You obviously haven't been reading anything. Kurt using pull isn't new. He changed the booking for the Main Event of Vengeance (a PPV which featured one of the lowest buyrates that year, and ALSO saw Kurt Angle win the title. Coincedence?) No he never. The rumour was that Kurt got Show added to the match so he didn't have to do the job. Of course, Kurt won the match so that's complete bullshit. And you also seem to forget that the Pay Per View was sold on MsManon/Gowen and McMahon/Sable. It's Kurt's fault that the show bombed? And most shows in 2003 drew jack, no one draws any more. Mainly because everyone who could have been worth a damn (Angle, Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Booker, RVD) were killed when they COULD have been made in to draws. SummerSlam 2000 drew a 1.4 buyrate. No Mercy 2000 had a 1.35 buyrate. Both of these shows were headlined by Angle (Angle vs Rock vs Triple H, Angle vs Rock). Both did better than Survivor Series 2000 (Austin vs Triple H). Unforgiven 2000 was sold heavily on Angle/Triple H, probably more than the main event. It did a 1.5 buyrate. Armageddon did a 1.15, higher than SS the previous month. NWO 2001 did a 1.6. JD00 and FL00 did 1.05 and 1.04. The buyrates went up IMMEDIATLEY after Angle was added to the main event. Keep in mind these two shows were headlined by Rock and/or Triple H, so don't put all the credit of SS, Unforgiven and NM down to them. Angle's main events also outdrew KOTR00 which featured Rock, Triple H, Kane and Undertaker. In 2001, as soon as Angle and Rock left the main events, the shows BOMBED. Headlined by Austin and Triple H. And they never recovered. That's not to say Angle was the cause of all this. He wasn't. However, he DID contribute to the buyrates. Kurt Angle HAS been a draw, however small.

Oh no, I don't WANT Angle/Cena, but it'll happen. You could just throw the first match on SD if need be, but you got to believe that Angle's jobbing to Cena before he goes.
-
I maintain that Kurt vs Taker should be at SurSeries. Kurt goes over, has successful title defenses against Cena, RVD and Rey, then drops it to Eddie at Mania. Then you can let Kurt put Cena over before having his retirement run against Rock, Shawn, Flair, Benoit and Jericho.
-
I think it would work. Taken from DVD: Maybe.
-
YES! Val Venis push! It has to happen. Val vs Jericho shall rock my world. And yours too.
-
Woah. I remember reading about some guy with a brain haemorrhage after messing up in training, but I had no idea KENZO was to do with it.
-
I'm pretty sure that the end of the run (X-Cup) came right at the time SmackDown'a good little run started (just after SummerSlam, IMO, though it was still decent before that). Though I did feel that the 6 shows following SummerSlam were all really good. Then it started sucking again.
-
Rebuttal: They had a run of really good shows last summer, that climaxed with the Super X Cup show. Everything from the Anniversary show to then was way better than anything in WWE. So they had about a ten week run.

Wow... misspelt dribble, it's pretty hateful too. What's the deal, mang? I'm sorry if I touched a nerve when speaking about 'your boy' Eugene. And no, I didn't misspell anything. It obviously went over your head. Retart.
-
And what the hell does that have to do with ANYTHING? You're babbling on about how he's holding people down or whatever, so what do you use as your example? Rock beating up Mick Foley 5 years ago. Right. If you BOTHERED Reading something earlier, Greatone mentioned Foley thought Rock was to mean during the RnS Days. I simply stated wasn't he upset at the Rock before that with the RR 99 incident? If you don't bother reading the whole thread, then don't respond to something. It's not too hard to go "Oh, I'll just replay because I have nothing better to do than to make stupid posts trying to start shit". I've just read GreatOne's original post, so I apologize for missing that. And I did read the whole topic. Your argument against me would make more sense if the posts (your post and GO's) were on different pages. They were not, meaning I made an honest mistake. I am not just 'replaying' because I have nothing better to do, as you state. I've seen you make this argument a few times now. And don't say I have nothing better to do when you make as many posts as you do.

Eugene RUNNING IN TERROR when Triple H beat up William Regal made me wonder why I was watching wrestling. Seriously, he's running up the ramp, crying like a little bitch, waving his arms in the air, and I'm supposed to cheer this idiot? And before that, the whole "you hurt my friend, you hurt William Regal" crap. God that sucked. Damn retart.

And what the hell does that have to do with ANYTHING? You're babbling on about how he's holding people down or whatever, so what do you use as your example? Rock beating up Mick Foley 5 years ago. Right.

Just a little recap I did of last weeks Heat. Tell me what you think. Sunday Night Heat (International) Sunday 15th August Taped: Monday 9th August Heat intro, pyro and we are AWAY! Todd Grisham and his sidekick Jonathan Coachman welcome us to another EXCITING edition of Sunday Night Heat. Hey, you don't need me to sell the show with expert selling like that. What makes this Heat so special, however, is that no Americans will see it! They'll see the Live Heat instead. I feel so special. Match 1 Rosey vs Steven Richards This is effectively a squash. Stevie plays the clown, trying the usual spots that go nowhere in matches with guys as big as Rosey (tries to toss him, gets reversed through the ropes, tries the bodyslam, tries the suplex). Rosey does seems to be over on Heat, however, they may be piped in chants. Stevie does finally get some offense in, but it's for nought. He's here to be squashed, and he knows it. Rosey (after taking a total of 2 bumps) makes the comeback. Nothing of note. Rosey, with the big splash and twisting leg drop, gets multiple two counts. He goes up top for a moonsault, but Stevie prevents it. Once again, it's for nothing as Rosey blocks and comes off the middle rope with a leg drop for the win. Winner: Rosey in about 3 minutes Rating: 1/4* Recap of the Benoit/Orton segment from Raw. I dunno why they showed this. Recap of the Eugene stuff from Raw. Match 2 Chuck Palumbo vs Maven Chuck has now added a beige shirt to his attire. He gets no pop. This was okay, but kind of plodding. Chuck's style is geared towards 'big man vs litle man' matches, so when he is in there with a non cruiserweight (like Maven) it can get pretty ugly. Note Chuck's best matches (in WWE) have came against the likes of Benoit, Rey and Hurricane. Maven, though similar in size to Benoit, is not as gifted, so the match isn't as good. One neat touch that sets this out from most Heat matches is the nod to last week's Hurricane/Chuck match. Chuck AGAIN uses the running snake eyes, but this time into the turnbuckle, as opposed to the guardrail. It looks better than almost any snake eyes I've seen as well, as Maven twists his head at the last second to give off a great snapping motion. Chuck, sadly, doesn't work as stiff or as snug as he usually does here, instead opting to wear Maven down with chinlocks, and headlocks. It makes for a more boring match, but is still technically sound, and logically correct (Maven hurt his neck early on with the snake eyes, Chuck stays on it with submission holds). Granted, that's as deep as the story goes, but it still makes for an okay match, even with the boring middle stretch. Maven's comebacks are timed well as he fakes on two different occasions (recieving a shoulder block, and a stiff kick to the head) before finally making the comeback with a crossbody. One of the things preventing Maven from moving further up the card is his very bland moveset. His nearfalls here consist of dropkicks, crossbodys and suplexes, nothing exciting. Chuck, meanwhile, has a wider and more interesting moveset. He gains nearfalls off a fall away slam, and his version of the Samoan drop. It becomes obvious at this time, though, that head/neck psychology was merely to fill time. Chuck never tries to capatalize on it, nor does Maven sell it. It makes the match all the more pointless. After missed attempts at the missile dropkick, and Halo DDT, Maven finally scores the win with the Stroke (Jeff Jarrett's finisher) after reversing a back body drop from Chuck. Winner: Maven in about 5:30 Rating: 3/4* The last 20 seconds of Edge/Jericho are shown, disguised as a recap. They could have at least shown the last few minutes for the kick ass finishing sequence. Benoit vs Evolution from Raw. Again, not much is shown. It's just to hammer home EUGENE VS TRIPLE H, THIS SUNDAY! Nothing of note. SummerSlam rundown. Looks a good show. Match 3 Val Venis vs Rodney Mack I'm sure this match could have main evented SS. Disappointing match, considering the role Val's been on here on Heat. Rodney is just returning from injury, though, so I'll forgive. Mack actually showed some good fire early on, hammering away on Val in the corner. He followed up with a nice gutwrench suplex, but that was pretty much the best of this match. Mack then slowed the pace down, ALOT, and (like in the Maven/Chuck match) decided to bust out the restholds. Alot of them as well. And for a long time. Really boring stuff. Val eventually made the comeback with his usual spots (Russian Legsweep, Swing Out Power Bomb, Half Nelson Suplex) all of which were decent near falls. Val, when on offense, looked good as usual, but he didn't get the chance to bump much for Mack, which he's good at. Mack eventually scored the very anti-climatic win when Jazz tripped Val. Mack followed that with a roll up, and the feet on the ropes. Why did Val job to Mack? Another bad match here. Winner: Rodney Mack in about 6 or 7 minutes Rating: 1/2* Well that's it. Bad Heat this week, probably the worst in a while. Hoepfully we get some good stuff next week, with Val getting the chance to work with Stevie, or maybe even Chuck. I'm out *BONUS* LIVE Sunday Night Heat RVD vs Rene Dupree I've never been a big fan of either guy but this was a very solid preformance. Rob looked a lot more motivated than he has in a while, nailing a good looking clothesline and a crisp armdrag early on. Rob wrestled a very smart game here, much smarter than usual. The problem with RVD is he uses alot of really pointless stuff. There is very little of that here. Van Dam immediatley makes it clear that he's going after the ribs of Rene Dupree, taking control with a twisting leg drop after the apron onto Dupree (who is on the barricade). This is to set up for the Frog Splash. RVD makes a mistake early on, though, when he goes for his finisher way too early in the match. This allows Rene to dump Rob, who lands head first on the barricade. Only 90 seconds in, but this already had the makings of a good match. Van Dam goes after the ribs to set up the FS, Dupree after the neck and head to set up the Michinoku Driver. It also shows Van Dam making a mistake and learning from it, which we see in the second half of the match. After a commercial break, Rob makes his comeback and wrestles a very sound strategy. Instead of his usual flipping and flopping, Rob takes over with basement dropkicks and leg drops, which look very realistic. Then he makes another mistake, getting too flashy for his own good by missin the cartwheel moonsault. The next time it comes round to a similar spot, Rob has learnt again, this time using Standing Thunder instead of Rolling Thunder. Rene's in ring charisma is good, but he still needs work on his timing. He gives Rob far too much offense, when he could do with some himself. The French Tickler gets an INSANE pop, which was kinda cool. Rob eventually finishes this one off with the frog splash, playing off all the previous rib work. Winner: RVD Rating: ** Thoughts: This lasted about 7 minutes, with 3 minutes cut for commercial. However, the four minutes remaining were as good as they possibly could have been. I don't like RVD, I'm not a fan. I also think Rene isn't ready for a singles push. HOWEVER, these two really impressed me tonight. Rob looked the best he has all year, Rene was more than willing to go with the flow, and they managed to incorporate a alot of nice psychology in to such a short amount of time. Rob wrestling the smart game for once, going after Dupree's ribs for the FS, learning from his mistakes. Rene took advantage of every small mistake Rob made, like when he got too over confident and went for the frog splash early on. Rene was there immediatley, and stayed on the injured neck for the rest of the match. Really fun stuff for the time they got. Anyway, any one feels like they wanna comment on this, go ahead. It's nothing great, I know, but I feel it's decent enough.

I, personally, loved Eddie/Brock. I dunno about ***** though. Triple threat and Eddie/Kurt ruled as well.
-
But this time, Eddie's challenging for the belt. He can get the big title win at Mania. It'd feel more special than this year. Eddie climbs back to the top of the mountain. You could have Kurt say Eddie has never beat him fair, whereas Kurt has. Then Eddie does it at Mania.
-
^ I'd say the other way round. Cena/Eddie, Taker/Kurt
-
But, they can get by without Cena as champ. Blow Eddie/Angle off at WM, and have Cena beat Taker. Then, Cena is the top challenger for Eddie after Mania. After he finally beats Kurt of course.
-
Eddie vs Angle part three is the key. Please, spare me. Eddie/Angle is about as stale as The Dudleyz, and Eddie's character is quite boring now as well. Angle/Cena would be infinitely better. It would work with proper booking. Have Angle "break Eddie's ankle" and let Eddie take a month off. It'll let him heal his injuries, get his head together and he'll come back more over than ever. Have Angle constantly avoid Eddie, getting different heels to face him each month (Chavo, Show, JBL), with Eddie running through them all. Kurt wins the title, Eddie wins the Rumble, and it's on at Mania.
-
Eddie vs Angle part three is the key. You could have Cean end Taker's winning run. Not like he needs it, but it would give him a big win without having him in the main event. Indeed he is.
-
Indeed. Like I said, he was going along fine in the Alliance days, tearing it up with Angle, Rocky and Jericho. So what do they do? Why, have Taker squash him in a stinker. Good job WWE. He was over (and getting face pops as a heel), having some really good matches, and hen they cut the legs from underneath him. He and Booker get insanely over. They chase the tag belts for months, have one of the best storylines in recent memory, and it's really an all-around feel good story. They have some of the funniest segments in WWE history, and have some damn good matches (the Christmas match with Jericho/Christian was awesome). So what do they do? Job them to a boring, un-over, going nowhere team. I applaud WWE. And then they feud him with H. The monster heel who's beaten everyone. He's facing the tired veteran, the guy who's got one last shot at greatness. A guy the fans can relate to, a guy who the fans love. The guy who has never got a fair share, and here he is, getting his shot on the biggest show of the year. He got it by sheer hard work. They have Triple H mock Booker, disrespect Booker. And then the pay off? Triple H beats the babyface AGAIN, and Booker's heat is GONE. Great job WWE. And, of course, they do this after Booker completely out wrestles Triple H. After he carried Triple H on his back for 20 minutes. But this means nothing.
-
Well I just posted my feelings on the subject. But yeah, he's old now, and he's kinda depressing to watch. I hope they give him one last run with the likes of Benoit, Eddie, Jericho, etc. I think a lot of it stems down to the fact that Booker just doesn't care anymore.
-
I am dissapointed in you all for the lack of Booker T love. He sucks this year, I'll give you that. Booker, prior to Mania XIX, was all kinds of awesome, though, IMO. Give him someone OTHER than John Cena to work with. Maybe he's still because he's been working with Cena for more than three months. And we've still got another two months of that feud. Let him face ANYONE other than Cena (or RVD), and goodness will proceed. Give him Rey, Eddie or Haas and you'll get results. And Booker wasn't like RVD or Kane. Booker actually got a good match out of Triple H. In fact, he was part of Triple H's best match between his return and Dec 2003 (before the Shawn match). Not only that, the Mania match was a success entirely thanks to Booker. H is blown up in about three minutes, and is sucking wind for the rest of the match. Booker bumps and sells his ass off to get something out of Trips, and he succeeds. Again, no. Booker's singles run in WWE is very underrated. When he first arrived (keep in mind he had to get used to the bigger ring, and learn 'WWE style') he had a great series of tv matches with Angle. His match with Rocky at SS01 is another very underrated bout. He had a really good match with Jericho just after his debut as well. Then nothing happened for a while. In 2002 he had an AWESOME SD match with Austin, a good match with Rocky, and a decent one with Trips. Then he had a fun match with Edge at Mania. He got a better match out of Big Show at Vengeance 2002 than anyone had in a long time. He had some good tv matches with Benoit and Guerrero, a series of solid bouts with the Un-Americans. Heck, he got something decent out of Test. Like I said, at Mania he carried Triple H to his best match in two years. And then he was killed dead by the Triple H feud. I enjoyed his matches with Christian (IC Title win and the UK PPV). His WCW stuff was really good. He could get better matches out of Scott Steiner than anyone. The best of seven with Benoit is awesome (but I'm sure Benoit carried Booker in those), his matches with Jeff Jarrett were really good. He carried Shane Douglas to the best match of his WCW run. He constantly had very good matches on WCW's ppvs, his match with Bret Hart on Nitro in 98 (with Booker going over) FUCKING RULED ALL and remains one of the best tv matches I've ever seen, and it's one of of, if not THE, MOTY for 98. Superbrawl 98 features 2 awesome Booker matches, against Rick Martel and Perry Saturn, two completely different wrestlers, with Booker wrestling two completely different matches. Souled Out 98, he had an even BETTER match with Martel. Uncensored 98 he had a very good match with Eddie. Other matches with Benoit ruled, not just the BO7, plus he had some damn fine matches with Fit Finlay. Good match with Bret at BATB 98. He had some really good - great tv matches in 98. Mainly when TV champ. He had a very good match with DISCO INFERNO at Superbrawl 99. He got a good match out of KEVIN NASH in 2000. Oh, and he had a great math with Kanyon at BATB 00. In closing, Booker T rules you all!
-
EDGE?!? You may not want him in the main event, but he should be kept in some form. And keep A-Train. He's cool. No. He's had good singles matches with Edge and Benoit this year, and I enjoyed the Vengeance match with Jericho (though a lot of people didn't). He's had solid tv matches with Tajiri and Shelton Benjamin, his match with Shawn at Armageddon was real good, and he's been in some really great tv tag matches this year (and don't put it down to 'oh he was with great workers', Batista played his part). Plus I thought his match with Jericho on Monday was pretty swank until the terrible ending. Booker was WAY more over in 2002. And because WWE didn't make him a legit main eventer back in the day, it means he doesn't deserve it now? How does that work? Booker has had ONE bad year in WWE, and that's 2004. Prior to this year, he's been really over (before Mania XIX, when his heat, shockingly, dissapeared. I wonder why?) had some damn good matches (yes he has) and has constantly been entertaining.

What kind of statement is that? STATEMENT: Randy Orton is the world champion. People like him now. Yes!
