Share the last dream you had

I had watched the Jackass movie and Home Alone two nights ago (don't ask why) so they both figured into it. It was me, 3 other guys, a girl and a 5 year old kid (who was the Home Alone kid) locked in a house. There were a bunch of people who broke in and they had a crocodile roaming around the house (from Jackass). We kept hiding in different rooms from it until it was put down a chimney or a pipe or something. So we ran into another room where one of 'the bad guys' was waiting for us. Somebody stabbed him and the police came. Then someone in the group commented that 'this could be the last summer that we are all together'. And that was it. Weird stuff. There was alot more that probably links all that junk together, but I forgot it immediatley. Oh well.

    Euro 2004

Fuck yes! Another goal for Baros. A tenner at 66-1. Come on Milan!
  3. Whatever. It's obvious you have a very different taste in wrestling than myself as proven by your hate for Austin, Booker and a few others. It also seems you like to judge a wrestler's entire variety of matches on one match, as noted by your analysis of an Austin match. Therefore, it would be pointless for me to continue arguing with you.

The Article that cost Luger the WWF Belt

Am I the only one who thought the person who wrote that article came across as a complete jackass?
  6. Raw in Manchester? FUCK YES. I am so there.

    6/24 Smackdown Spoilers

You call that tag reign serious? And Dupree was much better when teaming with Conway on Raw. La Resistance was good then. Anyway, looks like another crappy show from a brand that's used to putting on crappy shows.

I too believe Eugene will pin Triple H. No doubt due to wacky interference from Rocky.

    Tentative SummerSlam card

I'd say if Eugene turned he would reamin as he is now. It would just be Trips taking advantage of Eugene. They could do something where H convinces Eugene that Benoit doesn't like him, and that H is his only friend. Eugene turns on Benoit and becomes a stooge for H, but is still a face at the same time, because he doesn't know any better. Finally, at SSeries, he could realise (afer Regal tells him or something) that Trips has been using him, turns on him, and costs him the title to Benoit, or Jericho, or whoever.
  10. Other than Benoit, though, what is Booker's best? I personally find him boring in the ring. Nothing he does really holds my attention. He's just....there. Alot of Booker's WCW stuff is really under-rated and over looked. The Benoit matches I have already mentioned, but for some other examples, watch Superbrawl 98 where Booker has two really good matches with two completely different types of wrestler (Saturn and Martel). Booker goes nearly 30 minutes in those two matches combined (right after each other as well) and puts in a great performance in both. Watch Souled Out 98 when Booker and Martel have an excellent match. A match that smokes everything that Orton has done. More 98 stuff from Booker, as he had another good match, this time with Eddie at Uncensored. Spring Stampede features a decent match with Benoit, but it's probably the worst match they had. GAB, he has a GREAT match with Benoit, way better than anything Orton has ever done. He also has a pretty good match on that show with Finlay. In 99, he had a very good match with Disco Inferno at Superbrawl. DISCO INFERNO. Uncensored, he had another good match, this time with Steiner. Keep in mind Steiner was complete garbage at this point. Spring Stampede, another damn good match with Steiner. No one got better out of Steiner than Booker. Then they put him back with Stevie Ray, but whatever. In 2000, he had a decent match with Sting (who as death for anyone who wanted a decent match at that point) at Spring Stampede. Bash At The Beach he had a good match with Kanyon, and then a really good match with Jeff Jarrett. New Blood Rising, another good match with Jarrett. Mayhem, he had another good match with Steiner. Away from that, watch the Uncensored 96 match when Booker teams with Sting to face L.O.D in a street fight. The match drags about and is too long at 30 mins, but Booker carries the three of them on his back to make the match decent. This was before he was a singles wrestler, and the other guys were still 'ok' as opposed to 'complete crap'. Yet, Booker is easily the star of the match. At Hog Wild he does the same as he does everything possible to carry the load in a match with the Steiners. He somehow manages to make it decent. I can't remember much of his Nitro and Thunder stuff but there is alot of good stuff buried in there. Booker's WWE work hasn't been that good since the match with Triple H at Mania last year, but then he hasn't really had the chance to show it. After that, he was stuck in a dead end feud with Christian, then he was out injured for a few months, then he had a feud with Mark Henry, then tagging with RVD, then a feud with Taker. Doesn't exactly let him have ***1/2 matches every week does it? Compare that to Orton who is wrestling Foley, Benoit, Shelton, Edge and Jericho week after week. I would say it's obvious who is more likely to have the better series of matches judging from that. Back to Mania. Watch his match with H. Trips is blown up, like, 3 minutes in. Booker COMPLETELY carries him through the rest of the match. His selling is great, he times his comebacks well, and all his spots look clean and crisp. What's more, he got the best non gimmick match out of Triple H since his return a year earlier. That's not saying much, but their match was better than H's matches with RVD, Kane, Jericho, Hogan, Taker and Steiner. I'd even say it was better than the matches Trips had with Angle a year earlier. Prior to that, he was used in a tag team. So it's hard to compare that work to Orton's. However, the tag matches he was involved in where better than any matches they had on Raw in a long time. Between Slam and Rumble he barely wrestled a meaningful singles match. Before that, he got an entertaining match out of Big Show at Vengeance, and had a couple of fun, but quick, matches with Benoit and Eddie. Booker's match with Edge at Mania was MUCH better than Orton's match with Edge a couple of weeks ago. Of course, this was Edge before he got injured, but still. The Mania match only got about 8 minutes compared to the 18 the Raw match a couple of weeks ago got, yet it was still bags of fun. He also had a really fun match with Matt Hardy at Rebellion in 02. Better than any non gimmick matches Orton has had. Go back and watch Booker when he first debuted during the InVasion. He had some really good matches with Angle, Jericho and Rock. Better than all of Orton's matches by far, with the Foley match as the possible exception. If we are going to take into account all the tag matches Orton has been in lately, which make up a majority of his good matches, then we have to take Booker's as well. The 6 man tag with the Dudleys against Angle and Edge and Christian(?) I recall being very entertaining. Watch the match where Booker regains the WCW title from Angle. Insanely hot match. The match where Angle wins the title is even better. Both are far better than anything Orton has done. And they didn't need a gimmick. In fact, throw in the Booker/Angle match from the show when WCW turned heel, as that was also great. Or how about the Rock/Jericho vs Booker/Rhyno match which was also very good fun.
  11. And Randy Orton's an outstanding wrestler? The argument is not about Booker or Orton being good/bad. It's about who has had the better matches. And really, CC, do you believe that Randy Orton's best matches (Foley) are better than Booker's (Benoit)?
  12. Erm... no. You're talking out of your ass. Please show me all the Randy Orton matches that would 'kill Booker in a battle of good matches'.
  13. He seems to work in a 'comedy' post, every third post or so. It isn't funny.
  14. Well, that's weird. You could always just ask the guy. Could you know him from anything to do with baseball or something?
  15. You're not alone man. I've had a few situations like this myself, but not as big. Have you asked any of your friends if they know him? Chances are, once you find out the guys name, it will come back to you where you know him from. High school, maybe?

    The PlayStation 3

There was a mag over here which showed a 'world exclusive' of the new PS3. It was a toaster. Not something similar to a toaster, or like the pic above. It was a white toaster, with Sony wrote on it. The games would be inserted where you insert the bread. Anyway, next issue they write about how it was all a joke, then print some of the mail they recieved over it. People actually believed it was the PS3. Alot were disgusted, and said they wouldn't buy it. Others thought the new design was outstanding and couldn't wait for it. They wrote some more wacky stuff about it, but that's all I remember.

Whats your favourite sports memory of all time?

Liverpool beating Alavez in the 2001 Uefa Cup Final. I was there. Good times. Probably the best football match I have ever seen at 5-4.

Great to see Milan on the score sheet again. I got a bet on him to be top scorer. Here's hoping. Still, great game tonight. The Czechs were outstanding.

    What RAW superstar...

And Brock wasn't willing to improve? He didn't want to get squashed by Taker; can you blame him? What point is there is putting Taker over anyone these days?

WWE News from the 6/21 Observer

They need to have a ppv in UK. A real ppv, not a UK only one. The crowds over here are great. Heck, do a mini 2 week tour or something, and give us a few Raws.

    What RAW superstar...

I'd probably be all for Jericho getting moved back to Smackdown if it meant that John Cena wouldn't bury heel Jericho every week with shitty face raps and have another feud with him. I'd be all for a face Jericho vs heel Cena feud. Jericho's act as a face can get pretty lame, but him ripping on Cena's raps would be good stuff. Just so long as it's nothing like the Cena/Angle feud. I'd say move Jericho to SD, but I don't want that until they blow off his feud with Christian and give us a 20 minute match with him and Benoit.

Having Benoit defend against Eugene on Raw some time would rule all kinds of ass, though.
  24. Dark Age

    So, anybody think

Actually he is supposedly open to being more dedicated to wrestling if his movies doesn't turn out for the best, but you might be right, it could just be another Rock spiel at work. Yeah. God damn that self-serving, ego maniac Rock coming back to help get Eugene over. Who the hell does he thing he is? BTW, I think Rock will be at Raw. In fact, I'm quite sure of it. Again, you're right. Looks like Jericho, Edge, Shelton, Evolution and Kane will all look like asses as well. Is that all you do? Point to how un-over Benoit is (which is wrong, but whatever)? Eugene is one of the most over guys in the company right now, so why is it that just Benoit will look stupid for getting out popped by him?
  25. Brock and Rock were also both on Raw the night after Vengeance. Brock ignored Rocky as he walked down the ramp, then at the end of the show (before leaving to SD) he came out smiling at Rock, before throwing the belt at his feet. God I loved that feud.
