Everything about it was built to put over the importance of the retirement stipulation. Even the Warriors tights were putting over the occasion as something special, with the words 'means more than this' and a pic of the WWF title. In fact, the whole story involving Savage from early 91 through to WM8 in 92 was just brilliant.

I havent seen his spot from last night yet (we get Raw on Friday nights at the moment) but i've enjoyed the Rock almost every other time he has appeared. And he's certainly a lot more entertaining than the boring/stale shit that John Cena subjects us to each week on SD. As long as he continues to entertain he can keep participating.

Watching WM7 again for the time in I dont know how long. So far have gotten as far as the classic Warrior/Savage retirement match, which was even better than I remembered. Randy Savage was definately a big match player, and the tension was through the roof. Still got a decent amount of enjoyment from the Savage/Liz reunion ending, and the fact people were crying in the crowd was a testament to overall story that was told. Also, 5 Big Elbows by Macho. Nobody delivered them better (sorry HBK).

I can see Orton getting together with William Regal, who also has a score to settle with HHH. Those two as allies could make for some golden segments as well.

I dont think they could be classified as a stable, but i loved the Flair/Perfect/Heenan triumvirate from 1992. Outside of that I'm going with DX and the Four Horsemen.

Statement: London/Kidman will become VERY over as a tag team, and then let us down when they have the inevitable feud.
-
I'm tempted to say it's the latter.

Will Maggie Simpson be the real shooter? Wait, sorry wrong cliffhanger.

Disagree: Haas has the potential to be way more of a name than Benoit. In ring skills may be on par one day, but Haas has him in other areas, like charisma, acting and mike work.
-
Statement: William Regal should be pushed into a headline position on Raw, and Charlie Haas should be elevated on SD.
-
Other: Brian Pillman in his 'Loose Cannon' character, and Pillman/Austin as the Hollywodd Blonds.
-
Statement: WWE, and Raw in particular, would be in a better position right now if it had been Chris Jericho instead of Chris Benoit who scored the tap-outs at WM20 and Backlash

I refuse to believe Chris Benoit has any flaws! As for Edge, he needs a complete overhaul. The heel turn is coming, but what good will it do when the companies top heel (HHH obviously) will refuse to allow him to advance up the ladder. He's going to have to wait for a long time to get a crack at headlining as a heel. If there was some way of getting him back onto Smackdown, then that's the road i'd take. Other than that, an upper-card alliance with Christian/Trish (and feud with Jericho) would be the best way to keep him visible while the Orton/HHH feud is hogging the show.

I believe we have the BIG Australia/US mens basketball match today. Not sure what time it's on, but hopefully the Boomers get up!

The Undertaker vs John Bradhaw Layfield
Australian Pride replied to Angle-plex's topic in The WWE Folder
Kane vs Undertaker from Judgement Day 1998 was terrible. Taker/Farooq from King of the Ring 1997 wasn't much better. Then there's the Diesel/Sid anti-classics from 1995. Warrior/Slaughter from Royal Rumble 91 was very bad, but the wicked sceptre shot from Savage was cool. Bob Backlund/Diesel from 1994 went 8 seconds, which automatically makes it a candidate for this. -
29. Team USA vs Hart Foundation - Canadian Stampede (17-6) 2. Edge/Rey vs Benoit/ Angle- No Mercy (15-8)
-
Chris Jericho is proof that they didn't.

Sports that should be part of the Olympics
Australian Pride replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in Sports
They just said on the radio that a survey was done on which sport should be in the olympics, and the winner was the 'Tug-of-War' with 18% of the vote. Apparently it was an event at the olympics until 1920. -
Sports that should be part of the Olympics

Darts - no fitness required so even a fat bastard has a chance at winning in it. TenPin Bowling - it's been in the Commonwealth Games, why not the Olympics? -

This gets my vote as well. -
Ian Thorpe is very annoying when being interviewed. I personally cant stand listening to him talk. Still the best swimmer in history though, no doubts about that.

Nashville is the home of country music, but i thought Graceland was in Memphis.

Brother Love Show to go head to head with Church!

I wonder which PBP is the mystery poster? -
I think he put it best when he said 'kick in the balls'. I hope he gets through it. A lot of people are told they have 'X' amount of time to live, but then surpass it, and i hope he is one of them.

Too give credit where credit is due, the US mens swimmers did well in beating our boys in the 4x200 relay race. Very close though. I'm not a real swimming fan but i could watch races like that all day long.
