucs. I'd say make an evaluation of them probably in Week 6 after they've gotten a few games under their belt.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Oh Christ, the comedy continues. I have never seen so many blown chances in an opposing teams' territory like I have seen in this game.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

The Eagles problem tonight has been that they've been getting dominated in the trenches, a marked difference from January where they were getting tons of push against the Falcons' DL and giving McNabb tons of time. Trotter not being there hurts too, as they've had to rely on a second year guy and Mark Fucking Simoneau, who must have compromising pictures of Reid and Jeff Lurie to still be on the team.

This Week in College Football 9/15 - 9/17

I really don't know who will win the Florida-Tennessee game. Had UT put up a better performance against UAB, I'd be more confident in their chances to win in Gainesville, but this isn't Ron Zook he's going up against.

I really can't explain Akers' shitty performance tonight. He usually kicks well in the Linc, which may have replaced the Meadowlands for worst winds in the NFL. Something isn't right with him, he was kicking bad in the preseason too. Kickers might be the most mentally fragile players in football, if they go on a streak of misses they sometimes can turn into headcases.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Ugh I hate missed field goals, it'd be 14-13 if it wasn't for Akers totally losing his head. Well it could be worse right now, onl 14-7 at halftime and it looks like Atlanta's offense is cooling off. They need to make some adjustments on the passing game at halftime.

Jesus Christ did Akers go visit Florida State or something?

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Nice 2 sacks there, defense is finally getting some pressure. Reid needs to call some screen plays to Westbrook, as Ed Donatell is doing the same thing that Dick LeBeau did last year in the Pittsburgh game, which is send tons of pressure. Offense is starting to roll, this may be the turning point.

    NFL General Hospital

That Jenkins injury hurts Carolina badly. Now teams can double Julius Peppers without worrying about Jenkins on the inside.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Allright, 3rd and 16. Why do you call a screen to the fullback? Especially when the fullback is a terrible runner? Throw it to Westbrook who has some speed.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Westbrook scores a TD, 14-7. They can't allow another score here or they're in deep trouble. Hubie Brown is there in the booth, I want some upside comments.

Shit Atlanta will get a TD here Check that, they got one 7-0

    NFL Opening Week 2005

What the fuck are they chanting? "Whoomp There it is"?? What the hell is this, 1993? You know between that pregame shit, the spear on McNabb, and the frontrunner fanbase, I'm really starting to hate the Falcons...

Shit better not be, my fantasy team might be REALLY dead with Javon Walker being gone for the year already...

    NFL Opening Week 2005

I love them trying to say that Atlanta has such a home-field advantage when this is the same city that can't sell out World Series games and let Cubs fans take over their stadium in the playoffs 2 years ago. DAWKINS~! picks off Ron Mexico!

Kevin Mathis is a nobody and they obviously set that up. Trotter did not throw a punch. If Buddy was still coaching the Eagles, he would've started Bounty Bowl II.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Marty is truly an idiot. They had a timeout left, why not take a shot at running Tomlinson? And thank the Chargers for suspending Antonio Gates since he would've been perfect in that situation.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

I still didn't think of them as a SB contender because their head coaching was still very suspect despite the acquisitions.

Yeah, real Super Bowl contender up there in Minnesota Peter King...
