You can imagine what Glenn Beck was talking about today. Not to really knock Marvin, but I just happened to be listening to Beck this morning telling everyone to invest in gold. When Citibank comes out and says Gold will be $2000 an ounce next year one way or another (either via complete global economic collapse or rapid inflation, take your pick) and its sitting at $770ish now..I dont think thats bad advice. But he's been talking about investing in gold for well over a year now.

First of all, my biggest complaint is that Fucking Food Network stretches everything thats not in HD on their HD channel instead of leaving black bars, though a lot of the new shows are in HD. I also find it funny that I can remember when the network launched in 1996 and watching Robin Leech's show along with David Rosengarten and How to Boil Water...with Emeril..ha! Good Eats is a great show but the older episodes are way better than the last 2 or so seasons. Plus, Im not a big fan of whatever the hell he did to his hair for this season. Feasting on waves wasn't as good as the previous two Feastings either. I loved the Japanese Iron Chef and you'd think that with AB hosting the new version Id watch it religiously like I do GE but I just cant. The originals are now on Fine Living of all channels. Fine Living actually has a lot of the castoff shows from Food Network's old days like David Rosengarten, Ming Tsai and Mario Batali. I also cant watch unwrapped without expecting Mark Summers to ask if someone wants to take the physical challenge. Ace of Cakes was cool but only in small doses. Im also happy that they're bringing back Robert Irvine for Dinner Impossible instead of the dumb Iron Chef they've had doing it this season. Had Irvine not royally fucked himself over he'd have probably had a big career on Food Network. and finally..Paula Deen..ugh.

Since Canadian money was mentioned and since I cant quite afford to invest in Gold (though, with gold supposedly well on its way to $2000 an ounce by next year I think I should find a way) Im strongly considering investing a bit of money in 1 oz silver Canadian Maple Leaf $5 coins for $14 a piece. Silver currently goes for about $10 an ounce and those coins have an ounce of 99.99% pure silver in them. Ive heard Silver will increase in value just like gold even though the price has fallen over 50% in the last two months.

The Ravens should win the game, but they have been pretty bad the last 2 or 3 years when they get on national TV for some reason as they have lost their last 7 primetime/nationally televised games. This year they lost to the Steelers on MNF. Last year they lost to the Bengals, Steelers, Patriots (coughcough) and Colts in primetime though they probably played their most inspired football in that loss to NE. In 2006, they lost to Denver and the Colts in the playoffs.

I didnt realize that the 12/16 SD and ECW taping Im going to in Baltimore will not only be the last time ECW is shown "live" on Tuesdays but also possibly the last show at the Baltimore Arena/1st Mariner Arena because they're tearing it down sometime to build a new arena on the same site in the near future.

I have got to see that HD/Colorized Colts/Giants game on ESPN..it looked awesome.

I doubt 10 people didnt see an unfolded $50 bill laying face down on the ground. I could buy 1 or 2 people..but 10? Possible explanation is that they might have thought it was counterfeit, or that they've never seen the backside of a $50 bill before (which features the U.S. Capital ) and maybe somehow thought it was a $2 or something dumb like that but still..

Well, it was more or less right by the sidewalk in front of the entrance and it was lit pretty well. And my point is missed somewhere here..any other time you have a $50 bill lying around with so many people around there would have probably been a stampede like at that Wal Mart over it. People were so overwhelmed with spending money to save money that they didnt see the $50 right on the ground. And for the record, I put $20 in a kettle after I bought lunch and a new mouse for my laptop, it seemed to be the thing to do.
