Auburn is up 14-0 now.

I'll start with my team, Philadelphia Eagles...... Offense: The offense is pretty much set for next year at the skill positions, but there could be some offensive line shuffling. Either Tra Thomas or Jon Runyan will be gone after this year, as the Eagles will look to get younger at the offensive line. My guess is Runyan, since he's older and they drafted Shawn Andrews to eventually replace him. Jermane Mayberry I think is a free agent as well, he's probably gone. Chad Lewis is a free agent, but I have a feeling that he may come back for the veteran minmum since there probably won't be much of a market for him. Freddie Mitchell is a free agent as well, there's a better chance of him being gone since he's been reportedly complaining about not having passes thrown his way and since Greg Lewis was signed to an extension, my guess is that Lewis will eventually will be the slot receiver. Draft-wise, I could see the Eagles taking a RB to split carries with Westbrook or another O-lineman to replace whoever leaves. Defense: On the defensive line, Corey Simon is most likely gone after this year, since he'll probably ask for a ton of money after having an absolute shit year, and since the coaching staff has been playing Sam Rayburn more and more, I think the writing is on the wall for Corey. Derrick Burgess will be a free agent, if there's not much of a market for him he'll be back. At the linebacker position, reportedly the Eagles want to bring Trotter back, so hopefully they can get a deal hammered out early. My hope is that they'll finally send Simoneau packing, but since he probably has dirty pictures of Andy Reid and Jim Johnson, he'll probably be back. This is a position I'd like to see them address in the draft maybe in the second round. Cornerbacks are locked up, and hopefully Michael Lewis' extension is finished soon. Overall, the Eagles should be set for another run next year.

It's happened in the Big 12 before. Remember 1996, I think Texas was 7-4 and they beat 10-1 Nebraska in the Big XII title game and went to the Fiesta Bowl. Screwed Nebraska over in the process because had Nebraska won that game, they would've played Florida State for the national championship.

I'm joking, it's a play off of the whole Limbaugh controversy from ESPN.

I never saw AngleSault as a "white man" ever....ever

Was it made by a fat man in a black Stetson?
-
I'm taking it one game at a time in the playoffs, hell it's just not the Eagles that have the choking tendency, the whole goddamn city has it (Phillies in 1993, Flyers in the 90s, Smarty Jones)

*cheap shot*Heh so says the Browns fan...

NE scares the ever-loving hell out of me because Belichick always has something planned for an opposing offense, no doubt he will have a plan for McNabb and Owens. Indy would be a shootout.

So Bonds admits to using steriods "Unknowingly"

Oh man I can't WAIT for PTI today and Wilbon trying to defend Bonds on this one.... -
I'll kinda miss Jerome From Manhattan II(WFAN listeners know who I'm talking about), because of his amazing ability to pin every Yankee problem on Jeff Weaver.

Breaking News: Urban Meyer accepts Florida job
therealworldschampion replied to therealworldschampion's topic in Sports
If I was Notre Dame, I would seriously take a long look at Rick Neuheisel. He was cleared of any wrongdoing in that NCAA investigation with that whole basketball pool flap, and the man can recruit and flat out coach. -

I think the buyout was $250,000. Florida will probably cover that. ND probably will look at someone like Dan Hawkins of Boise State now. -
Man first Marv Albert lost Van Gundy as a color man, now Fratello. I don't think Steve Kerr is going to be a head coach too is he?
-
I read an article today, it was on either ESPN.com or CBS Sportsline about the ND alumni and why they didn't want Willingham. It mentioned the intensity that prior coaches had (Ara Parseghian, Lou Holtz, even Gerry Faust), and how the alumni and boosters loved that kind of coach while they pretty much fumed for six years while Dan Devine was the coach, Devine being a much more reserved, brooding type of coach. I tend to agree with this article, as it seemed as if Notre Dame had gotten another Dan Devine in Willingham when the alumni and boosters all wanted another Parseighan or Holtz, not just the successes, but the fire and intensity that these two had.

-I like Brent Musberger calling games -I like Steven A Smith -I think Michael Irvin is the only reason to watch Sunday NFL Countdown -I like hearing Trev Alberts going off on rants -I watch IMax a lot -I nearly cried after the Eagles lost to Tampa in the 2003 NFC title game and put a hole in my wall

I know this isn't associated with the conference championships, but since it's college football I thought I'd put it in here, Ole Miss has just fired head coach David Cutcliffe.
-
I'm rooting for Colorado on Saturday not because of anything against OU, but the prospect of seeing Michael Wilbon's head explode on PTI Monday because of Gary Barnett winning a conference championship is too tempting to pass up.

I don't think Faust can really be faulted for that 58-7 Miami loss in 1985. He had announced his resignation earlier in the week and the team was in shambles already.

You know, I'd love to watch the Mich State/Duke game, then I remember Vitale will be the color man. Oh and he's pissed me off already with Coach K Hummer #1. -
Haha on Mike and the Mad Dog today, Mike was giving Chris all sorts of holy hell for the Giants signing Benitez considering that Russo shit all over him when Armando Long Ball was playing for the Mets.
-
That was because of red-zone defense. I believe Minnesota got into the red-zone about 3 times in that game and was limited to field goals or turned the ball over. Stats can be awfully overrated in football, weren't the Patriots stats in 2001 around the middle?
-
Minnesota's offense is averaging a point under Green Bay's, and the Eagles held them to 16 points if you remember. Also was pretty darn effective on Moss.

I have no doubt in my mind that Simon's going to Washington, that will be Daniel Snyder's "Try to stick it to a division rival and have it blow up in your face" move for next year.
