Heh...I like how this time Fifi doesn't even look like the same type of dog lmao.
-
Huh?
-
you all just mentioned Mordecai. But he's the one who sounded like he has a lisp. how do you lisp "this"? PLus he said it high pitched lol..
-
Well...I guess they are about to set up for the Mordecai/Eddie. I have to say that may not be a good idea, although the program might turn out well. But I'm one of those that have said they like the mordecai character...but I dont know about pushing him to the main event this quickly.
-
It sucked. Ok no seriously...it wasn't a bad promo, just the fact that 'it's Bradshaw' like you said. Hell...his promos are never even really promos, they're shoots, because he reads, and knows that people realizes that he sucks and he feels insulted. Yea, it was a decent serious promo..but fact is it was a promo insulting America and more about him filling his own ego..didn't even really have anything to do with Eddie until the end. Sure you could say it was to gain heel heat...but as you could tell from reaction, didn't do much..and they only booed at the times he would say shut up. Can't really have a promo where the only way you get the crowd to react is by telling them not to. And eventually he will probaly end up with huge Xpac heat..and nothing more. And as has been said, it's fairly repetitive.
-
Yea...he was fired, but it's not one of those 'immidiate' firings.
-
During the match up screen earlier...they said you had to touch all four corners, so that is the stip.
-
@ Bradshaw talking about how he threw guys in the locker in high school... So that's where the ribs started.
-
Don't really like this guy at all. And the retarded, chewing on his toungue or whatever look...is just...weird. But I have to say I like his finisher from some odd reason. Kind of a simple yet effective thing...even if it's nothing more then any other move done.
-
Heh...Hebner showing off his skills again. And if anyone's watching :shifty:, who's the guy in the orange shirt?
-
Meh..is anyone else tired of the Over the top "blackness" if that's what you wanna call it, that Cena is trying to portray? I mean I'm still somewhat of a fan, but I really hate his promos, well the way he says some of the stuff. Liked his raps better.
-
I think it's been said that they don't. And they tried to make it seem as if he was fired because of his "promos", and racism towards Mexicans. All that stuff. But nothing about the Germany stuff.
-
I'm pretty sure this "crypt" will probaly be the size of the EC chambers or bigger...because there is no way in hell Bearer would fit in that.
-
18. Is what bubba just yelled, so I'm guessing that's right.
-
Well..this is only one I see really..so ok. Did the Rico injury look legit? And maybe they had to do a quick change..that's why the Dudleyz won, even though it's kind of odd how Paul Heyman was just standing there ready to greet him. But in the spoilers it said Rico had to be stretchered out..so I'm guessing he's legit injured. Although I don't know whether they would have won or not.

That doesn't really imply there will be commentary... There's were also intros like that for HCTP that had an announcer or something saying the name, but there's no commentary in that.
-
Cinderella or something I believe, but I think that's right.

Wait, Mick Foley and Cactus Jack aren't the same wrestlers? RVD was in the first legends of wrestling game, so he is a legend. But Booker T? A black legend? I can't believe Vince let this happen Ehhh..Im pretty sure killing Mick Foley was either 1) Throwing him down the steps or 2) Beating him at Wrestlemania. Whereas he beat Cactus Jack at Backlash. So technically...two different people.

I know Velocity was posted...but these weren't up yet.

But that's just it...no it couldn't. Sure the cocky heel roll...yea that could have gone to anyone else, you're right. But the evolution roll, that couldn't. We all know from a smark POV how HHH can be, so of course you're going to have to have someone that he likes, or gets along with. And evidently Orton is one of those people. I don't really know how many other young superstars are good friends with Trips...but I don't think it's many, so I doubt that they could have just...picked someone like Matt Hardy out of the blue to do the Evolution roll. Or some other young superstar that's been mentioned. And that's why Orton is over...they did begin to play to his strengths. You're saying they didn't really have to push him, they could have left him midcard...allow him to grow on Heat. If they did that...he would probaly be just like London. For instance, Orlando Jordan, they're allowing him to grow on Velocity, trying to get teh crowd behind him every now and then...it's semi working, but I doubt there is anyone that can buy Orlando as being brought up to SD then fighting for the US title, or even worse the WWE title. So they possibly went the right way with Orton.

But how is it worth all that trouble when once he gets onto a major stage, he's still got a significant amount of learning to do? I mean, when you really sit back and think about it, has he really accomplished anything that couldn't have been done (and done better) by more experienced wrestlers? I don't wanna sound like I'm hating on him or anything, because I've been kinder to Orton than most posters here, but I never really understood the urgency in getting him over so soon because he's still very young. He's probably got a lot more years left in the business and in all likelihood, he was gonna be a star anyway, so why the rush? Because you know how on many boards...people are always like "Heh...that's why WWE needs to push new talent". Well this is the talent they've chosen. People know that soon these main eventers...Taker, Trips, HBK..all of them will be gone and they always want WWE to get new stars. And that's what they're doing, it's just not the stars that people want, but really there's nothign can do about it..and eventually those stars that they are pushing will improve anyways. Perfect examples being Randy Orton and Rene Dupree. And people can say he's getting a monster push...but most don't think about at least he's not getting the Lesnar push. Now I'm not gonna down Lesnar because he had size and talent...so it worked. But still, what if it didn't? At lesat they didn't do that with Orton. Or Tomko. Or Mordecai...although that one they may soon with the lack of SD stars. I'm just trying to say, WWE is half way doing something right, and that's making new stars. And I suppose they want to make them now...because they know that if they try to take the long route..and wait about 2-3 years...they won't be able to rely on their big stars to be there anymore. And that would be a bad predicament when all your stars are gone, and the new ones you were thinking of pushing are only halfway over yet fighting for the World title.

Ehhh...I'm an 'Orton mark' also..but Rrrsh..you're definitely going about it the wrong way. Just sounds like an extra case of markism..rather then you know, backing up what you say with a real point. I'm a huge Orton fan, but to try to put it off as Christian, well not being that good in the cocky role compared to Orton is going to far. I especially loved him in the whole "This isn't a damned episode of the O.C." period.

Ok...but look at how it would pan out if they were in the midcard. Main event- Benoit, HHH, HBK, Kane Upper- Jericho, Christian, Edge Ok that's about how it would look...now we all know Jericho/Christian they're talented, and can have some great matches, but we can only take so much of them. As has been proven by when people started getting tired of Trish/Jericho...which was basically Christian/Jericho. If you ask me, that would be a pretty lackluster uppermidcard, even just the small addition of Orton makes it that much better. And you might say Benjamin could be up there...but seriously, after he beat Triple H...then where would he have went? Of course he then even beat Flair clean..so he would have moved to what Christian? Who would have probaly still been involved with Jericho? Edge is face. I doubt they would push him to the main. So in a way the fact that Orton is upper mid...is actually keeping Shelton at uppermid so to speak. So IMO without Orton...the upper midcard area wouldn't be as good...
-
Who's finisher hasn't Michaels no sold? Out of people he's faced. And as for the second part...yea..because injuries don't happen in wrestling. . It's not like he's the first and he definitely won't be the last.
-
But the thing is...I think that there is a possibility that Orton could have got over on his own. Sure we know he was 'pushed down out throats' and now it seems as if more people are starting to like him somewhat...but I honestly feel he didn't 'need' the uber push. Of course if they would have went the normal route..right now he'd still be a mid carder...but how you described Christian I think Orton may have began to improve and would then get a better fanbase. Of course we'll never know, because he was pushed from the start... But I'm just saying, I think he could have been a 'Christian' and improved over time, until the point where he would have garnered a good reaction on his own. Of course, others may not agree though.
