Ugh Kotite. Eagles started 7-2 in 1994 and finished 7-9 thanks to some of his moronic decisions. Then he goes to the Jets and has a 3-13 season followed up by that 1-15 debacle with more talent. Dallas won't contend for the NFC East as long as the Eagles are still on their run, which should be for a few more years. Jerry also needs to keep having good drafts so he can keep Dallas stocked with that young talent which should really pay off once the Eagles' top players (McNabb, Dawkins, Owens, Kearse) start showing their age. -
Don't bunch the entire city together for a mistake that idiot Angelo Cataldi and his Retard Thirty(Yes I know it's "Dirty Thirty" Philly people, but they're fucking morons). Real Eagle fans knew the team needed a QB, Duce Staley had a 1,000 yard season already, and they weren't going anywhere with Koy Detmer or Doug Pederson as the starting QB. Those morons got all stirred up thanks to the head idiot Cataldi and decided to give the entire city a black eye for their stupid decision. Reid is set as Eagles HC for as long as he wants to be it, no matter what the jackasses on WIP say.

I disagree. Michael Vick remids me way more of Randall. Whereas Randall was impatient and would take off running, Donovan has a lot more patience in the pocket now than he used to. -
I'm starting to liken this whole TO thing to the whole Eric Lindros dilemma in 2000 when they Flyers were up 3-1 on the Devils. After he came back, all karma turned against them and they ended up losing the series 4-3 and Lindros got another concussion. I get that whole vibe out of this for some reason.

I'll take the Eagles if pinjockey doesn't want to have them again this year.

I'd like to compare the possible celebrations for both the cities. I imagine Boston will have a pretty decent celebration for the win if it happens, but I guess it won't come near the kind of parade they had for the Red Sox back in October. And Philly.....well let's just say remember the 2002 Ohio State riots? God the city might get burned down. I imagine they could probably have 3 to 4 million people at the parade if they win. -
You could always scalp some seats.....but UNC-Duke would be quite expensive........

Just think of it this way, if the Eagles win, Mike Holmgren is validated even more as another one of his famed 1992 asisstants will win a Super Bowl(Gruden being the first.) Another thing about Reid is that in Philly, he's basically on the same level as Vermeil now in Philly. A Super Bowl win probably finally erases the Vermeil shadow that has likely hung over all Eagles coaches after him. -

Just for kicks, I went to expedia.com and saw how much airfare would be from Philly to Jacksonville...........$430 is the cheapest -

Oh come on, the city's gone nearly 22 years now without a championship, we need one dammit! Of all the cities with 4 major sports teams, Philadelphia has gone the longest without a title. Hell I'm 21 now and none of my teams (Eagles, Phils, Sixers, Flyers) have ever won a championship. And the Saints being anywhere near the Super Bowl would be so wrong on so many levels. -

I think you can dismiss both teams' bad performances this year (Eagles at Cleveland, New England at Miami), because this is one game for the championship. It's not like a best-of-7 series where the more talented team eventually wins, any team could have one player (say Daniel Graham for the Pats or Todd Pinkston for the Eagles) who just have a huge game and win it. -

For the Pats fans here, how truly crazy will it get up there in the next 2 weeks? I imagine it will get amped there, but not anywhere near what it was when the Red Sox went to the World Series back in October. Over here in Philly, its getting nuts already. Tons of people went out into the streets and all last night and there's likely a shitload of people going down to Jacksonville from Philly next week. -

Don't forget about L.J. Smith either, he's been better than Lewis all year and has become the #1 TE now. I just worry with Lewis out that Reid can't run many of his 2 TE set plays. Oh and being at school was so great today seeing all of the Giants and Cowboy fans basically in hiding and acting like sniveling shits. -

Well I guess Dama has alienated everyone so I'll just put my thoughts in on what the Eagles need to do. Against the Patriots offense I think the key will be the secondary against the Patriot receivers. I'm confident that the Eagles' run defense can do a good job against Dillon, so I think how they defending Brady's passes is going to be key. Against the Patriot D, the receivers have to play well. Reid can't go into his old dink-n-dunk West Coast offense because the Pats front seven will neutralize those kind of plays. Greg Lewis and Todd Pinkston are both going to be key in being able to get down the field. Belichick will definitley have something planned for McNabb and Westbrook, so this will be a tough battle. -
Get a shutdown corner and don't depend on Al "Throw The Flag" Harris if you want an improved Packer defense next year. Packers should make a run at Fred Smoot in the offseasn.

Creating the thread now.....I just went out in the snow and got the beer and wings and chips and all Unfortunately I'm stuck down at the NJ shore watching the game. Had it been a nicer weekend weather-wise I would've been up in Philly probably at one of the many bars in the area.

Man Rush is going to be taking some abuse on his show tomorrow, between McNabb getting to the Super Bowl and his Steelers getting eliminated......
