Looks below average this week. Oh well.

    Eddie Guerrero DVD details

Look at the match list closer, algrim. Also, for those complain about no Eddy w/ Art Barr, look at the match list closer too! (i.e.: When World's Collide) Personally, I'm pissed Eddy vs. Brock from NWO isn't included since I ain't buying that DVD cause the show sucked until the ME (Rey vs. Chavo was good though but still...) Look closer, his match vs. Brock is on there.

    Eddie Guerrero DVD details

I'm assuming this is the ladder match? Meh, this'll be nice to re-watch again, just to see Eddy stiff shot that fan. I was hoping for some Art Barr/Eddy gold, but nope. Instead we get a somewhat weak ladder match [if thats the RVD vs. EG match from RAW, as I beleive they had a regular singles match on RAW as well], a Triple Threat Tag match that's pretty damn recent and is a good match, but not required for a DVD like this, no NJ matches which is a huge dissapointment, as I'd love to see some alternate commentary with Eddy and Dean like Benoit has on his DVD, also I beleive the Benoit vs. Eddy from Vengeance could possibly be their weakest of their encounters, I'd rather have seen the No Way Out 2001 Four-Way than that, especially since the Vengeance match is rather decent. The Brock match has to be on their for significance reasons, and I guess they felt the same for the vs. Chavo match, but if I recall that the Jericho/Eddy match from Fall Brawl was pretty mediocre..... Oh well, I'll still buy it. :-/

    Eddie Guerrero DVD details

Looking at Guerrero's DVD line-up, I was a bit more depressed no Puro matches as Black Tiger. I figured they picked the lesser Tiger-Pegasus match, to include the better one on Eddy's DVD. :-\

    *Smackdown Spoilers* from Philadelphia

He did have a match in front of his fans, of course this meaning the live crowd. He had a match on Velocity. So the ECW/Philly fans still got to see him wrestle.
  6. Bah, whatever, the only PWG I've seen so far has been BAM3000 [wasn't very impressed with it], and I'm getting Tango & Cash Tourny soon, so after that I'll concentrate on getting the rest. Didn't realize they were feuding. Sorry, I must have been "on something" due to my lack of knowing PWG feuds.
  7. Hmmm, PWG stealing ROH's Dragon/Joe thunder now huh? Isn't Dragon/Joe scheduled for 8.28? Heh, not a bad move by PWG.

Benoit vs HHH Ironman match thread

If they really wanted ratings points and wanted to milk the iron man cow, they'd have it from 9PM to 10PM as the normal 1 hour Iron Man, and then have it go into overtime for the overflow, a good 10-15 minute over-flow with the ending involving run-ins with Eugene, Evolution, Bischoff, and Regal. Not saying that SHOULD happen. But if they wanted ratings, compared to a good match, thats what they SHOULD do.
  9. Yea, I forgot about that, I think I blocked most of it out as Kawada just PWNDZ Foley.
  10. Counting his TRUE "retirement" match at No Way Out 2000, he's wrestled: WrestleMania 2000/16 WrestleMania XX RAW [in the 4v4 match] Backlash 2004 And this isn't counting any indies, that I'm not sure of he worked for.

WWE 24/7 should be like the NFL Network....

I don't know for sure, I can only guess, but I don't think there is 750+ hours of NFL footage. As Vince claims his video library is 750+ hours. Plus, then you can figure in how WWE produces 2 hours for RAW [really like 2 hours and 15 minutes at most], 2 hours for SDown, 1 hour for Velocity, 1 hour for HEAT, 1 hour for AfterBurn, 1 hour for Livewire or whatever the SDown version of Afterburn is, and 1 hour for Exeperience. Thats 9+ hours a week. Not counting if they do tape house shows, and dark matches, which I'm not entirely sure if they do or don't. [i think they do sometimes, if their going ot use it for a television vignette.] And this is only one week. After 3 weeks, counting one PPV into that, thats about 30 hours worth of footage. So, rounding up, saying every 3 weeks, they produce 30 hours of video, after 10 weeks, that would be 300 hours. There is 52 weeks in a year. 52 x 9 = 468. 12 PPVs at 3 hours each = 36 hours. 468 + 36 = 504 hours. And thats ONE year. Give or take a few hours/minutes, and this isn't even counting DVDs they produce, or other bits of footage they shoot but do not use, nor does this include the possibility of them taping house shows and dark matches. When Vince says 750+ hours of footage, I honestly think its probably a good 3-5 times that. Considering how vast AWA, NWA, and WCW videos were. Even ECW had a decent size to it. Add in WWE has been producing 9 hours of footage weekly since, roughly 2002, thats.... [for 2002 and 2003] a total of: 1,008 hours. Sure, WWE has less personalities and such to work with when it comes to producing new shoot, or other such type of video segments, their sheer vast amount of Free TV footage alone, is massive enough to launch a WWE 24/7 channel, and considering that the library is only going to grow, it can and probably will easily out-grow whatever the NFL video libraries have. And this is also not assuming Vince buys any other companies libraries, considering he's looking into a few older territories, plus XPW's library, plus if he doesn't buy out any other defunct random Indies.

How much better is HDTV over regular TV?

WWE 24/7 should be like the NFL Network....

For some of the house shows and early ECW shows that weren't televised or truely taped. Theres a few that Rob has that his versions are the only that exist. Plus, I imagine Vince might want some of the shoots that he has of ECW, WCW, WWF, NWA guys.

WWE 24/7 should be like the NFL Network....

I'm suprised he hasn't contacted Rob Fagstein about all of his privately shot ECW crap.

And Bill Watts I beleive as well. Not 100% sure. There is some other old outlaying territories refusing to give him the rights/libraries. Also, I beleive, though this was rumored, that at one point Vince wanted to pick up the XPW library. Though I have no idea why he'd want it, cuz its doubtful he'd ever show it off.

WWE 24/7 should be like the NFL Network....

I beleive they own SMW as well, and some small NWA territories from back in the day.

    WWE Spotlight

Benoit also used the Liontamer during the Benoit-Kurt submissions only portion of their 2/3 Falls match at JDay 2001, leading up to him and Jericho teaming later that night in the Tag Team turmoil/gauntlet match.

Matches Announced for 7/23 and 7/31 IWA Events

I'm really looking forward to these: MATT SYDAL vs. CM PUNK "Anarchist" ARIK CANNON vs. "American Dragon" BRYAN DANIELSON "The Phenomenal" AJ STYLES vs. DELIRIOUS Matt Sydal is going to be a very huge star one day [at least on the indies], and he's very entertaining to watch. So I'm intrigued by that match. Plus Cannon vs. Dragon should be huge. And Styles vs. Delirious will be interesting.

The last great world title match

Austin-Rock from WM17 was a classic, though it was NO DQ. Brock-Angle from WM19 wasn't too solidly bad. And Brock-Angle from SSlam 03 wasn't too horid as well. And Angle-Austin from SSlam 01 was very good, and if I recall it had no gimmick, just a gimmicked ending. Angle-Benoit from RR03 could be considered as well.
