A gimmick show of some sort. I see the Elimination Chamber being brought out.
-
Eugene rang in my local radio station today. He said hi to Uncle Eric. It was nuts.

Dupree seems to have gotten WORSE since going solo. I liked him as part of La Rez on Raw, but he just hasn't done anything for me since going to SD! I wish Conway had his push. And why where they even considering Cena vs Dupree? Cena's pinned him, like, 8 times or something.
-
You mean Orlando Jordan? No, he's still there. He just doesn't appear very much/at all on Velocity any more. He's probably still doing house shows. EDIT: Spiff beat me to it.
-
No. Just Triple H. Which is why he NEEDS to be given the title at SummerSlam. That why, he can put over some new stars who will carry the main event for years to come.
-
Wow, no mention of Benoit and Eugene/Triple H is all that matters? I am SHOCKED! And why do they bother with this Raw divas crap getting top billing? NO ONE CARES. Pushing it that hard won't make people care. And why are there no normal girls in it? Actors, models, singers, dancers, I don't give a crap about these people.

I didn't really know where to put this, but whatever. Anyway, to UK fans. Are the 'Tagged Classics' DVDs uncut? I was looking at the times on silvervision. One lasted as long as 380 minutes, while one was as short as 4 hours. So, what, if anything, is cut from these shows?

Booker T, Edge, A-Train, Chuck Palumbo, Val Venis, Test and Rob Conway.

Paydirt.

Watch Booker's WCW stuff.

Overness doesn't always translate to drawing power. 1997 Royal Rumble, headlined by Shawn vs Sid, got a 0.7 buyrate. The 1996 Rumble, headlined by Bret vs Taker, got a 1.1 buyrate. 1995 Rumble had Nash vs Bret, and got a 1.0. 94 had Taker/Yoko and did 0.9. 93, with Bret vs Razor did 1.25. The 3 Bret headlined shows did best, the Shawn show did worst. Of course Rumbles are harder to figure out who drew because of the Rumble itself, but whenever Bret was in a title match it did well, when Shawn was in one, it didn't. The 93 and 94 WrestleManias, both headlined by Bret vs Yoko, got 2.0 and 1.68. 95, headlined by Shawn vs Nash and Bigelow/Taylor got a 1.3. 96, it went down to 1.2 with Shawn in the main against Bret. 97, with Taker vs Sid got .77. The shows in 93 and 94, with Bret headlining, got more than 95 and 96, with Shawn at the top. All 4 smoked Taker in the main in 97. 96 had Bret AND Shawn, but Bret atleast had drawn against Yoko, where as Shawn bombed against Nash. What's more, it was built on Shawn's boyhood dream, and it bombed. Biggest draw for Mania in 93-97 = Bret. 96 and 97 KOTR, with Shawn headlining against Bulldog and Austin (plus Taker/Faarooq in a double main) got 0.6 and 0.6. The 95 show, headlined by Nash, actually drew more at .65. 94 KOTR (Bret vs Nash) did a .85. 93 was headlined by the actual tournament (which Bret won) and got a 1.1. Bret headlined shows outdrew the Shawn headlined shows, Taker's show, Austin's show, and Nash's. SummerSlam 92 (Bret vs Davey) did 1.5. 93 (Yoko vs Luger) did 1.2. 94 (Bret vs Owen, Taker vs Taker) did 1.3, up from the year prior now that Bret was back in the main. 95, Nash vs Mabel, did 0.9. 96 (Shawn/Vader) did a HORRIBLE .58. 97 was Bret vs Taker, and it went up to .80. Shawn headlining against Vader was the worst, Bret against Bulldog did best. The buyrate went up every time Bret headlined. SurSer 92 had Shawn vs Bret and got 1.4. 93 was the Yoko/Luger clusterfuck and drew a .82. 94 had Taker vs Yoko and Bret vs Backlund and did a 0.9. 95, with Bret vs Nash did .57, and the next year with Shawn vs Sid did .58. Bret vs Shawn at 97 did a .89. The Bret/Shawn matches drew the most, along with the Taker/Yoko/Bret/Bob show. The 95 and 96 shows bombed, but that can be put down to Nash and Sid. The two highest buyrates for IYH shows actually had Nash headlining at .83 and .81 against Sid and Shawn. Ater that it was Nash/Bret in a Cage at .77, then Sid/Nash and Nash/Shawn vs Owen/Yoko at .7 for both. The worst IYH shows both had Bret headlining against Bulldog and Sid, at .3 and .35, but the first one can be put down to Nash killing the company. IYH shows were a mixed bag anyway, so the buyrates were kinda all over the place. From the big 5 shows, however, it shows that Bret quite easily drew more than Shawn, or anyone else for that matter. Shawn headlined shows (against Vader and Sid the most noticeable) bombed, with Bret headlined shows (Owen, Taker) doing better.

Except that the guy has completely choked everytime he's been in a big match. BENOIT couldn't drag a decent match out of him. He blew it then, he blew it against Shamrock, against Rocky and after KOTR. He's not a singles wrestler.
-
Good. Now get rid of Suzuki and Heidenreich while you're at it.
-
Best SD in a while, actually. Last week was better. This show did nothing for me, outside of a decent cruiser match.
-
I don't think anything on Experience sells the pay-per-views.

How long was it?

That Benoit means nothing and HASN'T been made to look like an unstoppable babyface since WrestleMania, as you claim in quotes like this: "Benoit has been made to look like an unstoppable babyface since WrestleMania" Or when you say things like how Triple H has been jobbing alot to Benoit, Benoit looks great, etc and that it's time for Triple H, THE MONSTER HEEL, to get his win back because 'monster heels don't always lose all the time'. So what is it: Has Benoit been made to look 'unstoppable', been the focus of the shows, and put over Triple H so many times OR Has the focus been on Triple H/Eugene as you claim above? If that is the case, doesn't that kinda make your arguments about Benoit being 'unstoppable' and being the focus of the shows invalid? After all, what's the point in being unstoppable when a retard is being pushed over you? Keep in mind Benoit is, ya know, THE CHAMPION.
-
MrZ is the worst/best example of this.
-
Of course, Benoit had nothing to do with that. Or the fact that the overrun is usually strong every week. Your comment is an interesting one though. You have to admit that Benoit either contributed to the high rating, or he doesn't matter to WWE (as proven by you admitting that the segment was all about Eugene/H). So he's either a ratings draw, or he's being used badly. The entire show was building to what would HHH do to Euegene. Period. No one really thought he'd beat Benoit. Silly Benoit fan. So, you're admitting Benoit doesn't matter? The focus is on the challenger, not the champ, as everyone has been saying all along. If your main even, featuring your WORLD CHAMPION, is focused around a retard and the heel challenging for the title, what does that say about the champ? He's a lame duck, and you know it. You just won't admit it because of your bias to Triple H. Silly Triple H fan.
-
Taker's reign in 97 was decent. Some fun matches with Foley, Vader and Bret. Bret was WWE's biggest draw during his entire main event run from 92/3 - 97.

That's because Triple H has beaten everyone. It's because Evolution are the only heels who are pushed. Seriously, would a Jericho/Benoit feud be THAT hard to do? Would it cause people to turn off the channel? Would it make the buyrates any worse than they are now? No, it wouldn't. So what's stopping them from doing it? I mean, if Triple H was having 6.0 segments on Raw, bringing in 500,000 buys for a ppv, making stars left and right, and having **** matches every month, then he SHOULD be the number one guy. But he isn't doing any of that stuff. Using Jericho or Edge, or establishing Christian, Kane or Batista wouldn't exactly kill the company. It would do just as well as anything that can be done with Triple H. So do it.

More well known names? Larger name talent? Celebrities? Do we even know who these girls are? Seriously, don't try and kid su that these women actually mean something. I think there is probably about one person who people MAY have heard of before this crap.
-
They did that last time and it bombed. Triple H was the most boring, bland and annoying main event face in some time. He can only work heel (when in the main event scene). Well I guess that's technically correct. But one defeat was by count out, so I didn't include it. But if you want to consider it as a 'real' defeat, then fine. He lost FOUR matches.

So Taker and Triple H are working out as the champs at Slam? I LOVE WWE! SD! is dead to me now. I shall no longer watch. This shall be the first SD I ever miss. JBL as champ and not Eddie does that to ya.
