It's obvious this is something they can't do anymore though. I mean, they go and do something like give Benoit a match on Heat, which turns out to be great, and there's an uproar...about how they're degrading Benoit by reducing him to Heat. They give Jericho a match against stevie on Heat, that was good, and while not as much, and I can remember a few who enjoyed it, there was complaining. So it's like people expect/want your Rosey vs Val Venis * affair. Or your Stevie vs random local jobber. Because evidently it's a problem when good superstars are actually put on these shows now.. edit- But the good thing is, it looks like that .3-.5 or whatever, that stopped watching Heat, are now watching RAW and/or SD. Which is their primary concern in the first place.

That's my point exactly. WWE seemingly doesn't give a shit about their weekend shows. they don't even ever promoting...except on that 'special' occasion, where you have Benoit wrestling on it or Trish defending her title or something. Other then that, nothings' really said about them. So if they don't care...fans shouldn't care, which is why it's amazing anyone...watches, which is why I would consider the .5's and .6's well/decent. and when the hell was Heat getting 4's..?? Not unless it was around the time RAW was getting like 9's or something like that. (I believe they did at one point didn't they?) And if so, it's obvious wrestling's njot as popular as it once was, so why should Heat be expected to draw 4's..? (Or not even that much but you get the point)

??? Those shows shouldn't be expected to get high ratings anyways..surprised they've been doing as well as they have for so long. (mainly Heat) There was a time when Smackdown could barely break 3.2, and hell..WWE as a whole couldn't break 3.4/3.5. So yes, ratings are up.

Now they have nothing but models pretty much...maybe that has something to do with it.

No, he's one of the many...(ok, 3) people that have a knee injury. Read he was supposed to be getting an MRI or something, possibly surgery (?) This week, or next week, or something like that can't really remember. But yea, he does have a real injury and needs time off to heal, so evidently that's the reason they took the belts off them and did this injury angle.

Well, when all Batista has done is, as you said 'utter a few choice words' and gotten in a few sly, and actually clever remarks at HHH....while Randy Orton, for one, won the world title out of no where, and then spent the remaining month running from HHH...unless he had a weapon, which at times gave the effect that pretty much he was..'scared', then well...yea, you can see why. IMO, if Evo had stayed together, and Orton was given the same lines/backstage segments etc. as Batista is right now, he'd be a hell of a lot more over. Fact is, the WWE is doing a hell of a job with the Batista push. Not to much, not to little. Something they did not do with Orton. So, what'd you expect?

FACT: Batista gets more cheers than Orton. That's the only thing that matters. And it is a problem if Orton is designated as the next big thing. Orton will always get a pop for the RKO. DDP always got a huge pop for the diamond cutter, too. But the fans aren't latching onto the guy. That's pretty obvious. I'm not here saying they should push Benoit back to the top or something, because they shouldn't. I'm just saying that Orton shouldn't be a face. He'll get screams from the girls who think he's handsome, but he will never be over bigtime as a babyface. (unless his character changes completely or something) No, I actually agree, I enjoy Orton much more as a heel. But, just saying. It's not that he's doing so terrible as a face in terms of crowd reaction, it's just that...well, crowd reaction isn't that great now anyways. As for the fact, hell, Batista's getting a bigger reaction then everyone. he got cheered...for pinning Benoit. Doesnt mean Benoit's doing a bad job as a face though does it? It's just that for once, they're doing a good job with someone, that being Batista. Really, the only person getting a bigger face reaction then Batista recently is...well...Triple H. lmao. (at times)

He's doing just fine at it right now. Yes, I took out the word huge. Because fact is, no one is 'over huge' anymore. (not even guys like Jericho or RVD..they're reactions aren't really considered huge) But, fact is, wrestling is in a different era now, no one is getting/going to get Rock, or Austin at their peak reactions. At least not for a while. Most of you just grade crowd reaction to harshly, unless of course, you like the person. Then even a few people clapping, is grounds for them getting a push. And is louder then anything *insert random smark hated wrestler* ever gets.
