The new host of the Price is Right is...
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Mik's topic in Television & Film
This is why us east coasters get aggravated come playoff time. As for CBS, I don't think they got hosed. The guy doesn't win anything extra for being exactly right. Heck, it could be perfectly legitimate. They've had what, over 15,000 guesses over their lifespan? Someone is bound to get lucky. he won both showcases. -

Delaware and their annoying toll gouging! -
Except if you're in the two local markets, since the TV contract mandates that all games in a local team's market be shown over the air. I watched the Ravens/Bengals NFL network game the first year they did Thursday games on NFL Network in HD and it wasnt blacked out. Also, NFL.com has a special companion thing on their website to go along with the NFL Net broadcast which is what I'll be doing since Im on the road to NJ.

Its a NFL Network game..national. unless of course you dont get NFL Network..aww..

I have no way to tell if I was on screen or not til tomorrow when it gets uploaded and even then the video quality online sucks. Even though I was on the side opposite the camera I was probably too high up so I doubt it.

Only 17 hours of Cowboys coverage? PFT.

Look at all the links I posted to the playoff scenarios. Ravens have tiebreakers over all 3 AFC East teams in contention.

I could go for a recap of SD show since I cant watch it.

16 screens at our theatre here and its not even going to be on even one of them for 1 show...yet they've got a screen showing Delgo 5 times. I have never even heard of that, and when I searched about it I pulled up this tidbit: "Delgo received the title of "Worst Wide Release Opening Ever" by only earning $511,920 on 2,160 screens. That is equal to about an average of only two viewers per showing site"

The next time you're at the checkout counter and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you can have on, Supermarket Sweep! Used to love that show. -
Dallas Clark is a one man Jaguar wrecking crew.

Colts losing tonight and next week to the Titans (possible) could bounce them out of the playoffs if the Ravens and Patriots get to 11-5.

TPIR looks good in HD. and I decided to bump this thread since I thought it reflected how bad Drew is as host but I had no idea it took them an hour to figure out if he was cheating or not which sapped his reaction. -
A) I dont hate black people B) If you dont like my current sig banner, you're really not going to like my new one.

WORST. HOST. EVER. He could have acted a little more excited than if he was watching paint dry in the corner. -
He at least made it to tv once.

Say what? The Jets haven't won a game on the west coast this season (they've gone 0-3 against the Niners, Chargers and Raiders). The Cardinals haven't won a game on the east coast this season. I'd say a Jets loss is a wee bit more likely than a Pats loss this week. The Ravens need the Patriots to lose at least once in case they lose vs Dallas (as long as they beat Jacksonville), and to me at least, a loss vs the Cardinals seems more likely than vs the Bills.

I doubt the Jets will lose to the Seahawks, but I also dont think the Ravens lose to the Cowboys..so.. Yahoo playoff simulator I was messing around with that. Interesting enough, if the Giants lose to the Panthers, their week 17 matchup with the Vikings (should the Vikings win this weekend) would be for a Bye Week/#2 seed..now how fn crazy would that be? Also, should Baltimore, NY and Miami win this week and the Patriots lose to the Cardinals (which looks more likely than the Jets losing to Seattle), and then the unthinkable happens and the Ravens lose to the Jags, the Ravens still get in with a Dolphins win over the Jets and they would play the Jets in the Wild Card Game. If the Pats beat the Cardinals this week then they would play the Jets and the Ravens would be out. So basically, if the Ravens win and Patriots lose this week, the Ravens lock up the last Wild Card spot and play the winner of Jets/Dolphins. Im rooting for that to happen. I just did your simulator, if the Jets and Ravens tie for the wild card, the Jets get the spot. Try it again because thats not possible. Both teams 10-6 (Ravens lose to Cowboys, beat Jags/Jets beat Seattle, lose to Dolphins = Ravens vs Dolphins Wild Card) Both Teams 10-6 (Ravens lose to Cowboys, beat Jags/Jets lose to Seattle, beat Dolphins = Ravens vs Jets Wild Card) Both teams 10-6 (Ravens beat Cowboys, lose to Jags/Jets lose to Seattle, beat Dolphins = Ravens vs Jets Wild Card) Both teams 10-6 (Ravens beat Cowboys, lose to Jags/Jets beat Seattle, lose to Dolphins = Ravens vs Dolphins Wild Card) Both teams 11-5 (Both teams win out = Ravens vs Jets Wild Card no matter what New England does) Both teams 9-7 (Both teams lose out = Ravens vs Dolphins Wild Card if New England loses out too) Both Teams 9-7 (Bot teams lose out = Dolphins vs Patriots Wild Card if New England gets 1 win in last 2) All the 10-6 scenarios go with the Dolphins winning week 16 and New England losing. If New England wins out, then they are in over the Ravens in all the 10-6 scenarios.

So basically, if the Ravens win and Patriots lose this week, the Ravens lock up the last Wild Card spot and play the winner of Jets/Dolphins. Im rooting for that to happen. Link to this scenario Note, in week 17 in this scenario, Dolphins/Jets is a meaningful game (winner wins the AFC East and #3 seed, loser is out), Vikings/Giants is a meaningful game (Winner gets a Bye Week) and Dallas/Philadelphia is a meaningful game (Winner gets the 1st Wild Card, loser is out). It also reminds me of 2002 when the Ravens were in the playoffs and had to go on the road in Miami and beat the Dolphins in the Wild Card round (in the infamous President Bush chokes on a pretzel game) and then had to go to Pittsburgh and play the Steelers which they lost. I dont think I could take a 3rd pittsburgh game, and with as close as the Ravens played the Titans earlier this year I think they could beat the Titans, so I am definitely rooting for the Titans to win this weekend vs Pittsburgh.

Im counting on at least 2 of my picks to be 6 feet under by this time next year, and my best bets are possible candidates to die of assasinations/bombings/war etc which would be the 25 bonus points.
