Well technically they are 9-8 now. If they made it to the SB they'd have 11 wins which is what the Patriots had..if they win the SB they'd have 12 and thus > Patriots.

But the Ravens will beat the Chargers to go to the Super Bowl! the Chargers can do the Ravens dirty work beating the Colts/Steelers..awesome. The Ravens have to go to California from Tennessee to get to the Super Bowl in Tampa like they did in 2001. It all makes sense! YES! Weird parellell to the 2000 playoffs..the Colts lost in OT 23-17 to the Dolphins in the Wild Card game who won the AFC East that year.

The Chargers need to finish the job next week and beat the Steelers.

What, and give SD a chance to win outright with a FG? One of the dumber things I've heard. If they freekicked from the 20, I doubt Sproles would have gotten them into FG range on the return. SD would have had to go further to kick the FG with no timeouts. As it is now, looks like OT, if not an out right chargers win anyway.

They're pretty much about 5-10 yards from FG range just on the return..should have took the safety.

The Colts should just take the safety and kick it from further out. If it gets blocked its a TD..

That punt might give the Chargers one last hope but I doubt it.

Ive never seen a closer measurement than that before in my life..by like a nanometer or something..

I hope they can at least kick a FG to tie it but they'll probably leave MVP Laser rocket arm with enough time to go right back and win anyway..

Yup, and Miami's the same team as they were back then despite winning 9 out of their 10 games since then. Do you think you could even once try to be objective? Rookie QBs struggle in the playoffs as YOU JUST SAW, but of course the Ravens are immune to all things and should easily win their next 4 games by a combined score of 124-0 with Flacco throwing for 300+ every game with a total of 13 TDs and 0 INTs. Well at least you acknowledged the Ravens #3 ranked defense. and the Chargers are rockin the powder blues despite supposedly selling them for Charity.

actually, yeah, generally you dont want to play a team again in the playoffs...they have tape on you now, against them...never goes the same way its the reason why i want to play the steelers in the afc championship game and not the colts 1) beating a division rival is tough, twice in a season even tougher...but 3 times? especially when the games were as close as they were? 2) The Colts rape us. It's like the Mayflower Curse I think they stand a better shot vs the Colts than the Steelers myself but..whatever. Im rooting for the Chargers tonight and then maybe the Chargers can knock out the Steelers too..haha.

Ryan was the OROY and played like crap today against a weak defense in pristine conditions. What Flacco did 3 months ago doesn't matter because the playoffs are a different animal. The way I see it, he's playing the same team on the same field in the same weather and Flacco's playing even better now than he was in week 7.

And thats the game..so much for the "no home teams are going to win" thing..

The safety is going to come back to haunt them. Without the safety, they go for 2 there and they're down 3 and only need a FG to tie, now they need a TD to win.
