Javier Bardem is a lock for best supprting actor, deservingly so. Daniel Day will probably snatch up best actor but I won't count out Johnny Depp getting the upset. I haven't seen "Away From Her" but Julie Christie has snatched up every award for her performance so far so I expect the same here though I would love Ellen Page to win. Blanchet is probably getting best supporting actress because no way in hell is she winning for Elizabeth. Best picture? Hard to say. No Country SHOULD win but TWBB will probably take it. The Cohens better fucking win best director. Easily their best work since "Fargo".

Brad Renfro's death didn't surprise me given his past history with drugs. This however is completely left field and unexpected. Coming up on one of the biggest roles of his career and probably the most anticipated performance this year only to have him drop dead. This is absolutley sad and indeed The Dark Knight will be an even bigger box office smash.

Planet Terror isn't getting shit. Special effects maybe and even that's a stretch. The Michael Clayton buzz is strange because everyone I know who saw the movie hated it and it didn't do well at the box office. Anyway, No Country and There Will Be Blood will definatley get most of the love here and Javier Bardem absolutley deserves a win for his performance.

I don't understand why people aren't liking the film because it doesn't explain the monster's origin. The film is supposed to take place from the perspective of a person at the exact location when the attack happened. You're not gonna be looking for answers when you're running for your life.

I'm going with '98 mostly because it was filled with the Gang War stables like NOD and DOA and I felt there were way too many jobbers in there (Tom Brandi says hi) and a lot of people who should have been pushed in the match were leiminated too early (Owen Hart). '95 was fun to watch despite being so short and I actually think '99 was entertaining as well because the crowd was hot.

There were some really obvious flaws in movie but overall it was exactly what it was: huge disasterpiece. I thought the monster looked really good as well.

I thought Simon Diamond would be the next big thing around 1999 or so. Feel like an ass about that one. I also thought Steve Corino would become a huge WWE star following the demise of ECW and I thought Vampiro would be WCW world champ eventually.
